2 editorial Your Chanes are Our Challenes For more than half a century, ELSTER-AMCO ( American Meter, Elster and Kromshroeder ) has been a leadin supplier to the as distribution industry in Latin America. Durin this time, the industry has moved from the manufacture and distribution of town as to the distribution of natural as as natural as reserves have rown and the ecoloical benefits of natural as over other enery sources has been reconized. ELSTER-AMCO has adapted our product desins and capacities to accommodate these chanin industry requirements, while our commitment to product quality and reliability remains unchaned. Over the last decade, chanes in the Latin American as industry have been particularly dramatic; sinificant new as reserves have been discovered ( for example, in Colombia, Bolivia, and Peru ), and the availability of natural as has expanded with the construction of new pipelines such as the Bolivia-Brazil pipeline and the Gas Andes pipeline from Arentina to Central Chile, and as distribution has been privatized ( for example Mexico and Brazil ); as a consequence of this new capital infusion, European and American as companies have entered into the market. We provide a broad product rane includin : Meters and reulators for residential applications Turbine, rotary and diaphram meters and reulators for commercial and industrial applications Electronic volume correctors and flowcomputers Measurement data manaement software systems Transmission, distribution, and industrial stations We have just introduced the newly desined BK-G1.6 residential meter ( with a capacity of 3 cubic meters an hour ) that is an extension of the Kromschroeder BK Series of meters. We also extended American Meter s line of residential reulators to include the CR4000, a smaller and more cost-effective reulator. To be responsive to customer requirements, we have established direct operations in Latin America. We have entered into a joint venture in Arentina ( ABB-ELSTER ) to manufacture a version of the Kromschroeder BK-G2.5/G4 meter. We have also established ELSTER-AMCO de Mexico in San Luis de Potosí, to manufacture the BK-G1.6 meter, the CR4000 reulator, and risers ( PE to steel pipe transition assemblies ) from our affiliate, the Perfection Corporation. We expect to continue expandin our presence in Latin America to meet the rowin needs of our customers. Finally, the rowth and chane in the Latin American natural as industry durin the next ten years promises to be at least as excitin and dynamic as they were durin the last ten years. 5 elster around the lobe companies a Global Player in the Gas Utility Industry A short overview of the main activities in the worldwide reions : Western Europe is one of the two home reions of the ELSTER-AMCO Group. The roup is active in all markets in Western Europe and has its own production facilities in 10 countries, producin products for the specific markets. A strateic feature of the roup is that all companies are manaed by local people with stron connections to industry. This enables us to supply products and services specifically developed for the market needs. Services have been developed startin with an intensive product support, repair facilities, development of customer-specific solutions, commissionin, calibration services, etc. All sales or production oranizations are supported by the centers of competence for the specific products and can utilize the special support for the benefit of the customers. The second home reion of the Elster-AMCO Group, North America, is served in the USA and in Canada by American Meter Company, Canadian Meter Company, Perfection Corporation, H&H Molded Products, and American Meter Automated Systems. These companies offer the full rane of products and services for as measurement and control, includin the installations for plastic pipes, fittins and risers. Most products are developed, produced and marketed throuh our own oranizations and resources. Additionally, American Meter Automated Systems offers products and services as one of the leadin suppliers for automated meter readin solutions to cope with the demands the new utility ae. All of these products and services are based on a lon tradition of an outstandin record of product and service quality reachin back as far as 1836, the foundin year of American Meter Company. The presence of the Elster-AMCO Group in Central and Eastern Europe has been expanded rapidly over the last 10 years. With production facilities and market oranizations in Poland, Russia, Belorussia, and Slovakia, as well as subsidiaries and sales partners in all of the other countries, ELSTER-AMCO has actively supported the development of the as industry in these countries from the first days after the fall of the iron curtain with lare scale investments and a lon-term commitment. After a period of economic difficulties and conflicts, the markets are recoverin rapidly with the increased oil and as prices and