3 Pre-Installation PLANNING INSTALLATION For successful installation, you must have an Android or ios mobile device and wireless internet at the home or business where the Smart Doorbell will be installed. The minimum operating system requirements are ios 7.0 or Android 4.0. You will need your wireless password to complete the set-up. WARNING: Keep push button battery out of reach of children. 4 Pre-Installation (continued) SET UP 1 DOWNLOADING THE APP Ensure your mobile device is running ios 7.0 or above, or Android 4.0 or above. Search the itunes App Store or Google Play store for Smart Doorbell. Download the free app. 2 ACTIVATING THE SMART DOORBELL Plug the chime (B) into an electrical outlet using the included AC adaptor (C). The LED light on top of the chime will blink blue, then will remain blue, indicating that the chime has detected WiFi and is ready to be set. LED light B LEARNING MODE RESET VDC VOLUME CAC adaptor 3 PREPARING YOUR MOBILE DEVICE Under the WiFi settings on your mobile device, select Smartdoorbell_SET from the available networks. 4 ADDING THE SMART DOORBELL TO THE APP On your mobile device, open the Smart Doorbell app. Touch the plus icon on the screen to add a device. The Smart Doorbell will automatically appear with Name, UID, and password. If desired, delete the generic name listed and type in the name of your choice. UID and password will stay the same. Touch Configure. 5 CONNECTING THE SMART DOORBELL TO WIFI Touch the arrow next to Choose WiFi Network and select your WiFi network from the list. Type in your WiFi password and touch Confirm. The LED light on the chime will blink green for approximately 30 seconds, then will remain green, indicating that it is connected to the WiFi. Your chime is now ready to be installed. SetUp2.ai 4

5 Installation ACTIVATING THE PUSH BUTTON BATTERIES Remove the front cover of the push buttons (A) by inserting a flat head screwdriver in the slot on the bottom of the button and pulling up slightly. Remove the plastic tab from the battery compartment to allow connection to the terminal. Snap the front cover onto the base by first hooking the tops together, then snapping the base on. Repeat for the second button. SYNCING THE CHIME AND PUSH BUTTON Press and release the learning button on the chime (B). The LED light on the chime (B) will turn red. Press and release the push button (A) to hear a 1-note tune. Press and release the push button (A) again within five seconds to hear another tune. Continue pressing and releasing the button until you reach the desired tune. The red light will turn green after ten seconds, indicating the sounds have been set. Follow the above step for the second push button (A). A LED light B LEARNING MODE RESET VDC VOLUME Learning mode button AC C adaptor 38 MOUNTING THE CHIME Mark the desired screw locations on a clean wall, ensuring it is near the electrical outlet the chime (B) is plugged into. Drill a pilot hole on each mark using a 3/16 in. drill bit and Inst.ai insert the wall anchors (DD). Screw in the included #6 screws (BB) and mount the door chime (B) to the screws. 94 MOUNTING THE PUSH BUTTONS Remove the front cover from the base by following step 1. Mount the push button (A) base to a clean wall or door jamb with #4 screws (AA) or mounting tape (DD). If mounting with screws, predrill a pilot hole through the push button (A) base in the desired location using a 5/64 in. drill bit. Snap the push button (A) cover onto the base by first hooking the tops together, then snapping the base on. Repeat for second push button. 6 Operation 1 MANAGING ALERTS Each time the push button (A) rings, the app will alert your mobile device. Touch Accept on the alert to alert additional mobile devices that you ve opened the door. Touch Ignore to turn off the alert on your mobile device, but not others. Turn on/off alerts under the My Devices page in the app. 2 ADDING YOUR SMART DOORBELL TO ADDITIONAL MOBILE DEVICES Download the free app on the device. Under the Add Device page, select Manually Add Device. Enter the name of your choice, the UID (found on the back of the chime), and the password set on the original mobile device. Click Configure. 