3 Once you have logged into Atlantis University World Campus, click on the Virtual Library button in the top center of the page to access the Learning Resource System network that supports all your learning objectives. 5 Step 2. Enter your keyword to search the catalog for a book about the keyword you used. Then press enter to start your search. Step 1. Your search results will contain: (a) title of the book, (b) author s name, (c) library call number, and (d) how many copies of the book are available will be listed as well. 7 First, click on the title of the book you are interested in. The book s bib record will list the subject(s) associated with that book under Subject-Topical Term. 8 Click on LIRN button to access the LIRN article database. Here you will have access to thousands of articles about business, computer science, general academic, health and wellness, literature, newsletters, newspapers, opposing viewpoints, reference with student resource center, etc. Haz click en el botón LIRN para acceder en la base de datos de artículos de LIRN. 10 The Gale Infotrac databases will have articles on business, computer science, general academic, health and wellness, and literature. Newsletters, newspapers, and opposing viewpoints can be searched in InfoTrac as well. InfoTrac also has a student resource center and the Gale Virtual Reference Library. 12 This is your PowerSearch. Start your article search using a subject keyword. As you type your keyword, Gale s PowerSearch engine will suggest keywords. 13 On the left side of the webpage, narrow your search by selecting the formats of your information. 14 TIP One of the best ways to narrow your search is by limiting the date range of your information results. In case of articles on technology, depending on the goal of your research, you may want to limit your search results to the last two to four years. For a more historical approach to your research, expand the date range limits to perhaps the last ten years. Just think of how much technology has change in the last ten to four years. On the right, you can: print, , download, bookmark, and cite this article. Remember the words of others must be properly cited. They are not your words. You must credit the author.
