3 Pastor Notes Notas del Pastor 3 Crucify Him, Crucify Him Mk. During the proclamation of the Passion, we all cry out Crucify Him for indeed we are the ones who crucify Jesus through our own sinfulness, the lies that we live. Jesus is the Truth the Light, the full revelation of the Father s love, and we cannot accept Him. Had Jesus lied and rejected the Truth, he would never have been condemned. As it was he was condemned for being fully human and the reflection of the image of God. It was far easier to condemn Jesus for healing the lame, blind, and deaf through the power of Satan, than to accept the God so loved the world that he sent His only Son to save us! Ever since Adam, we blame God for all that is wrong in the world, we even say that God can condemn us to Hell, yet it is we who judge God and condemn ourselves in the process! All humanity is with Pilot, seated on the judgment seat. We are deaf and blind to the Truth before us, and condemn the source of all life and Truth. In our delusions of being like gods, we make ourselves the judges of God. The violence in the world around us is the symptom this delusion. Violence is perceived as power, and the greater the violence the greater the delusion, the lie that is lived. The street gangs in L.A. the drug dealers in Mexico, Las Mares in El Salvador the terrorists in the Middle East, are all reacting to the delusion of power. Their first weapon is fear, which they wield through torture and death. They bring into focus the reality of sin in the world, yet they are also a reflection of ourselves. We need to accept that only through the love of God, trough Jesus, we could have committed equally violent acts. WE are with Pilate judging God, hiding from his healing presence, still deaf and blind. We still need His healing presence, we need to hear the Lord cry out Father, forgive them, they know not what they do. From the violence of the cross, comes the saving forgiveness, which is true power. Accepting the forgiveness of the Lord, we change from the delusion of power to living in the power of God. " Crucifícale, crucifícale..." Mc. Durante la proclamación de la Pasión, todos gritamos " Crucifícalo" porque de hecho nosotros somos los que crucificamos a Jesús a través de nuestros pecados, las mentiras que vivimos. Jesús es la Verdad de la Luz, la plena revelación del amor del Padre, y no podemos aceptar. Si Jesús hubiera mentido y rechazó la Verdad, él nunca habría sido condenado. Como fue condenado por ser plenamente humano y el reflejo de la imagen de Dios. Era mucho más fácil condenar a Jesús para sanar a los cojos, ciegos y sordos a través del poder de Satanás, que aceptar la manera amó Dios al mundo que envió a su único Hijo para salvarnos! Desde que Adán, culpamos a Dios por todo lo que está mal en el mundo, incluso decimos que Dios nos puede condenar al "Infierno", pero somos nosotros los que juzgamos a Dios y nos condenamos a nosotros mismos en el proceso. Toda la humanidad está con Pilato, sentado en el tribunal. Somos sordos y ciegos a la verdad por delante, y condenamos la fuente de toda la vida y la verdad. En nuestros delirios de ser como dioses, nos hacemos los jueces de Dios. La violencia en el mundo que nos rodea es el síntoma de este engaño. La violencia es percibida como el poder, y cuanto mayor es la violencia mayor es el engaño, la mentira que se vive. Las pandillas callejeras en Los Ángeles a los narcotraficantes en México, "Las Mares" en El Salvador a los terroristas en el Oriente Medio, están reaccionando a la ilusión de poder. Su primera arma es el miedo, que ellos manejan a través de la tortura y la muerte. "Ellos" a colocar en perspectiva la realidad del pecado en el mundo, sin embargo, son también un reflejo de nosotros mismos. Tenemos que aceptar que sólo a través del amor de Dios, a través de Jesús, podríamos haber cometido actos violentos por igual. Estamos con Pilato juzgando a Dios, escondiéndonos de su presencia sanadora, siendo sordo y ciego. Todavía necesitamos su presencia sanadora, tenemos que escuchar al Señor gritar: "Padre, perdónalos, porque no saben lo que hacen. De la violencia de la cruz, viene el perdón de ahorro, que es el verdadero poder. Al aceptar el perdón del Señor, nos cambiamos de la ilusión de poder para vivir en el poder de Dios.

5 Fr. José G. Mejia The Archdiocese of Los Angeles received an allegation that Father Jose G. Mejia was involved in inappropriate conduct with a minor in the mid 1980 s, while he was a Seminarian in another diocese. He transferred to St. John s Seminary and became a priest for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles in Father Mejia served in this parish. He has been placed on administrative leave effective Friday, March 13, 2015, pending the outcome of the investigation of the allegation. Liturgy of the Word We have begun the Liturgy of the Word with Children on Sundays at the 2:15pm Mass. The First Communion candidates, between six and ten, will be invited to process to the St. Joseph Hall after the opening prayer for reflections on the Gospel and will be reunited with their families during the Offertory. Consejos para proteger a sus hijos de texteo sexual Before buying your child a cell phone, set rules for its use, including what sort of information and images are appropriate to share via text. Know what safeguards are available on your child s phone, such as turning off and/or blocking texting and picture features. Talk to your child about the possible social, academic, and legal consequences of sexting. They could face humiliation, lose educational opportunities, and get in trouble with the law. Encourage your child to not be a bystander or an instigator. If he or she receives a sext, discuss why it is important that he or she not forward the image to anyone else. Remind your child that they can talk to you if they receive a nude picture on their cell phone.
