ADULT CONFIRMATION PROCESS The Cathedral offers a six week Adult Confirmation Preparation Process during the Season of Lent. The process is open to persons who are 18 years or older, have graduated from high school, have been baptized in the Catholic Church, have already received their First Communion, and, for whatever reason, have not received the Sacrament of Confirmation. They should also be active in their Catholic faith. Come in or visit our website at: ADOPT-A-FAMILY: A NOTE OF THANKS Christmas has come and gone, but thanks to the generosity of Cathedral parishioners and friends who participated in the Adopt-A-Family Program, the blessings of the season live on in the homes of over 450 struggling families. As the sun rose on the morning of December 20, hundred and hundreds of boxes filled with gifts and food were delivered to the doors of these families. In those moments, strangers became family. Witnessing this annual tradition, I was deeply moved by the kindness and charity of so many people. On behalf of all whose lives you touched, may I offer our deepest thanks and our prayers that peace, love and joy will be your gift now and throughout the New Year. Monsignor Terrance Fleming, Adopt-A-Family CALIFORNIA DRIVER'S LICENSE INITIATIVE Beginning January 1, 2015, a new California law will allow undocumented immigrants to apply for driving privileges. The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels will be one of several parishes holding workshops to provide information on how to apply for this privilege. The workshops will cover basic information such as what documents will be required, what tests need to be taken, and how to prepare for the tests. Other resources will also be provided to assist those who are interested to be fully prepared when the DMV begins accepting applications. The Cathedral is offering another workshop in January: Sunday, January 11 at 2:00 pm in the Cathedral Church There is no charge for this workshop. Secured parking is available in our parking structure for $8.00.
