2 LIFE IN THE TRINITY The name of the Trinity is, without a doubt, the most familiar sacred name to us. We speak it every time we make the sign of the cross, and it forms the heart of our Creed. Trinity Sunday is a good day, however, to stop and reflect on the unique role of each of the three persons we name so often in the Trinity and in our own lives. When we celebrate the Eucharist on Sunday, we come together as the Body of Christ through our baptism, and through the power of the Holy Spirit we offer the whole prayer of the Mass to God the Father. This presence of the Trinity does not stop when we leave church on Sunday. We are always and everywhere members of the Body, and every thing we do as members of that Body is empowered by the Holy Spirit, all of it offered to the glory of our loving Father. Take a moment each day this week to reflect on how the persons of the Trinity were present to you during the day, and how other people came to see the presence of the Trinity in your witness to the Good News. I also want to thank everyone that came to the reception and all their kind words, cards, gifts, and beautiful flowers. I have enjoyed flowers all over my house for the last week. The community at the 6pm Mass has felt like family to me and I will miss all of you. Thank you to everyone that has helped me during the last eighteen years as core team leaders, occasional volunteers, those that cooked, baked, etc. and especially for all the prayers. Vacation Bible Camp Request! Do you have a large flat screen TV that we can borrow? We have 30 pre-school & Kinder children who will be watching some amazing Christian videos, songs, and more. We d like it to be on a TV large enough for them to watch it. Our current largest screen is only 22inches wide. We would need it from June It will be safely secured at night. Parishioners, Due to the recent vandalism issue where one of church doors with stain glass was broken, we are taking steps to lock the rear doors to the church Monday - Friday following the 8:00 am mass. These doors will still be available for exit. Parishioners are encouraged to use the front doors for entry and exit during the weekdays. As the senior population increases so does the need for resources. One resource focusing on keeping a loved one in there home is non medical home care services. Recognizing the growing need and the fragility of older adults, Catholic Charities has developed the Day Break Home Care program. The program allows seniors and disabled adults to remain in there own homes with trained and certified caregivers. Day Break Home Care assists with personal care, transportation, meal prep, appointments, and light housekeeping. We encourage our caregivers to establish a strong bond and relationship, therefore consistency is key to a successful home care experience; Having trustworthy helping hands while remaining safe and independent in the comfort of there own homes. We understand the variables and challenge that often occur with an aging adult and we understand the uniqueness of each person. 3 LA VIDA EN LA TRINIDAD El nombre de la Trinidad es, sin duda, el nombre más sagrado para nosotros: lo mencionamos cada vez que hacemos la Señal de la Cruz, y constituye el corazón de nuestro Credo. Sin embargo, el Domingo de la Trinidad es un buen día, para detenernos y reflexionar sobre el papel que cada una de las tres personas que mencionamos tanto en la Trinidad y en nuestras vidas. Cuando celebramos la Eucaristía los domingos, nos reunimos como el Cuerpo de Cristo mediante nuestro bautismo, y mediante el poder del Espíritu Santo ofrecemos la oración de la Misa a Dios Padre. Esta presencia de la Trinidad no cesa cuando dejamos la iglesia los domingos. Somos siempre y en todas partes miembros del Cuerpo, y todo lo que hacemos como miembros de ese Cuerpo recibe poder del Espíritu Santo, y todo se ofrece para la gloria de nuestro Padre amoroso. Saca un momento cada día esta semana para reflexionar sobre cómo las personas de la Trinidad estuvieron presente para ti durante el día, y cómo otra gente pudo ver la presencia de la Trinidad en tu testimonio de la Buena Nueva.