are ainin confidence to further invest in the expansion of the as networks and the industrial use of as as a source of clean enery. The two stronest rowth reions are Asia and Latin America. ELSTER-AMCO has sinificantly increased its commitment in both reions. The foundin of the new Asian aency in Sinapore has been the basis for the intensive support of the reion. We will continue to build on this foundation, both with reard to technical expertise as well as further sales support. China and Japan are covered by local sales offices with the backup support from Sinapore and the production and development facilities in Europe and the US. For more than 16 years now, from day one in fact, the ELSTER-AMCO Group has actively helped build up the natural as industry in South Korea throuh its Joint Venture Sejon-AMC, as the leadin station builder in the market. A further expansion of the activities in the Asian markets, includin further production facilities, will take place. The privatization of the major as utilities in Latin America in Brasil and Mexico alon with the substantial investments of several major European and American Gas utility companies has created an environment for sinificant rowth in this reion. ELSTER-AMCO is represented by a production Joint Venture for domestic meters in Arentina and has founded a new company, ELSTER-AMCO de Mexico, in Mexico for the production and marketin of all kinds of products for the fast-rowin Mexican market. This rowth bean when the Mexican constitution was amended in 1995 to allow both private and forein investment. Since that time, under the manaement of Mexico s Enery Manaement Commission ( CRE ), the number of natural as distribution concessions has rown to sixteen. In order to meet the resultin demand for cost effective products and be responsive to delivery needs, the ELSTER-AMCO Group formed ELSTER- AMCO de Mexico S. de R.L. de C.V. in June, The factory is in the City of San Luis Potosí ( fiure 1 ), a strateically located industrial area from which ELSTER-AMCO Group can serve all of Mexico. 6 Elster Profiles 2000 / Vol. 1 Construction of the plant was completed in March Production of the new BK-G1.6 meter ( see separate article on pae 24 ) is beinnin. The meters will be assembled usin semi-automated workstations ( fiure 2 ) to insure consistent quality and testin usin a state-of-the-art sonic nozzle prover ( fiure 3) to insure accuracy. ELSTER-AMCO de Mexico will also manufacture risers ( fiure 4 ) to meet the demand for an assembly that permits the transition from PE pipe below round to steel pipe above round. In the near future, the assembly of the CR4000 residential reulator will be added to the San Luis Potosí plant. Enineerin and operations personnel from America Meter and Kromschroeder closely support the operations in San Luis Potosí. The ELSTER-AMCO de Mexico manaement staff, with an averae industrial and quality experience of 20-years, are hihly qualified professionals hired in Mexico and trained at American Meter and Kromschroeder facilities in the U.S. and Germany. The people at ELSTER-AMCO de Mexico are its most important asset. Mexican history says that the Eale was stamped on the Mexican fla in San Luis Potosí. Este crecimiento comenzó cuando la Constitución Mexicana fue modificada en 1995 para permitir inversión privada y participación extranjera. A partir de este momento y bajo la administración de la Comisión Reuladora de Enería (CRE) el número de concesiones distribuidoras de as natural ha crecido hasta llear a dieciéis. Como una respuesta a la creciente demanda por productos de buena calidad y bajo costo y para satisfacer los requerimientos y necesidades de entrea, el Grupo ELSTER-AMCO, crea la empresa ELSTER-AMCO de México S. de R.L. de C.V. en junio de La fábrica está localizada en San Luis Potosí ( fiura 1 ) en un área industrial estratéicamente situada, desde la cual ELSTER-AMCO de México puede servir a todo el país. La construcción de la planta se terminó en el mes de marzo del año 2000, y la producción del medidor de as BKG1.6 ha comenzado ( ver artículo especial en esta misma presentación ). El medidor está siendo ensamblado utilizando estaciones de trabajo semiautomáticas ( fiura 2 ) para aseurar consistentemente las pruebas y la calidad, para aseurar el rado de precisión se utiliza el probador-calibrador de boquillas sónicas con lo más avanzado en tecnoloía ( fiura 3 ). ELSTER-AMCO de México también fabrica elevadores ( acometidas subterráneas para as natural, fiura 4 ) para satisfacer la demanda de una instalación que permita la transmisión a través de una tubería de polietileno debajo de la tierra hasta hacer conexión con una tubería de acero en la superficie. En un futuro próximo el ensamble de los reuladores de as Series CR-4000 será interado a la operación de la planta de San Luis Potosí. 