Our servers joined sixty-seven other Altar Server Ministries along with their families in recognizing the importance of all the hard work and dedication all altar servers accomplish. Gift giving is a wonderful, meaningful part of that experience. Unfortunately, severe poverty deprives many children in developing countries of this joy. Their parents are too poor to provide even one simple Christmas present. Through Cross Catholic Outreach s Box of Joy program, the students and faculty prepared a box containing basic items such as toothpaste, soap, comb, hair ribbons, school supplies, cookies or hard candy, and small toys that fit in the box. These boxes will be delivered to a child in Guatemala or Haiti who would otherwise receive nothing. Every faculty member is the head of a School Family. Every month, they gather together to work together on a service project. A representative student from Transitional Kindergarten to Grade 8 are part of each Family. Saint Anne's Student Council prepared a very special Veterans Day Assembly which included a special 'raising of the flag' ceremony and an.explanation of why Veterans Day is important to us.
