2 CAUTION: HOT! DO NOT HOLD IN HAND WHILE OPERATING. PLACE INFLATOR ON A HARD, CLEAN SURFACE. 1. Read all instructions thoroughly before use. Failure to follow warning instructions can result in fire, injury to persons or property damage. 2. DO NOT use inflator continuously for more than 10 minutes. Allow unit to cool approximately 25 minutes between uses. DO NOT leave inflator unattended. 3. DO NOT run vehicle while inflator is operating. Engine must be turned off. ALWAYS ensure air hose chuck touches the core of the valve stem for proper inflation. 4. ALWAYS use a pressure gauge to check actual tire pressure. DO NOT OVERINFLATE. 5. For use with 12 volt DC power outlets rated 15 amps or higher. DO NOT use with older 8 amp cigarette lighter receptacles. 6. Wear protective eyewear during use (safety goggles, eyeglasses, sunglasses, etc.). STEP 1: INJECT SEALANT Move car slightly so the tire valve is in the 6 o clock position. 2. Shake can vigorously for 30 seconds. 3. Screw nozzle clockwise onto tire valve with the can upside down and vertically aligned with the valve stem. Contents of can will discharge automatically. Unscrew can when fully dispensed. NOTE: Can is for sealant delivery only and is not intended to inflate tire. If temperature is below 32 F, warm can using vehicle s interior heater vent before use.

3 STEP 2: INFLATE TIRE Place air hose connector onto tire s valve stem and push down. Close the locking lever. 2. Plug power cord into 12 volt accessory outlet to start the inflator. 3. Inflate tire to manufacturer s recommended air pressure. In passenger vehicles, this information can be found on the driver s side doorjamb and in the owner s manual. Verify tire pressure using included pencil tire gauge. 4. When proper pressure is reached, unplug power cord and disconnect air hose. Take your vehicle to a tire repair facility for a permanent professional repair within 3 days or 100 miles after use. Inform tire repair specialist that Fix-A-Flat aerosol sealant is in the tire. SEALANT REMOVAL FOR THE TIRE REPAIR PROFESSIONAL Deflate tires containing Fix-A-Flat only in well-ventilated areas. Fix-A-Flat Original sealant is non-flammable and water-based, so clean up is simple. The sealant should be rinsed or wiped out of the tire prior to making a permanent repair. Should any sealant fall on the shop floor, simply wipe it up with a rag and rinse off the area with water. This sealant will not corrode or negatively affect the rim or tire. Use of this tire sealant will not void any applicable tire warranty.

4 TROUBLESHOOTING Inflator fails to operate when plugged in: 1. The fuse, located in the plug adapter, may have blown. Unscrew the tip of the plug adapter, remove fuse and inspect. If necessary, replace fuse with one of the same size and amperage. 2. Check vehicle power outlet fuse. It should be a minimum of 15 amps. 3. Check receptacle and plug terminals for dirt (particularly tobacco). Use a nonconductive probe (not fingers or metal) to dislodge and remove debris. 4. Push the power plug firmly into the receptacle and twist it back and forth. Inflator runs but does not inflate: 1. Be sure the air hose connector is on the valve stem as far as possible before closing the locking lever. 2. Check tire for leaks and check hose for breaks and leaks at fittings. Inflator runs slowly: 1. The inflator may be overheated from excessive use. Shut it off and allow it to cool for 25 minutes. 2. The voltage may be too low. Check the condition of your vehicle s battery. NOTE: If tire is totally deflated, it is possible that the tire could separate from the rim allowing air to leak out when trying to inflate. In the event this situation occurs, you will have to jack up the tire prior to inflation. CAUTION: Keep inflator out of reach of children. NOTA: El envase es solo para aplicar el sellador y no tiene el propósito de inflar la llanta. Si la temperatura es inferior a 32 F, caliente el envase con el ventilador de la calefacción interior del vehículo antes de usarlo.

7 PASO 2: INFLE LA LLANTA Coloque el conector de la manguera en el vástago de la válvula y presiónelo hacia abajo. Cierre la palanca de seguro. 2. Conecte el cordón de corriente en la toma para accesorios de 12 voltios para arrancar el inflador. 3. Infle la llanta a la presión recomendada por el fabricante. En vehículos de pasajeros, esta información se encuentra en el marco de la puerta del conductor y en el manual del propietario. Verifique la presión de la llanta con el medidor de llantas tipo bolígrafo incluido. 4. Cuando alcance la presión adecuada, desenchufe el cordón de corriente y desconecte la manguera del aire. Lleve su vehículo a un taller de reparación para que realicen una reparación profesional dentro de tres días o 100 millas después del uso. Informe al especialista en llantas que la llanta contiene en su interior sellador en aerosol Fix-A-Flat. REMOCIÓN DEL SELLADOR PARA EL PROFESIONAL EN REPARACIÓN DE LLANTAS Desinfle llantas que contengan Fix-A-Flat solamente en lugares bien ventilados. El sellador original Fix-A-Flat no es inflamable y está hecho a base de agua, de manera que la limpieza es simple. 8 SOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS El inflador no funciona cuando se conecta: 1. El fusible que está en el adaptador del enchufe puede estar quemado. Destornille la punta del adaptador del enchufe, retire el fusible e inspecciónelo. Si es necesario, reemplace el fusible con uno del mismo amperaje. 2. Revise el fusible de la toma de corriente del vehículo. Deberá ser como mínimo de 15 amperios. 3. Revise si hay suciedad, especialmente tabaco, en la toma y en las terminales del enchufe. Use una sonda no conductora, no sus dedos o metales, para aflojar y remover residuos. 4. Empuje con firmeza el enchufe en la toma y gírelo de atrás hacia adelante. El inflador funciona pero no infla: 1. Compruebe que el conector de la manguera esté sobre el vástago de la válvula lo más adentro que sea posible antes de apretar la palanca de seguro. 2. Revise si la llanta presenta fugas, y si la manguera está agrietada y tiene fugas en sus puntos de conexión. El inflador funciona lentamente: 1. El inflador puede estar sobrecalentado debido a uso excesivo. Apáguelo y espere 25 minutos para que se enfríe. 2. El voltaje puede ser demasiado bajo. Revise la condición de la batería de su vehículo. NOTA: Si la llanta está totalmente desinflada, es posible que esté separada del aro y éste permite que el aire se escape cuando trata de inflarla. Si ocurre esta situación, levante la llanta con un gato para inflarla. PRECAUCIÓN: Mantenga el inflador lejos del alcance de los niños. Siempre use un manómetro para medir la presión real de la llanta. No infle en exceso.