11 products f As far as billin customers is concerned, the LIS system offers effective solutions for a variety of applications. This ranes from tariff customers to special-contract customers with varyin levels of consumption or to substations between two enery suppliers. The system is also capable of collectin meterin data of different types of media, i.e. as, water, electricity and district heatin. One of the most important aims nowadays is to automate the method of reisterin data to be used for billin. An essential component for this is a reliable readout software packae to collect data from the stations irrespective of whether it is for tariff or special-contract customers and prepare this data for billin purposes. In the LIS system, there is one common readout software packae, WinCOMS, which can be used for all cateories of stations. If necessary, this can be prorammed to read out the data fully automatically at any iven time. The WinLIS evaluation software then processes the transmitted data to make it available for transferrin to the account department or for any technical evaluation. The data collected varies dependin on the type of equipment installed at the point of measurement and helps to provide an insiht into how the meterin system is runnin. This makes it much easier to answer any questions the customer may have or to ive any relevant advice. The products we have for data collectin purposes are suitable for use in a variety of situations. The components belonin to the Euro- TRACE family as well as the DS-100 and DL240 are suitable for recordin consumption data, which is reistered in the form of pulses. It is possible to call up meter readins at the end of the month or a consumption profile at certain prorammable intervals, whichever is required. Devices like these can be used with any media. Volume correctors and flow computers have been developed for applications in the field of as meterin. These devices rane from temperature volume correctors for commercial customers to hih-performance flow computers for stations in the field of as transportation. The choice of the appropriate device in this case depends very much on the function it has to perform. f En lo que se refiere a la facturación de los clientes, el sistema LIS ofrece soluciones eficaces para una ama de aplicaciones. Éstas van desde los clientes sujetos a una tarifa hasta los clientes con contratos especiales que tienen diferentes niveles de consumo o a subestaciones ubicadas entre dos proveedores de enería. Además, el sistema es capaz de medir diferentes tipos de medios, tales como, as, aua, electricidad y calefacción distrital. Uno de las objetivos actuales más importantes es la automatización de los métodos de reistro de datos que se usan para preparar la facturación. Un componente esencial de esta actividad es un paquete confiable de software de lectura para recolectar datos de las estaciones, independientemente de si se trata de clientes sujetos a una tarifa o de clientes con contratos especiales, y la oranización de esta información para efectos de la facturación. El sistema LIS consiste en un paquete de software de lectura común, WinCOMS, el cual puede ser usado para todas las cateorías de estaciones. De ser necesario, éste puede proramarse para leer los datos en forma completamente automática a una hora determinada. Lueo, el software de evaluación WinLIS procesa los datos transmitidos para disponer su transferencia a los departamentos de cuentas o para realizar una evaluación técnica. Los datos recolectados varían dependiendo del tipo de equipo instalado en el punto de medición y sirven para formar una idea sobre cómo está funcionando el sistema de medición. Esto hace mucho más fácil contestar las preuntas que el cliente pueda tener o dar cualquier tipo de suerencia relevante. Los productos que tenemos para efectos de recolección de datos son apropiados para ser usados en diferentes situaciones. Los componentes que pertenecen a la familia EuroTRACE, así como los productos DS-100 y DL240 son apropiados para el reistro de datos de consumo, que son reistrados en el formulario de pulsaciones. Es posible revisar lecturas de medidores al final del mes o preparar un perfil de consumo a ciertos intervalos proramables, dependiendo de lo que se requiera. Se pueden usar dispositivos como éstos en cualquier tipo de medio. Los correctores de volumen y las computadoras de flujo han sido desarrollados para aplicaciones en el campo de medición de as. Estos dispositivos van desde los correctores del volumen de temperatura para clientes comerciales hasta computadoras de flujo de alto rendimiento para estaciones en el campo de transporte de as. La elección del dispositivo apropiado en este caso depende principalmente de la función que debe realizarse. 