3 TURNING ALERTS ON/OFF Touch the On/Off slide icon next to the chime under My Devices. 4 CHANGING A PASSWORD Under Location or Location Services under Settings on your mobile device, make sure the phone is not set to GPS only mode. Under My Devices, touch the Settings icon next to the chime and touch Device Details. Enter your old password and your new password and click Confirm. 5 SETTING PUSH BUTTON PREFERENCES Under My Devices, touch the Settings icon next to the chime and touch Push Button Settings. Push buttons are pre-set as follows: 1. 1-note Chime = Push Button note Chime = Push Button note Chime = Push Button 3 To change which door is assigned to each push button, select a different door from the drop down menu next to each push button (A). 6 DELETING THE CHIME FROM THE APP Under My Devices, touch the Settings icon next to the chime and touch Delete Device. Touch CONFIRM in pop-up window. 6

7 Operation (continued) 7 RESETTING THE CHIME AND APP Delete the device from the app. Hold down the Reset button on the back of the chime (B) until the LED light turns blue. The chime is sounding without the push button being pushed. The app is not alerting the mobile device when the push button is pushed. The push button battery has not been activated. The chime and push button are out of transmission range. The push button battery needs to be replaced. An outside signal is interfering with the signal between the chime and push button. WiFi signal has been disconnected. On/Off slide icon under the My Devices screen is turned to Off. Confirm the activation tab has been removed and the battery is seated properly in the button. Move the chime closer to the push button location. Ensure there are no metallic objects or concrete walls hindering the signal. Replace the push button battery with a CR2032 Lithium Coin battery. Reset the chime and push button following the steps in the instructions. Confirm the WiFi is working properly and reconnect the chime to the app following the steps in the instructions. 11 Preinstalación CÓMO PLANIFICAR LA INSTALACIÓN Para la instalación exitosa tienes que disponer de un dispositivo Android o ios móvil, así como de internet inalámbrica, en la casa u oficina donde se instalará el timbre de puerta inteligente. Los requisitos mínimos del sistema operativo son ios 7.0 o Android 4.0. Necesitarás tu contraseña de servicio inalámbrico para completar la configuración. Pulsa el icono plus en la pantalla para agregar un dispositivo. Automáticamente aparecerá Smart Doorbell con Name [Nombre], UID [Identificador único] y Password (Contraseña). Si lo deseas, borra el nombre genérico que aparece en la lista y teclea el nombre de tu elección. UID y contraseña permanecerán sin cambios. Pulsa Configure [Configurar]. 5 CÓMO CONECTAR EL TIMBRE DE PUERTA INTELIGENTE A WIFI SetUp2.ai Pulsa la flecha junto a Choose WiFi Network [Seleccionar red WiFi] y elige tu red WiFi de la lista. Teclea tu contraseña de WiFi y pulsa Confirm [Confirmar]. La luz LED en la campanilla parpadeará en verde por unos 30 segundos y luego permanecerá en verde para indicar que está conectada a WiFi. Tu campanilla ya está lista para ser instalada. 4

