CROW-EDWARD DUDLEY OBJECTIVES: THIS CLASS WILL PRESENT AN OVERVIEW OF THE MOST FREQUENTLY USED GRAMMATICAL STRUCTURES IN BOTH ENGLISH AND SPANISH. THE CLASS WILL PROVIDE THE STUDENTS THE OPPORTUNITY TO COMPARE AND CONTRAST BOTH LANGUAGES. STUDENTS WILL ALSO LEARN VOCABULARY FROM THE STORIES THAT WILL BE DISCUSSED IN CLASS. STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO USE THE VOCABULARY FROM THE STORIES TO WRITE SHORT PARAGRAPHS IN CLASS. STUDENTS WILL ALSO READ, TRANSLATE AND ANALYZE THE SHORT STORIES. IN ADDITION STUDENTS WILL WRITE A TERM PAPER IN SPANISH BASE ON ONE OF THE AUTHORS STORIES DISCUSSED IN CLASS. PROJECTS FOR THE CLASS: WRITE A TERM PAPER (5 PAGES LONG MINIMUM), FOUR BIOGRAFIES, ANALYZES OF FOUR STORIES AND ONE TRANSLATION FROM ONE OF THE STORIES TO BE PRESENTED IN FRONT OF THE CLASS.
