2 Compact Agreement between student, parent, teacher, and administrators. It s a Shared responsibility. Everyone works together to help a child achieve the state s standards. Your signature signifies your willingness to be a part of your child s educational team.

Chiefland Elementary School s goal is to ensure the achievement and safety of each student As a student, I will: Put forth my best effort in all areas: attitude, behavior, and class work Read on my own or with my family for at least 30 minutes every day outside of school time Give my parent(s)/guardians(s) all notices and information received by me from my school every day Tell my parents what I learned in school each day Let my teacher and family know if I need help each day Write down my assignments, do my homework every day, and turn it in when it is due Check Student Access (Skyward) site weekly (4 th and 5 th graders) Student s Signature: Date:

4 Continue CES Compact As a Parent/Guardian, I will: Monitor attendance (as well as being on time) Let the teacher know if my child has any problems with learning, and participate as appropriate Promote positive use of children s extracurricular time by limiting television, internet, and video game usage Promptly read and respond to all notices and information sent home from the school or the school district, either received by children or by mail Ask my child a specific question about what he/she learned at school each day Make sure my child is prepared for class each day and make sure that homework is completed on time Check Family Access (Skyward) site weekly Serve, to the extent possible, on policy advisory groups (e.g.: serving as the Title I, Part A parent representative on the school s School Improvement Team, the Title I Policy Advisory Committee, the District Wide Policy Advisory Council, the State Committee of Practitioners, the School Support Team or other school advisory or policy groups) Parent s Signature: Date:

5 Continue CES Compact As a Teacher, I will: Uphold high standards and expectations for your child s education and exhibit professional conduct Promptly let the parent know if their child has any problems academically or behaviorally Provide relevant and interesting classroom and homework activities Make sure all students get help as soon as it is needed Explain my approach to teaching, expectations, and grading system to students and their families Continually work on my teaching strategies so that I can successfully teach all children Implement school rules consistently and fairly.