13 Instalación CÓMO ACTIVAR LAS BATERÍAS DEL BOTÓN Quita la cubierta frontal de los botones (A) insertando un destornillador de cabeza plana en la ranura de la parte inferior del botón y halando suavemente hacia arriba. Quita la pestaña plástica del compartimiento de batería para permitir la conexión al terminal. Coloca a presión la cubierta frontal en la base enganchando primero los topes juntos y colocando enseguida la base a presión. Repite los pasos para el segundo botón. CÓMO SINCRONIZAR LA CAMPANILLA Y EL BOTÓN Presiona y libera el botón de memoria de la campanilla (B). La luz LED en la campanilla (B) se tornará roja. Presiona y libera el botón (A) para escuchar una melodía de 1 nota. Vuelve a presionar y libera el botón (A) antes de que transcurran cinco segundos para escuchar otra melodía. Continúa presionando y liberando el botón hasta que encuentres la melodía deseada. La luz roja se tornará verde a los diez segundos para indicar que los sonidos se configuraron. Sigue los pasos descritos más arriba para el segundo botón (A). Coloca a presión la cubierta del botón (A) en la base enganchando primero los topes juntos y colocando enseguida la base a presión. Repite los pasos para el segundo botón. 14 Operación 1 3 CÓMO MANEJAR LA ALERTAS Cada vez que suene el botón (A), tu dispositivo móvil recibirá alerta de app. Pulsa Accept [Aceptar] en la alerta para avisar a los dispositivos móviles adicionales que has abierto la puerta. Pulsa Ignore [Ignorar] para apagar la alerta en tu dispositivo móvil, pero no en los demás. Activa (on) y desactiva (off) alertas en la página My Devices [Mis dispositivos] de app. CÓMO ACTIVAR/DESACTIVAR LAS ALERTAS Pulsa el icono On/Off (Activar/Desactivar) junto a la campanilla bajo la sección My Devices [Mis dispositivos]. 2 4 CÓMO AGREGAR TU TIMBRE INTELIGENTE A OTROS DISPOSITIVOS MÓVILES Descarga el app gratis en el dispositivo. En la página Add Device [Agregar dispositivo], selecciona Manually Add Device [Agregar dispositivo manualmente]. Ingresa el nombre de tu elección, el UID (visible en la parte posterior de la campanilla) y la contraseña fijada en el dispositivo móvil original. Haz clic en Configure [Configurar]. CÓMO CAMBIAR LA CONTRASEÑA En Location [Ubicación] o Location Services [Servicios de ubicación] dentro de la sección Settings [Configuraciones] de tu dispositivo móvil, comprueba que el teléfono no está configurado para el modo sólo GPS. En My Devices [Mis dispositivos] pulsa primero el icono Settings [Configuraciones] junto a la campanilla y después Device Details [Detalles del dispositivo]. Ingresa tu vieja y tu nueva contraseña y haz clic en Confirm [Confirmar]. 5 CÓMO CONFIGURAR LAS PREFERENCIAS DEL BOTÓN En My Devices [Mis dispositivos] pulsa primero el icono Settings [Configuraciones] junto a la campanilla y después Push Button Settings [Configuraciones del botón]. Los botones están preconfigurados como sigue: 1. Campanilla - 1 nota = Pulsar botón 1 2. Campanilla - 2 notas = Pulsar botón 2 3. Campanilla - 8 notas = Pulsar botón 3 Para cambiar la puerta asignada a cada botón, selecciona una puerta diferente del menú desplegable hacia abajo junto a cada botón (A). 6 CÓMO ELIMINAR LA CAMPANILLA DE APP En My Devices [Mis dispositivos] pulsa primero el icono Settings [Configuraciones] junto a la campanilla y después Delete Device [Eliminar dispositivo]. Pulsa CONFIRM [Confirmar] en la ventana emergente. 6

15 Operación (continuación) 7 CÓMO RECONFIGURAR CAMPANILLA Y APP Eliminar el dispositivo de app. Mantener presionado el botón Reset [Reconfigurar] en la parte posterior de la campanilla (B) hasta que la luz LED se torne azul. La campanilla suena sin haberse presionado el botón. App no alerta al dispositivo móvil cuando se presiona el botón. La batería del botón no ha sido activada. La campanilla y el botón están fuera del rango de transmisión. La batería del botón debe ser reemplazada. Una señal exterior está interfiriendo con la señal entre la campanilla y el botón. La señal WiFi ha sido desconectada. El ícono de On/Off bajo My Devices está apagado y muestra Off. Confirma que se quitó la pestaña de activación y que la batería está bien colocada en el botón. Acerca la campanilla a la ubicación del botón. Verifica que no hay objetos metálicos ni paredes de concreto atenuando la señal. Reemplaza la batería del botón con una CR2032 de litio tipo moneda. Reconfigura la campanilla y el botón siguiendo los pasos de las instrucciones. Confirma que WiFi funciona bien y vuelve a conectar app siguiendo los pasos de las instrucciones.
