Confirmation program for teenagers We will begin on Sunday, October 19 in the school meeting room 1:30-3:00 pm. All 11th and 12 graders attending our Religious Education program or who are enrolled in a Catholic High School are eligible for the program. RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation) We have two RCIA programs in English and in Spanish for adults who wish to explore the Catholic faith, or for Adult Catholics who want to prepare themselves for Confirmation. English We had a problem finding an English time that would work for everyone. For a start, we will attempt a program on two nights, Wednesday and Thursday, and you can attend either one. We will begin on Wednesday, October 15th and Thursday, October 16th and will meet in the rectory at 7:00 pm. Spanish, led by Fr. Andy, will begin on Thursday, October 16th at 7:00pm. They will meet in the school building. Cristia- RICA (Rito de Iniciación na) Tenemos dos programas de RICA-en Ingles y Español-para adultos que deseen explorar la fe católica o para adultos católicos que deseen prepararse para la Confirmación. Ingles Tenemos dificultad para encontrar un horario que trabaje para todos. Para empezar, empezaremos con un programa de dos clases por la noche, miércoles y jueves, puede asistir a cualquiera de las dos. Empezaremos el miércoles 15, y jueves 16 de octubre en la rectoría de la iglesia a las 7pm. Español por el P. Andy empezaran el 16 de octubre, a las 7pm en el edificio de la escuela. Church entrance clutter We have a number of candle stands in front of the statues in the church foyer that are unsightly. The area always looks cluttered with empty candles left on the floor, etc.

4 We ordered some new type candle stands to be placed before the statues that will use a different type of devotional candle and hopefully make our front entrance less cluttered and more welcoming. Desorden en la entrada de la Iglesia Hay muchas veladoras en las imagines a la entrada de la iglesia, y a veces la entrada se mira desordenada. Siempre hay vasos de veladoras ya vacíos en el piso regados. Church Windows By the time you read this, we should have two bids for the installation of protective glass for the Church Windows. Water problem and new Church pavement We have a meeting between the Diocese, the Company and ourselves on Monday, Oct 13, to see how best to tackle these projects. Auditorium heating-cooling system We have begun the installation of the new cooling coils for the air conditioners in the auditorium and will install the boiler for the heating once it arrives.

The negotiations with Avance and the Diocese are continuing. I believe the ooutcome will be approval for renting class-room space to them. Avance is anxious to move in as soon as posible. theywill be responsable for any remodeling that has to be done to the rooms to meet Health Department requirements for children cameras in classrooms, etc. Continuan las negociaciones con Avance y de la Diócesis. The plants and flowers were her own, but she handed in all the money made during the sale.
