Contact Quentin Dupont, S.J. at SIYAthere@gmail.com OUTREACH MINISTRIES SIXTH WEEK OF LENT Dignity of the Human Person Twenty-five percent of CRS Rice Bowl contributions remains in the United States to fund local hunger and poverty alleviation efforts. In the Diocese of Oakland, California, a portion of local CRS Rice Bowl funds supports the Delta Christian Community Food Pantry, a faith-based group that provides both spiritual and nutritional food for individuals and families in need, including packaging around 120 bags of food each week. A community garden often supplements the packages with fresh fruits and vegetables. In addition, the pantry provides information about job listings and available training sessions, health care and housing resources, and emotional and spiritual support. Please note: Please plan to return your Rice Bowl after Easter Sunday. It should be put in the large Rice Bowl on the Outreach table or in the Lannon Chapel. You also have the option of submitting your donation online: Thank you. MARCH 1st-28th: Our new, white socks and new shower flip-flops collection for Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program is winding down. You ll find a collection box by the Outreach table and outside the church kitchen. Please note that we will end this Outreach effort on Holy Thursday, March 28th. PROJECT BREAD S 45TH WALK FOR HUNGER is just six weeks away! How will you be involved - as a Walker, a Volunteer, a Sponsor? Online registration is open and TEAM IGNATIUS is ready to receive TEAM members: Or, you can pick up registration materials which are on the Outreach table, including the form for Volunteers. BLESSING OF EASTER FOODS: We will celebrate the Blessing of Easter Foods on Holy Saturday morning at 11AM, in the Lannon Chapel. Many families of Eastern European origin begin their Easter celebration with this custom. Perhaps you would like to start this tradition (or continue it) in your family? SHATTUCK FOURTH TUESDAY DESSERTS AND SERVING will be the 26th of this month. Desserts are always needed and we ll need servers, as well. 3 Queridos Parroquianos, Hoy entramos en el tiempo más sagrado de nuestro año litúrgico. Este Domingo de los Ramos nos invita a unir nuestros voces con los gritos de aclamación que Jesús escuchó cuando entraba en Jerusalén. Hoy día nosotros también le damos la alabanza gritando Hosanna al Hijo de David! Bendito el que viene en el nombre del Señor! Al mismo tiempo escuchamos la historia de su Pasión por la primera vez esta Semana Santa. Volvimos a escucharla el viernes Santo. Esta mezcla de aclamaciones y llantos por su sufrimiento nos guiará hasta la celebración de Pascua cuando proclamaremos su Victoria sobre la muerte y su promesa de la Vida Eterna. Espero que se puedan reunir con sus hermanos en Cristo durante esta Semana Santa. Aunque el idioma dominante durante el Triduo Pascual sea Inglés, habrán oportunidades de rezar y cantar en su idioma natal. Me daría mucho placer verlos en la asamblea durante estos servicios. Habrá un Via Crucis en Español el Viernes Santo a las cinco en la Iglesia de arriba. Y por supuesto habrá una Misa en Español el día de Pascua a las doce en la capilla. Les deseo una Semana Santa llena de bendiciones y rezo que se puedan acercar más cercanos a Cristo, nuestro Salvador. En el amor de Cristo, Padre Bob ALMA DE CRISTO Alma de Cristo, santifícame. Young adults who have been catechized but are not yet confirmed should contact the Parish Office for an alternative program.
