2 INTROIT ANTIPHON - HOLY FAMILY - ENTRANCE ANTIPHON WELCOME The parishioners of St. Andrew Catholic Church are happy to extend a warm welcome to the many visitors who join us for worship today. St. Andrew Parish, a Roman Catholic community, seeks to nurture the faith and serve the needs of parishioners and visitors by proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ through active stewardship, ministries of word and sacrament, programs of Christian formation, and works of charity and justice. GUIDELINES FOR THE RECEPTION OF HOLY COMMUNION As Catholics, we fully participate in the celebration of the Mass when we receive Holy Communion, the true Body and Blood of the Lord. Yet, we Catholics should receive Holy Communion only when we are living in communion with the Catholic Church and in the state of sanctifying grace and have made the appropriate fast from food and drink. Because of the connection we draw between being in full communion with the Catholic Church and receiving Holy Communion, we cannot invite those who are not Catholic to share in Holy Communion with us. Still, we welcome all to this celebration of the Mass as our brothers and sisters, and pray that our common baptism and the action of the Holy Spirit will one day draw us closer that all may be one. Automatic withdrawal payments are debited from checking or savings account. Credit card recurring payments according to payment schedule. (Rack up those reward points!) GRAND STRAND CITIZENS FOR LIFE ANNUAL PRAYER VIGIL JANUARY 24, 2014 GRAND STRAND CITIZENS FOR LIFE ANNUAL PRAYER VIGIL FOR LIFE ON FRIDAY, JANUARY 24TH, 2014 This year's Prayer Vigil will be held at The Christian Church on 2012 Burcale Road at 7:15 PM on Friday, January 24th. This inter-denominational event is sponsored by Grand Strand Citizens for Life and will have Pastors from seven Churches on the Grand Strand leading prayers for greater Respect for Life from conception to natural death. All are invited to attend. Refreshments will be served immediately after the service. There is no charge for this event that marks the anniversary of Roe v. One of the greatest achievements of Pope John Paul II was the promulgation of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. This Catechism will serve as the standard for all future catechisms. A sure norm for teaching the Faith, as the Pope said. Please take and study this Catechism in your own home. This Catechism costs $5.00 each. Inside the front cover of each book you will find an ENVELOPE as follows: Dear Sister or Brother in Christ: This Catechism of the Catholic Church is a most handy summary of the Faith that we profess as Christians. We hope you will take it to your home and read it. Por eso, hoy le rendimos homenaje de una manera especial a San José, a María ssn sima y al Niño Dios en el Pesebre de Belén. Y le pedimos a la Sagrada Familia que bendigas a todas las familias de nuestra comunidad parroquial, que se mantengan unidas siempre en la fe, esperanza y caridad. Especialmente oremos por aquellas familias o aquellos matrimonios que se encuentran en crisis, dificultades y problemas, para que encuentren en la Sagrada Familia, una luz de esperanza y así, puedan vencer cada uno de los obstáculos que se presenten a lo largo de su vida familiar y matrimonial. Los invito a reflexionar la siguiente carta que una pareja de esposos se escribieron en momentos de crisis y dificultades: "Qué nos ha pasado, por qué hay tanta distancia entre nosotros aunque vivimos y dormimos juntos?... Ya no me amas?... En qué te he fallado?...dime mi amor. Hemos pasado por grandes pruebas, pero recuerda que yo te amo cada día más. Solo Dios sabe que no quiero perderte. A veces te siento cerca y a veces te siento tan lejos. Trato de encontrarme en tu mirada, pero me pierdo en el laberinto de los miedos. Me da miedo pensar, que tú te quieras separar de mí, porque si de algo tengo convicción, es de que nuestras vidas fueron unidas por Dios en el sacramento de matrimonio. Recuérdalo por favor. Y tú juraste que me amabas. Recuerda que tenemos unos hijos, ellos no quieren que los dos nos separemos. Yo no creo que separarnos sea la solución. Sé, que como persona puedo tener mis defectos y limitaciones, que tengo mis días buenos y mis días malos, pero el día que hice el compromiso con go de amarte para toda la vida, lo hice muy en serio, y quiero cumplirlo porque te amo. Si necesitas tomar empo o aire... tómalo, pero no tomes decisiones apresuradasy a la ligera, que pueden cambiar el rumbo de nuestras vidas radicalmente. No sueltes mi mano por favor. Quiero caminar con go siempre a tu lado. Yo te pertenezco, tú me escogiste, tú me perteneces, yo te escogí. Somos un complemento. Somos un solo ser. Si permanecemos unidos, podemos alejar cualquier tormenta que nos quiera destruír. Te amo con todo el corazón. Tú eres todo para mí. Si tenemos a Dios como el centro de nuestra unión, todo marchará bien. Cuéntame qué te pasa, enes a otra persona?. Recuerda que el amor no es pasión sexual. El amor es mucho más que eso. Quiero escucharte cuando decidas hablar conmigo. Me faltan palabras, para expresar todo lo que estoy sin endo. Pero...solo recuerda todos los momentos bonitos que hemos pasado juntos como esposos, especialmente aquellos momentos que nos han ayudado a ser más fuertes como pareja. Si en algún momento te ofendí y te las mé, sin darme cuenta, te pido perdón...perdóname por favor...no me dejes amor...recuerdad que te amo y te amaré siempre".
