2 Madras Primary Winter Concert RESCHEDULED The winter concert for Madras Primary has been rescheduled for Friday, January 15th at 1:00pm at the Madras Performing Arts Center. (412 Buff st.) Families are invited to come watch and support these students. 3 Every Day Counts! We are striving to teach your children as much as we possibly can to help them grow. You can help by making sure that your child attends school regularly and is on time. Did you know that poor attendance can keep children from reading proficiently by the end of third grade, which is shown to negatively affect their chances of graduating on time? The definition of chronic absence is missing just 10% of school, or just two days per month. This adds up to 20 days per year! Often times these days add up without us even realizing it. And, did you realize that if a student is just 10 minutes late to school each day, this adds up to missing more than 30 hours of class time? Wow! That s a lot of learning! When learners are on time to school, they have ample time to get settled in, check in with their teacher and friends, eat breakfast and get their bodies and brains ready for a day of learning. Making sure your child attends school every day is one of the most important things you can do to help your child succeed in school. Todos los días cuentan! Estamos tratando de enseñar a sus hijos tanto como nos sea posible para ayudarles a crecer. Usted puede ayudar a asegurarse de que su hijo asista a la escuela regularmente y a tiempo.