12 products BK-G1.6 The Family Continues to Expand Thirteen years ao, Elster / Kromschröder introduced the BK4 /G4( now BK-G4 ) as the first new concept meter on the European continent. The BK-G4 incorporated new materials, new earin systems and other advanced features which led to improved performance and also enerated several patents. As this meter was well received by customers, it ave rise to a complete family of meters ranin in size from G1.6 up to G25. In 1990 the BK-G2.5 was introduced into the Italian market and has since become the standard meter in Arentina, France, Spain, Turkey, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and many other markets. The BK-G6 followed in 1992 and, only one year later, the BK-G4T and BK-G6T became the first meters on the European continent to feature approved mechanical temperature correction. At the same time, the Z3 index type was introduced, which for the first time allowed the retro-fit of low frequency ( LF ) pulsers or AMR systems without interferin with the meter s bade. This seemed to be the end of the rowth of this new concept meter family, but in 1999 the release of the BK-G10 and BK-G16 cauht all competitors by surprise ( see Profiles, Vol. 2/1999 ). An even reater surprise was the release of the BK-G25 ( see Profiles, Vol. 3/1999 ). Now, the family of BK-meters has five members plus the youn baby BK-G1.6, the first units of which have been built in the new factory of ELSTER- AMCO de Mexico in San Luis Potosí. With the introduction of the BK-G1.6, the G1.6 class of meters previously known as throwaway meters, with a desin life of eiht to ten years for the first time incorporates the features of hih-quality meterin. 13 elster inside out products La familia siue creciendo Hace trece años, Elster / Kromschröder introdujo el modelo BK4 /G4( actualmente conocido como BK-G4 ) siendo el primer medidor con un concepto nuevo en el continente europeo. El modelo BK-G4 incorporó nuevos materiales, nuevos sistemas de enranaje y otras características avanzadas que produjeron un mejor rendimiento y también eneraron varias patentes. Como este medidor fue muy bien recibido por los clientes, dió orien a una completa familia de medidores de distintos tamaños, desde el modelo G1.6 hasta el modelo G25. En 1990 se introdujo el modelo BK-G2.5 en el mercado italiano y desde entonces se ha convertido en el medidor estándar en Arentina, Francia, España, Turquía, Eslovaquia, la República Checa y muchos otros mercados. El modelo BK-G6 le siuió en 1992 y un año después, los modelos BK-G4T y BK-G6T se convirtieron en los primeros medidores en el continente europeo que contaban con corrección de temperatura mecánica aprobada. Al mismo tiempo, se introdujo el índice de tipo Z3, el cual por primera vez permitió la reconversión de las pulsaciones de baja frecuencia ( LF ) o los sistemas AMR sin interferir con los sellos climáticos. Éste parecía ser el final del crecimiento de esta familia de medidores de nuevo concepto pero, en 1999, el lanzamiento de los modelos BK-G10 y BK-G16 sorprendió a todos los competidores ( véase Profiles, Vol. 2/1999 ). Una sorpresa incluso mayor fue el lanzamiento del modelo BK-G25 ( véase Profiles, Vol. 3/1999 ). En la actualidad, la familia de medidores BK tiene cinco miembros, más el bebé BK-G1.6, cuya primera unidad fue fabricada en la nueva planta de ELSTER-AMCO de México en San Luis Potosí. The stand-alone measurin unit is embedded in the vertically separated aluminium meter case ( patent pendin ). This allows a variety of connection options, easy adaption of the flow from riht-to-left, and interation of a back-flow valve. The K-earin system and the needle-and-scale system are both patented. As these systems have already proven to increase overall accuracy in millions of BK-meters worldwide, no doubt they will do the same for the BK-G1.6. Althouh it appears simple, the problems associated with a rotatin valve are severe. This is why all BK-meters and, of course the BK-G1.6 have small parallel slidin valves. This desin ensures that, even in the presence of dirty as, the diaphrams always have ample power to drive the meter properly, much like a car with a hih-performance enine always havin enouh power to handle steep uphill slopes. More details about this important feature have already been published (see Profiles, Vol. 2/1997 : RPF Three Important Letters ). Not only the internal quality features of the larer BK-meters have been carried into the BK-G1.6. The meter can be supplied either with the Z4 index type ( 5 diits + 3 decimals ) or with the Z5 index type with enlared numerals ( 4 diits + 3 decimals ). Both types offer pulse manets as standard features, so that at any time later LF pulsers ( type IN-Z31 ) or the AMR EuroTRACE System can be retro-fitted without breakin the meter bade. El medidor de turbina GT se ha mejorado para convertirse ahora en el medidor de turbina GTS ( el cual, entre otras características, ha mejorado las uías perfiladoras internas de flujo y ampliado las opciones de sus ranos de capacidades incrementales ). A partir del medidor de turbina GTS, American Meter desarrolló el medidor, único en su énero, AccuTest ( Profiles, Vol. 1/1998 ) que incluye un rotor interno, independiente, el cual sirve como