Faith is not a feeling or a blind affirmation but rather the recognition, based on evidences, of an extraordinary Presence. Christianity proposes that Christ still remains with us, through the Church. We can see the signs of His Presence in the people he makes His own, in our unity, and in the happiness of His people, because nothing is more real than what can satisfy. Therefore let us open our eyes and our reason to look for the evidence of Christ s action in our lives, and so realize what it is we hope for. Rev. Please, register early, we need to buy material and books. A CALL TO CHILDREN WHO DID THEIR FIRST COMMUNION Children who already did their First Communion are invited to come back to Religious Education. Please remember that our catholic faith is a great gift that will help your child to lead a life of solid values. The more they know about their catholic faith, the more tools they will have to live a good Christian life. CONFIRMATION Confirmation is a two year program. Ideally students in public school who are in 8 th grade should be in Confirmation I and students in 9 th grade in Confirmation II. Students in public schools need to have the two year program no matter what grade they are in. Students of St. Juliana Catholic School (or any Catholic School); 8 th grade counts as Confirmation I. Eight grade students who graduated from Catholic School and are in 9 th grade can join the Confirmation II class. We have two Confirmation II groups; one on Sunday and one on Wednesday. Once one group reaches 30 students it will be closed. Please register early so you can choose the group you want. SCHOLARSHIPS FOR CATECHISM - In previous years parishioners and parish groups have donated towards the Catechism scholarships to help cover the cost of material for children whose families cannot afford tuition for First Communion preparation. We are very grateful for their generosity. We are appealing to your generosity again this year. If you would like to sponsor a child for First Communion it would be great. The tuition for Sacramental preparation is $ this includes books, crayons, pens and pencils, papers, copies, preparation of Confession day, First Communion Retreat, altar flower and other material. If you would like to sponsor a child, please contact Sister Vivian. The office for CCD will be closed for registrations on the weekend of September 7-8. NIGHT OF JOY WITH YOUTH GROUP Youth Group will be going to NIGHT OF JOY - a Christian Music festival in the Magic Kingdom. Youth from all over Florida and other states will gather at Disney World. The trip will be on Saturday, September 7 th. We still have some seats available in the bus. If any High School parishioners would like to join us, they are welcome. Por favor inscríbase temprano. Necesitamos comprar el material y los libros. LLAMADO A LOS NIÑOS Y NIÑAS QUE YA HICIERON SU PRIMERA COMUNIÓN --Los niños y niñas que ya hicieron la Primera Comunión están invitados a volver al Catecismo para continuar su educación religiosa. Recuerden que la fe es un regalo que los ayudará a llevar una vida mejor. Mientras más conozcan sus hijos sobre su fe, más herramientas tendrán para vivir una vida cristiana. CONFIRMACIONES El programa de Confirmación es un programa de 2 años. Idealmente el 8vo grado es Confirmación I y el 9no grado Confirmación II. Los jóvenes de las escuelas públicas deben tener los dos años de preparación, no importa el grado que estén. Los jóvenes que están en la Escuela Católica de Santa Juliana, u otra Escuela Católica, el 8vo grado cuenta como Confirmación I, los jóvenes que se graduaron de la Escuela Católica en 8vo grado y que ahora están en 9no grado deben inscribirse para Confirmación II. Hay dos grupos de Confirmación II, uno el domingo y otro el miércoles por la noche. Una vez que uno de los grupos llegue a los 30 estudiantes ese grupo quedara cerrado. Inscríbanse temprano para que puedan escoger el grupo que deseen. BECAS PARA CATECISMO En años pasados, feligreses y grupos apostólicos han donado becas para los niños cuyas familias no pueden cubrir los gastos para la preparación a la Primera Comunión. Estamos muy agradecidos por su generosidad. Al comenzar el nuevo curso, volvemos a hacer un llamado a aquellos que deseen ayudar a cubrir el costo de la inscripción para familias necesitadas con niños en el catecismo. El costo de la Matricula para los Sacramentos por niño es de $ Esto incluye los libros, materiales, retiro, preparación de la Confesión, flores del altar y otros materiales.
