We are grateful for all that you do to support your VOLUNTEER NEEDED Birthright, a non-profit organization that provides friendship and support to women facing unplanned pregnancies, urgently needs volunteers. We are open Monday-Thursday from 10 to 4, and on Friday and Saturday from 10 to 12 noon. Volunteers are needed on nearly every shift. Training can be provided to accommodate your schedule. St. Margaret of Cortona Transitional Housing in Woodbridge needs help with child care and leading activities during its Wednesday night children s program ( to 8:30 p.m.). Play with and care for children while their parents attend life skills training. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, or 16 if accompanied by a parent. All volunteers MUST complete Diocesan Virtus training. Give the gift of English! Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Arlington - Hogar Immigrant Services is currently seeking volunteer ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) teachers and a Volunteer Site Coordinator for the upcoming fall 2013 semester. We offer six levels of instruction and classes are held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00- pm at the St. Thomas Aquinas Regional School. You only need to teach once per week. Training and materials are provided. No previous experience or second language required! We serve about 150 adult students each semester and really need your help.