medidor patrón, dentro del mismo cuerpo del rotor de medición, permitiendo la corrección in-situ de la exactitud del rotor medidor, sin tener que retirarlo de la línea ni interrumpir su medición. Los correctores de volumen mecánicos de American Meter eventualmente fueron reemplazados con el modelo AE5000 EFCV ( Profiles, Vol. 1/1995 ) que cuenta con funciones opcionales tales como la determinación de cálculos para dos diferentes corrientes de as, que permiten la applications corrección de volumen simultánea de sus dos correspondientes medidores, como lo muestra la fiura 2. Esta situación presentó oportunidades para ofrecer estaciones de distrito prefabricadas, montadas sobre patines, como la que se muestra en la fiura 3, que es una de las estaciones suministradas por IGA a Gases de Occidente, en Cali. La estación incluye una turbina Elster TRZ para medir as para fines de administración interna de la red; la reducción de la presión en la estación se lora usando válvulas de flujo axial. El crecimiento del sistema de as en Colombia ha conducido al establecimiento de nuevas relamentaciones, que imponen a las empresas distribuidoras de as la necesidad de instalar sistemas para monitorear el consumo de as y pronosticar la demanda para el día siuiente. La compañía Gases del Caribe, de Barranquilla, ha sido reconocida como una empresa pionera en la aplicación de este tipo de sistemas para las empresas distribuidoras de as en Colombia. Mediante el uso de Pantheon, el prorama de computación para la administración de datos de American Meter ( Profiles, Vol. 2/1995 ), actualmente se encuentra recolectando información de 40 estaciones de distrito e industriales usando una radio portátil, para recolectar información en tiempo real desde los correctores de volumen AE5000 y AE6000 tales como presión, temperatura, flujo y volumen correido ( fiura 4 ). 17 Elster Profiles 2000 / Vol. 1

American Meter mechanical volume correctors were eventually replaced with by the AE5000 EFCV ( Profiles, Vol. 1/1995 ) that has such optional capabilities as dual-run calculations allowin the simultaneous volume correction of two meters as shown in fiure 2. The AE5000 was refined into the AE6000 Series ( Profiles, Vol. 3/1997 ). As part of the Masificacion del Gas proram, IGA, another member of the ELSTER-AMCO Group, supplied thirty-six city ate stations and five operational stations for the Centro-Oriente section of the national natural as transmission pipeline ( Profiles, Vol. 1/1998 and Vol. 1/1996 ). These stations included Elster turbine and rotary meters, American Meter Axial Flow Valves, and AE5000 electronic correctors. With completion of the national transmission lines, natural as was brouht for the first time to cities and areas such as Medellin, Manizales, Pereira, Quindio, Cali and Norte del Valle. This opportunity to supply prefabricated, skid-mounted district stations such as the one shown in fiure 3, which is one of a number of such stations supplied to Gases de Occidente in Cali by IGA. The station includes an Elster turbine meter for as measurement for network manaement purposes; pressure reduction in the station is done usin Axial Flow Valves. The expansion of as systems in Colombia has led to new as reulations that require as distribution companies to monitor as consumption and forecast demand for the followin day. Gases del Caribe in Barranquilla is reconized as a pioneer in the implementation of this type of system for as distribution companies in Colombia. Usin Pantheon, data manaement software from American Meter ( Profiles, Vol. 2/1995 ), they are currently collectin information from 40 district and industrial stations usin a hand-held device, to collect real-time information such as pressure, temperature, flow, and corrected volume from AE5000 and AE6000 volume correctors ( fiure 4 ). American Meter diaphram meters and turbine meters and reulators are used widely in Colombia for industrial and commercial applications ( fiure 5). American Meter s recently introduced RPM rotary meter is now findin acceptance in the market. For very small commercial loads the Group has been supplyin G2.5 meters : first the BK-G2.5 from Elkro Gas in Italy and more recently the BK-G2.5 from ABB-ELSTER in Arentina. These meters are often installed with American Meter 1213B2 reulators. The ELSTER-AMCO Group now has a new residential meter, the BK-G1.6, described elsewhere in the Volume of Profiles, which will be introduced to the Colombian market and elsewhere this year. Production is just beinnin in Mexico by ELSTER-AMCO de Mexico, a new member of the Group described in a separate article in this volume of Profiles. 