Sentimos la presencia y ternura de Dios, que camino con nosotros y disfruto de las muchas muestras de alegría, fe y fraternidad en una tarde muy especial. Bendiciones a todos. THANK YOU FOR THE CORPUS CHRISTI PROCESSION! Thanks to all the people and ministries who helped and participated with the Corpus Christi Procession on Sunday June 14. We felt the presence and tenderness of God, who walked with us and enjoyed the many demonstration of joy, faith and fraternity in a very special afternoon. Blessings to all.

4 CORPUS CHRISTI, EL PASO 4a IGLESIA VIVA Quién es éste, a Quien hasta el viento y el mar obedecen? Increíble. Fantástico. Milagroso. Que espectáculo para la vista. Si hubiéramos podido estar allí con esos discípulos! La gran ayuda que sería para nuestra fe vacilante el ver a Jesús calmar las olas. Podríamos volver a dudar de que El era el Señor de toda la creación después de un momento así? Bueno... tal vez. Estos notables momentos, tienen una manera de perder su brillo al verlos a lo lejos. En retrospectiva, demasiado frecuente es y dudamos de esos episodios de su claridad espiritual: "Tal vez solo fue una coincidencia. Tal vez la tormenta estaba a punto de terminar de todas maneras. Como podríamos estar seguros? De hecho, parece como si los mismos discípulos ya estaban luchando con olvidar el poder de los signos que habían visto con anterioridad. Es por esto que Jesús los reprende por tener miedo. " Acaso ustedes aun no tienen fe?" Por que Jesús esperaba que ya tuvieran fe? Porque, como nos dice el Evangelio de Marcos, Jesús había sanado innumerables personas, expulsado demonios para que todos vieran y creyeran, y además habían escuchado una voz Divina anunciarlo en su bautismo: "Tu eres mi Hijo muy amado, en Quien Yo tengo mis complacencias" (1:11). Los milagros no fueron tan solo unos pocos. Pero, el problema era creer en los milagros aun después de haber ocurrido. No caigamos presos en el mismo problema, sedientos de mas milagros, olvidamos aquellos que ya experimentamos en nuestras propias vidas, por muy sutiles que hayan sido. No permitamos que nuestra fe dependa de la aparición de la próxima señal de Dios. Unámonos al salmista en mantener una actitud de confianza, cuando agradecemos a Dios "por sus obras maravillosas en los hijos de los hombres". 5 4a June 21, 2015 A LIVELY CHURCH "Who then is this whom even wind and sea obey?" Incredible. Unbelievable. Miraculous. What a sight to behold. If only we had been there with those disciples! What a help it would be to our wavering faith to see Jesus calm the waves. Could we ever doubt again that he was Lord of all creation after a moment like that? Well... maybe. These remarkable moments do have a way of losing their luster from a distance. In retrospect, we too often second-guess such episodes of spiritual clarity: "Perhaps it was just a coincidence. Maybe the storm was about to end anyway. How can we know for sure?" In fact, it appears as though the disciples themselves were already struggling with forgetting the power of the signs they had previously seen. This is why Jesus reprimands them because of their fear, "Do you not yet have faith?" Why does Jesus expect them to have faith already? Because, as Mark's Gospel records for us, Jesus had already cured countless people, cast out demons for all to see, and even had a divine voice announce at his baptism, "You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased," (1:11). The miracles were not in short supply. The problem was believing in the miracles even after they were over. Let's not fall prey to the same problem, thirsting for other miracles than the ones we have already experienced in our own lives, subtle though they may have been. Let's not make our faith dependent upon the appearance of the next sign from God. No. Let us join the psalmist in maintaining an attitude of belief, as we thank the Lord for "his wondrous deeds to the children of men."
