2 2 From the Desk of Fr John Del Escritorio de Padre Juan Today is the last day of the Family Fest I want to thank all the volunteer workers who give their time so generously to the Fest and so are responsible for the success of the event The Fest Planning Committee works tremendously hard all year long in the planning of the five days I really appreciate all you do for the Family Fest I especially want to thank all those who came to the Family Fest and brought their family and friends God bless you all!!! June is traditionally a month for weddings which are always happy events If you are planning a wedding and want it at Holy Spirit, please talk to us early in the planning which allows you to get the date you want We have had some problems recently with people who come into the office with a set date for their wedding - they have already set a date with the hall - and then are disappointed when the date is already occupied by another couple I encourage you to contact us first to see if the date is open so we don t have any problems with the conflict of dates Never set a date with a hall without talking to us first This avoids many problems Also, we ask you to plan a wedding at least six months in advance Recently a few couples have wanted to marry in just two months which is not enough time to gather the proper papers, participate in marriage prep, etc In tems of weddings, speed is not your friend On Monday, June 17, we met with Bishop Rassas about the plan for the transformation project He asked us some questions about our three building blocks of Communion, Evangelization and Catechesis He also asked how we would implement the plan He said he liked it very much and so now we have approval for the plan We will contact you soon about the plan and its contents Please pray for the success of the plan so that our parish can respond well to the new opportunities for growth that we face Thanks Hoy es el ultimo día de la Feria Family Fest Muchas gracias a todos los voluntarios que ayudaron tan generosamente durante la Feria y que son responsables por el éxito de este evento El Comité de Planeación trabaja arduamente durante todo el año para planear la feria que dura cinco días En verdad agradezco grandemente todo lo que hacen para el éxito de Family Fest Gracias especialmente a todos aquellos que asistieron a la Feria y trajeron a sus familiares y amigos Que Dios los bendiga!!! El mes de junio es un mes popular para bodas, que siempre son eventos felices Si estan planeando su boda y desean celebrarla en Holy Spirit, por favor hablen con nosotros con bastante tiempo de anticipación para que puedan apartar la fecha que desean Recientemente hemos tenido problemas con personas que vienen a la oficina para apartar una fecha para su boda, pero ya tienen apartado el salon donde harán la recepción y se decepcionan cuando la fecha que desean ya esta apartada Nunca aparten el lugar donde harán la fiesta antes de hablar con nosotros Esto evita muchos problemas Tambien, les pedimos que aparten su fecha de boda cuando menos seis meses de anticipación Recientemente algunas parejas han preguntado si pueden hacer trámites para boda en dos meses Este no es suficiente tiempo para colectar papeles, participar en preparación matrimonial, etc En terminus de bodas, la rapidez no es su amigo El lunes, 17 de junio, nos reunimos con el Obispo Rassas acerca de la planeción del proyecto de transformación Nos hizo algunas preguntas acerca de Comunión, Evangelización y Catequésis Tambien nos pregunto como implementariamos este plan Nos dijo que le gustaba este plan y ahora tenemos su aprobación Pronto les daremos más información acerca de este plan Por favor oren por el éxito de este plan para que nuestra parroquia pueda responder bien a las nuevas oportunidades de crecimiento que enfrentamos Gracias
