En ingles cuando queremos preguntar acerca de la cantidad de un sustantivo incontable, usamos la estructura: How much + sustantivo + is there? Ejemplo: How much milk is there? = cuanta leche hay? En las respuestas se puede usar un partitivo no especifico como; a lot ( un montón ), a little ( un poco ), none ( nada ), some ( algo ). Ejemplo: How much milk is there? = There is a little. Cuanta leche hay? hay un poco O por el contrario podemos usar partitivos especificos de unidad o medida o peso para especificar las cantidades; Ejemplo: How much milk is there? = There is a litre, there is a bottle, etc.. Cuanta leche hay? Hay un litro, una botella, etc.. Si queremos preguntar acerca de la cantidad de un sustantivo contable, usamos la estructura: How many + sustantivo + are there? Ejemplo: How many oranges are there? = Cuantas naranjas hay? En las respuestas se usa: a lot (un monton), a few (unas pocas), too many, (demasiadas), o none ( ninguna), some ( algunas), si queremos especificar cantidades entonces usamos partitivos contables del tipo; un kilo, un litro, un paquete, una bolsa, one, two, etc. HOW MUCH / HOW MANY Practicing Exercises 1. lemonade have we got? We ve got only one bottle. 2. bottles are there? Three. 3. meat is there? We have got two steaks. 4. bananas have we got? We haven t got any. 5. sugar have we got? Enough. 6. bread have we got? Some. 7. pens are in your bag? Six. 8. money have we got? We haven t got a lot. 9. bikes are there in the garden? Two. 10. children have they got? Two girls and a boy.

ACTIVITY TWO Look at the picture and make a description around countable and uncountable nouns. ACCESO A LA INFORMACION ACTIVITY THREE Write in your notebook the following exercise and develop it. Circle if the noun is countable or non-countable: 1. man 2. rice 3. time 4. information
5. weather 6. class 7. furniture 8. soap 9. idea 10. light 11. sheep 12. data ACTIVITY FOUR Using the box, draw again and classify the elements down in countable and uncountable nouns. COUNTABLE NOUNS UNCOUNTABLE NOUNS
Nueva Información: UNCOUNTABLE NOUNS MADE COUNTABLE Los sustantivos incontables (como sugar) no pueden usarse con los artículos "a, an". Para convertirlos en una unidad contable es necesario utilizar otra palabra adicional, por ejemplo a lump of sugar (un terrón de azúcar). ACTIVITY FIVE Search through English books or page some uncount nouns made countable list. Integración: Taking the information about countable and uncountable nouns make some sentences using the topic of the guide. ACCESO A APLICACIÓN LA INFORMACION Recordación: REMEMBER How to use the articles - a, an, the? When you are talking about only one person, animal, place, or thing, you can put aor an before the noun. a dentist a child a spider a lady a park an apple an egg an ice cream an owl an umbrella We put an before words beginning with vowels (a, e, i, o, u). But some words do not follow this rule. For example, some words that begins with the letter u, use a(not an). This occurs when the vowel u sounds like you.
