1 HOSTELS LOCATED IN PARTNER MUNICIPALITIES ASSOCIATED WITH THE COOPERATION NETWORK OF TOWNS ON THE RUTA DE LA PLATA* Types of hostels PILGRIM HOSTELS Although use of the hostel is free of charge, pilgrims may collaborate via voluntary financial contributions to fund the maintenance of the facilities. A pilgrim credential is required. YOUTH HOSTELS Youth hostels are open to everyone with a membership card issued by any Hostel Association belonging to the IYHF. There is not usually any age limit, but absolute priority is given to young people under 26 years of age. Families and groups must hold a special membership card issued exclusively for them. The membership card must be presented when checking in. TOURIST HOSTELS Establishments which provide accommodation to the general public for a set rate per bed in rooms sleeping several people along with the practice of some kind of activity related to the surroundings, all in accordance with the provisions of the pertinent regulations. OTHER KINDS OF HOSTELS SOME HOSTELS ARE CLOSED DURING DECEMBER AND JANUARY, OPENING IN FEBRUARY.