20 applications One of the more excitin station desin concepts introduced by IGA in recent years is ORPHEUS, a buried, pressure reulation module that offers sinificant advantaes for district pressure reulation applications especially in Latin America. The rapid expansion of natural as distribution in Latin America is presentin many challenes to the as distribution companies. One of the more difficult of these challenes is the work that has to be done in the very densely populated cities. In some cases, there are existin networks operatin at low, intermediate, or medium pressure that must be repaired, upraded, or converted to hiher operatin pressures. In other cases, networks have to be installed and or extended where none existed before. A critical part of the work is the rehabilitation, replacement, or addition of district pressure reulation stations. Existin district stations may have been built in areas where the population density was low at one time but is now hih, and there may be no choice but to build new stations in densely populated areas. In both cases, the conventional station solution is a relatively lare assembly of valves, filters, reulators, and related fittins installed either above round or in concrete-lined pits. Fi. 2a: Orpheus semi submered Orpheus semi-submerido The common operatin and customer service concerns with conventional district station desins include : Operatin noise ( above round ) Vandalism ( above round ) Maintenance due to corrosion ( below round ) Land use ( above and below round ) Appearance ( above round ) The ORPHEUS series of pressure reduction modules offers costeffective solutions to these concerns. By placin the pressure reulators inside the filter body, ORPHEUS substantially reduces the size of a station and permits below round installation with low maintenance features. ORPHEUS was first introduced in the Series 10 desin ( fiure 1 ) this consists of a pressure vessel enclosin a reulator cartride with one or two Axial Flow Valves in an active or worker/monitor arranements, and a coalescin filter element. An interal overpressure shutoff device is assembled into the cover of the pressure vessel that also serves as the assembly base for the reulator cartride. Fiure 1 also shows the pilots controllin the AFV s which are assembled on the outlet pressure sense stack. As shown in fiures 2a and 2b, ORPHEUS can be partially or completely buried. Typically, the pressure vessel has better protection aainst corrosion and the control components are made of corrosion resistent material the reulators themselves are in the as stream entirely eliminatin corrosion concerns. 20 Elster Profiles 2000 / Vol. 1

En alunos casos, hay redes preexistentes operando a presiones de distribución baja, intermedia o mediana, que deben ser reparadas, actualizadas o convertidas a presiones de operación más altas. En otros casos, se deben instalar y / o extender redes a luares donde antes no existían. Una parte crítica del trabajo es la rehabilitación, reemplazo o la instalación de estaciones de reulación de presión distritales. 22 applications Fi. 3 : The new series 4 Orpheus La nueva serie 4 Orpheus The Series 10 ORPHEUS has a maximum inlet pressure of 10 bar and an outlet pressure rane of 25 mbar to 7 bar and capacities up to 85,000 md/h. The ORPHEUS line has since been extended to include the Series 20 which also uses a pressure vessel but with a maximum inlet pressure of 19 bar and capacities up to 200,000 md/h. The latest addition to the ORPHEUS line is the Series 4 which is based on the same desin concepts as the Series 10 and 20 but uses a standard filter body instead of a desined pressure vessel body ( fiure 3 ) allowin sinificant cost savins in fabrication. It is ideally suited for low pressure distribution systems and for housin and apartment buildin complexes desined for low pressure distribution. The Series 4 ORPHEUS has a maximum inlet pressure of 4 bar and can be supplied with outlet pressures from 20 mbar to 350 mbar with capacities up to 1,600 md/h. Inlet and Outlet connections can be supplied with either ANSI 150 flane connections or with PE pipe connections. ABB Arentina has a lon history in the manufacturin of as meters. Startin in 1993 ABB acted as distributor for ELSTER-AMCO products. In 1996 both companies decided to take a step forward in their partnership, foundin the joint venture company ABB-Elster S.A. The scope of this Joint Venture was to establish in Arentina a manufacturin plant for meters BK-G1.6 to BK-G4 ( cyclic volume 1.2 liters ) initially addressin the needs of the as market in Arentina, but as a next step also other markets in Latin America. Bein manufacturer for BK type residential meters and distributor for all ELSTER-AMCO products from commercial meters to volume correctors at the same time, ABB-Elster manaed durin its first two years of operation to obtain an important share in the Arentinean and Brazilian markets, while havin also been present in Mexico, Peru, Chile and Uruuay. ABB Arentina posee una lara trayectoria en la manufactura de medidores de as. A partir de 1993, ABB actuó como distribuidor de productos ELSTER-AMCO. En 1996 ambas compañías decidieron dar un paso adelante en su relación, fundando la compañía conjunta ABB-Elster S.A.
