3 PENSAMIENTO DE ESTA SEMANA: La Provisión de Dios Para La Santidad A la iglesia de Dios que está en Corinto, a los santificados en Cristo Jesús, llamados a ser santos con todos los que en cualquier lugar invocan el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, Señor de ellos y nuestro: 1 Corintios 1:2 Santos! En Cristo! En estas dos frases tenemos, tal vez, las palabras más maravillosas de toda la Biblia. Santo, la palabra de insondable santificado, que expresan los serafines con sus rostros cubiertos. Santo, la palabra en la cual se centran todas las perfecciones de Dios y de la que es manantial su gloria. Santo, la palabra que revela el propósito que Dios tenía en mente con respecto al hombre, y que habla de lo que será la suprema gloria del mismo en la eternidad futura: ser participes de santidad! En Cristo, las palabras en las que se descubren la sabiduría y el amor de Dios. El Padre que da al Hijo para que sea uno con nosotros! El Hijo que muere en la cruz para hacernos uno solo consigo mismo! El Espíritu Santo que mora en nosotros para establecer y mantener esa unión! Que riqueza de significado y de bendición hay en las palabras combinadas: Santos en Cristo! Aquí está la provisión de Dios para nuestra santidad, su respuesta para nuestro interrogante: Cómo ser santo? Escuchamos el llamado a ser santos, pero parece existir un inmenso abismo entre la santidad de Dios y la del hombre. En Cristo, está el puente que cruza dicho abismo; mejor aún, su plenitud lo ha llenado. En Cristo, Dios y el hombre se encuentran; la santidad de Dios nos ha hallado y nos ha hechos suyos. Aquí está la respuesta al ansioso clamor y a los anhelos del corazón de los millares de almas sedientas que han creído en Jesús y todavía no saben cómo ser santas. Aquí tienen la respuesta de Dios, usted es santo en Cristo Jesús. Si usted recibe estas divinas palabras y las cree, la luz divina brillará en su corazón y lo llenará con el gozo y el amor divino y estará en capacidad de decir: Ahora lo veo claro. Soy santo en Cristo. DEVOTIONAL OF THE WEEK: God's Provision for Holiness To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be his holy people, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ their Lord and ours: 1 Corinthians 1:2 Holy! In Christ! These two sentences are perhaps the most wonderful words in the entire Bible. Holy, a word with an unfathomable meaning, which express the seraphim with their faces covered. Holy, the word in which all God's perfections are focused and that is the source of His glory. Holy, the word that reveals the purpose God had in mind in relation to men, and speaks of what will be the supreme glory for eternity: to partake of holiness! In Christ, are the words in which the wisdom of God and His love is discovered. The Father who gives the Son to be one with us! The Son dying on the cross to make us one with himself! The Holy Spirit who dwells in us to establish and maintain this union! What a wealth of meaning and blessing that is in these words: Saints in Christ! Here is God's provision for our holiness, his answer to our question: How can we be holy? We hear the call to be holy, but there seems to be a huge gap between the holiness of God and man. Christ is the bridge across that chasm, better yet, He has filled it. In Christ, God and man meet, the holiness of God has found us and has made us His own. Here is the answer to our anxious cries and yearnings of thousands of heart - hungry souls who believe in Jesus and still do not know how to be holy. Here is the answer from God; you are holy in Christ Jesus. If you receive these divine words and believe, divine light shines in your heart and fills it with joy and divine love. You will be able to say: I see it now. I am holy in Christ.
