In regards to Father Charles taking up his second assignment as Parochial Vicar to St. Patrick's Church, Norcross and given the fact that Fr. Charles will NOT be replaced at St. Benedict, it is thus necessary to make the following changes: 1. Beginning Saturday, August 3, 2013: there will be ONLY ONE Saturday Vigil Mass at 5:00pm. So, the 4:00pm and 5:30pm masses will be replaced with ONE Vigil Mass at 5:00pm. Existing mass intentions will be honored and fulfilled. The 4:00pm Mass Intention will be moved to the new 5:00pm mass time and the 5:30pm Mass Intention will be moved to the following Wednesday at 7:00pm. Domingo Ciclo C Primera Lectura:: Génesis 18:1-10 Segunda Lectura: Colosenses 1:24-28 Evangelio: Lucas 10:38-42 Después de un largo viaje, Jesús y sus discípulos llegan a la casa de unos grandes amigos: los hermanos Marta, Maria y Lázaro, quienes gustosos los reciben. Como son tantos, Marta que es muy trabajadora, se afana en atenderles como se merecen. Maria, en cambio, se dedica a escuchar las enseñanzas de Jesús. Marta reclama que no le ayude su hermana, y Jesús le responde con palabras amorosas y profundas: muchas cosas te preocupan ( ) pero solo una es necesaria. Para Jesús, Maria escogió la mejor parte: escucharle. Con estas palabras, Jesús no quiso decir que el trabajo de Marta fuera malo, sino que el trabajo de Maria era mejor. No es malo que nos ocupemos de nuestros quehaceres y diversiones, lo malo es que nos dediquemos tantos a ellos, que nos olvidemos de lo mas importante: dedicarle tiempo a platicar con Cristo y llenarnos de su palabra, es decir, que nos olvidemos de orar. Cuando en medio de nuestros quehaceres, también le dedicamos tiempo a la oración, todo lo que hacemos toma mas sentido porque lo hacemos con amor, para servir a quienes nos rodean y de esta manera glorificar a Dios. Por supuesto que trabajar no es malo, pero es mucho mejor cuando el trabajo es una oración a través de la cual conversamos con Cristo y le decimos cuanto lo amamos, hacemos las cosas muy bien y las hacemos para hacer felices a los que nos rodean. Pero para lograr esto, hemos de dedicarle tiempo todos los días, a hacer oración con respeto, concentración y humildad. Le dedico todos los dias el mejor de mi tiempo y mi mayor disposicion a platicar con Cristo? Celebrar tu matrimonio o bautizar a tu hijo? El primer paso es registrarte en la parroquia.
