4 What Universities Will We Visit? A qué universidades? San Francisco State University UC Berkeley Stanford UC Santa Cruz Universidad Estatal de San Francisco Universidad de California en Berkeley Universidad Stanford Universidad de California en Santa Cruz

5 Where will we stay? Dónde nos vamos a hospedar? We will stay at Quality Inn and Suites located in South San Francisco There will be 4 students to a bedroom. Teachers will decide which students will room together. Keys will be collected from students as they go into the rooms for lights off and a piece of blue tape will be placed on the door. 6 What if my child gets sick? Qué pasaría si mi hijo/a se enfermara? We will determine the severity of the problem and if needed take them to a nearby hospital Only students with prescription medication may take medicine with them on the trip Basado en la severidad del caso, y solamente de ser necesario, los estudiantes serían llevados al hospital más cercano Solamente medicamentos con prescripción médica podrán ser llevados a la excursión.

7 Requirements for Participation Requisitos para participar Each student must have a record of positive behavior and good academic standing at the time of the trip in order to participate. Students will not be eligible to participate in the trip if he/she demonstrates the following behaviors: Violating school rules Repeatedly disrespecting any adult on campus Getting suspended from school Bullying another student has lower than a 2.0 GPA El comportamiento es una pieza fundamental al momento de decidir qué estudiantes podrán ir a la excursión. Ejemplos de comportamientos que pudieran excluir a los estudiantes de participar en esta actividad: El no acatar las reglas escolares establecidas Faltas de respeto constantes hacia los maestros o cualquier adulto que trabaja en la escuela Suspensión de la escuela Tomar parte en actividades consideradas de hostigamiento escolar un promedio académico menos de 2.0

8 How much will it cost? Cúal será el costo aproximado? The total cost of the trip is about will be either $18,000 or $21, Free Dress Friday raises approximately $8, To rest is to be paid for by parents which will be either $181 or $245 depending on the number of students that attend En su totalidad, esta actividad cuesta entre $18,00 y $21,530 y el costo se cubrirá de la siguiente manera: El dinero que se recauda los viernes podría llegar a sumar $8,000 (por eso ocupamos su apoyo) El resto deberá ser cubierto por los padres lo cual sumaría entre $181 y $245 dependiendo del

9 Money your child will need for the trip Gastos adicionales: 1. What your child will need is money for lunch, dinner, snacks as well as any spending money for souvenirs. 2. Students will need about $10 per meal. There are 8 meals that need to be paid for so they will need at least $80 for meals. (This does not include snacks, souvenirs, etc.) 3. students are responsible for their own money. Teacher will not hold on to $ for them 1. 12 Banquet & Graduation Banquete y graduación Banquet will be held on Friday June 10, 2016 from 6-11pm at the Cottonwood Golf Club The cost will be $17/person Each student may invite up to 2 guests for a total of ($51) (To be paid in full by Friday May 13) Graduation will be on Thursday June 16 at 5pm Cap and gown will be no more than $25 Banquete: viernes 10 de junio del 2016 de 6 a 11 de la noche. 15 BEHAVIOR Act respectfully and responsibly at all times Remember you represent your family and your school

16 BUS The seat you choose to sit in, is your seat for the time you are on the bus. The only time changing your seat will be permitted is once we have stopped somewhere and you are boarding again. Trash from snacks need to be thrown away in the trash bags, not on the floor. If someone chooses to sleep, please be respectful and leave them alone. Traffic can be stressful, please keep your noise level not too loud.

17 FINANCES You are responsible for your own money. Remember that you need to budget for 4 days. Keep in mind not to spend anymore than $10 per meal Please be respectful and do not ask people to buy you things or for them to share everything with you.

18 HOTEL Once we return to the hotel at the end of each day we will collect keys you will be required to remain in your room from then on. Go to sleep at a decent hour, otherwise you are going to be very tired the following day (nobody likes a cranky pants) Keep in mind the school has already paid for the hotel, any extra expenses will be billed to your parents.

19 YOUR GROUP You are required to stay with your group at all times. You will be able to interact with others, but for accountability purposes you need to be with your designated chaperone.
