Dear Parents/Guardians: St. Mary of the Assumption Church and the Office of Religious Education would like to welcome you to our new catechetical year It is our pleasure to contribute and fulfill your expectations with the responsibility and respect towards the teaching and spiritual growth in the First Communion Preparation. Our office would like to share with you the norms of conduct that must be accepted by you when enrolling your son/daughter in this program. El fruto del silencio es la oración. Estimados Padres de Familia y Tutores: La Parroquia de St. Mary s y la Oficina de Educación Religiosa les dan la más cordial bienvenida a nuestro nuevo curso de catequesis Nos complace poder contribuir y llenar todas sus expectativas con responsabilidad y respeto en el aprendizaje y crecimiento en la fe en el proceso de preparación para de la Primera Comunión de su hijo(a). Con el profesionalismo de nuestra oficina le presentamos a usted nuestras siguientes normas de conducta que deben ser aceptadas antes de inscribir a su hijo(a). 4 REQUIREMENTS TO RECEIVE THE SACRAMENT OF FIRST COMMUNION Complete first and second year First Communion classes with regular attendance and NO MORE than 3 absences per year. Choose one sponsor during the second year, the sponsor must attend 4 faith formation classes Help with fundraisers, there is going to be only 2 fundraisers all the students must sell tickets or buy tickets. All students must attend Mass every Sunday and on special Holy Days of Obligation. All the students must learn and memorize their prayers REQUISITOS PARA RECIBIR EL SACRAMENTO DE LA PRIMERA COMUNION Completar el primer y Segundo año de clases de Primeras Comunión con regularidad. NO MAS de 3 faltas por año. Elegir un padrino en le segundo año, el padrino debe de asistir a 4 clases de formación en la fe. Ayudar a la oficina cuando realiza rifas para reunir fondos, todos los niños deben de vender o comprar los boletos. Todos los estudiantes deben de asistir a Misa de Domingo y días de obligación. Los niños deben de aprender y memorizar las oraciones.

5 REQUIREMENTS REGISTRATION AND FOR PARENTS Parent/Guardian requirements: When enrolling your son/daughter you must bring the original Baptism and Birth certificates. Full payment of enrollment fee $65.00 is due the day of enrollment. If you wish to cancel the enrollment a $20.00 fee will be kept to cover administrative fees. August 1 st, 2018 is the last day do the following: A. Cancel enrollment B. No fee will be refunded after this day You must make sure that your son/daughter arrives to class on time A. Please make sure that you sign in and sign out your son/daughter from the class each day. B. St. Mary of the Assumption Church and the Office of Religious Education and its personnel do not assume the responsibility of your son/ daughter if they are dropped off outside the premises of the Church It is very important that you, a parent/guardian encourage prayer time and aide your son/daughter to learn their prayers at home. (Remember that with our example we can encourage our children) Parents have to attend to ONE RETREAT during the 2 years and 5 Faith formation classes per year offer by the Office or any church ministry classes approve the office.

6 REQUISITOS PARA INCRIPCION Y PARA LOS PADRES DE FAMILIA Requisitos para los Padres y Tutores: Debe de presentar el acta original de Bautismo y de Nacimiento del alumno y cubrir la cuota de inscripción $65.00 en su totalidad el día que lo/a inscriba. Si usted desea cancelar la inscripción de algún estudiante le serán retenidos $20.00 por trámites de oficina. El 1 de agosto del 2018 es la fecha límite para: A. Cancelar la inscripción B. Después de esta fecha no se rembolsara nada de la cuota de REGISTRO 4.Debe de traer a su hijo(a) a la clase a tiempo. A. Favor de traer a su hijo (a) hasta el salon de clase y asegurarse de que este con el/la catequista que le corresponde, firmar al entrar y salida de su hijo(a). B. St. Mary s Church y la Oficina de Educación Religiosa y su personal NO se hace responsable de su hijo(a) si lo(a) deja afuera de las instalaciones de la Iglesia. Los padres de familia deben atender un retiro en los dos años y 5 clases de formación en la fe por año clases que ofrece la oficina o cualquier grupo de la Parroquia que sea aprobado por la Oficina.
