9 TRAINING PLICIES 7 Training Policie I. Regitration All regitration for workhop will take place on or after the deignated regitration date determined by Illinoi Action for Children and the Community Partner. Regitration begin at 9 a.m. on regitration day. No training will take place BEFRE the regitration date. A. Regitration Requirement All workhop require regitration that will be accepted on a firt come firt erve bai at the hoting Community Partner office, by walk-in, by telephone, by fax, or by . Pleae contact the hoting partner for acceptable form of regitration. Some workhop require fee payment; regitration i not complete until the hoting partner receive payment. Reminder may be made, but ultimately participant hould keep track of each workhop they regiter for. B. Enrollment Limit The Community Partner reerve the right to limit the number of workhop a participant may regiter for. The Community Partner alo reerve the right to limit the number of attendee due to pace, material availability, or Illinoi Trainer Network requirement. C. Regitration Deadline Regitration date are et for each training quarter; no regitration will be accepted before the deignated date. Workhop may fill quickly; many workhop could reach capacity on the firt day of regitration. In the event your workhop election i filled, pleae ak the hoting Community Partner if there i a waiting lit that you may be added to and contacted if there are cancellation. D. Walk-In Participant Walk-in are not advied, a pace, material, and certificate are not guaranteed. Pleae contact the hoting Community Partner prior to the tart of a workhop to inquire about available pace due to cancellation. II. Training Participation A. Expectation 1. Late Arrival A fifteen (15) minute grace period will be given at all training eion. Thi grace period begin at the advertied tart time. Participant will not be allowed in the training after the 15-minute grace period. 2. Early departure In order to receive a training certificate, participant mut remain until the end of the training. 3. Unreaonable time pent out from the workhop will reult in the lo of a training certificate and may reult in removal from the workhop. If you mut handle an emergency, pleae notify the facilitator or partner taff and dimi yourelf from the workhop. B. Children are not permitted at workhop eion. C. Code of Conduct 1. All cell phone mut be placed on vibrate prior to the tart of the workhop. Participant needing to attend to phone call hould excue themelve from the workhop. 2. All ethnicitie, abilitie, educational level, opinion, and experience will be repected. 3. Peronal experience hared during the workhop will be repected. Any information hared i confidential and hould not be hared outide of the workhop. Note: Confidentiality i alway limited by the obligation to take action if a participant dicloe an act or intention to do harm to one elf or another. 4. Miconduct or diruptive behavior will not be tolerated. Behavior of thi type will reult in removal from the workhop eion. 5. Threat, harament, or abuive treatment of taff, facilitator, preenter, or other participant will NT be tolerated. Miconduct of thi type i conidered a eriou offene and will be ubject to immediate and appropriate diciplinary action. In addition, the matter may be referred to local authoritie for invetigation and/or proecution. III. Cancellation A. Agency Cancellation The hoting partner reerve the right to cancel a workhop if fewer than ten (10) participant are regitered. 1. Workhop cancelled due to low enrollment will be cancelled at leat three (3) day prior to workhop. Participant will be notified of cancellation by phone or in writing. 2. The hoting partner will make every effort to rechedule a cancelled training by the following quarter. 3. There are no refund/voucher or credit for cancelled training unle the hoting partner fail to rechedule the workhop; then a refund will be iued, if that occur. B. Participant cancellation 1. Pleae call the hoting Community Partner at leat 24 hour prior to the training if you are unable to attend. 2. Participant who neglect to cancel for workhop will be given a lower priority for regitration for future workhop. 3. Refund/Voucher/Credit for regitration fee will not be given. 4. Regitration fee are non-refundable and non-tranferable. IV. Certificate A. Ditribution To receive a training certificate, participant mut tay until the trainer ha completed the workhop. 1. In the event certificate are not iued at the concluion of a workhop, certificate will be iued by mail within ten (10) buine day. 2. In the intance of regitration or name error, certificate will be iued by mail within ten (10) buine day. B. Replacement Replacement certificate will not be iued. You may requet a trancript of completed training. V. Training Trancript A. Releae of trancript Trancript may be iued at the requet of an individual participant. Information will only be releaed to the individual. B. There may be a fee charged for trancript requet. VI. No-Show Regitrant A. All participant attendance i tracked in a training databae. Thoe participant who regiter and no-how for three (3) or more workhop during a quarter will be required to regiter a a tand-by participant. Stand-by regitrant will be notified on the day of the workhop a to pace availability. B. Pleae call the hoting Community Partner at leat 24 hour prior to the training if you are unable to attend. Withdrawal from (5) five or more workhop during a quarter will be conidered exceive. Participant who exceively withdraw from workhop will be required to regiter a a tand-by participant. Stand-by regitrant will be notified on the day of the workhop a to pace availability. C. Regitration fee are non-refundable and non-tranferable for thoe who withdraw and thoe who are no-how regitrant.

10 8 CNTINUUM F TRAINING SUMMER 2014 Regitration begin June 28, 2014 Continuum of Training Training i offered on a continuum of knowledge and kill level or tage. The higher the Stage number, the more rigorou the training content and the evaluation of knowledge and kill. Training offered at Stage 1 and 2 provide an introductory look at the topic while training at Stage 3 and 4 are deigned for the individual with experience with the topic. Stage 5 training offer an advanced level of training for the mot experienced practitioner. The training provide concrete, ueful tool and information to be utilized in the child care etting. They hould be conidered the firt tep in obtaining profeional goal or erve a a refreher for the experienced provider. INTERMEDIATE: Intermediate training build upon prior knowledge of a ubject matter. Thee training are deigned for individual who have a baic undertanding of a ubject. They may be offered in an individual or erie format. ADVANCED: Advanced training are in-depth and are deigned to go beyond general information, guideline, and concept. Participant are required to utilize critical thinking kill and interpret pecific apect of a particular ubject matter. Thee training encourage the ue of application, collaboration, and/or reflection kill. Regitration i required; we may not able to accommodate walk-in.
