1 OPTIMIZACION ENERGÉTICA DE UN POLIDEPORTIVO Autor: Cámara Herranz, César. Director de Proyecto: González Hierro, Francisco Entidad colaboradora: ICAI-Universidad Pontificia Comillas RESUMEN DEL PROYECTO Tomando como punto de partida las facturas energéticas del año 2004 de un polideportivo se realiza una optimización (energética) considerando distintas posibilidades: precio de compra y consumo de energía. En primer lugar se realiza una revisión de la factura de electricidad buscando el mayor ahorro económico posible. Para ello se estudia y evalúa la potencia a contratar adecuada a las condiciones del polideportivo e igualmente se analizan las distintas posibilidades de facturación que ofrece el RD 1164/2001 (en anexos). Estas posibilidades son: consumidor y productor- consumidor. Se elige la segunda posibilidad pues supone un ahorro anual con respecto a la primera de 6157,80. En segundo lugar se realiza una revisión de la factura de gas buscando el mayor ahorro económico posible. Para ello se estudia y evalúa el caudal diario a contratar (Qd) así como las distintas posibilidades del RD 949/2001 (en anexos) que permitan la consecución de un ahorro anual considerable. En función de los análisis anteriores se llega a la elección para 2005 de un

2 Qd=19000kwh pues con él se consigue un ahorro de 1610,33 con respecto al Qd= kwh inicial contratado en el año Igualmente se tiene en cuenta la liberalización del mercado energético a la hora de llevar a cabo la optimización de la compra de gas negociando con la comercializadora que mayor descuento y calidad de servicio aporte al polideportivo. El mayor descuento que estas ofrecen es del 15%. Aprovechando ese descuento se consigue un ahorro anual de 17288,62 si se considera la contratación de Qd=19000kwh. Posteriormente se considera una estimación de la subida del precio del gas en un 3,5% para el próximo año (2006) y se lleva a cabo un estudio económico evaluando distintas posibilidades y eligiendo aquella con la que el polideportivo consiga un mayor ahorro económico. Resulta que con Qd=19000 kwh el polideportivo tendrá un incremento de factura de 2873,01 mientras que si el polideportivo sigue contratando Qd=22363 kwh estaría por un lado contratando un exceso de caudal máximo diario y por otro lado obtendría un incremento en la factura de 4539,70. Así pues, con el primer caudal diario el polideportivo estará mejor preparado para hacer frente a la subida del gas. La diferencia es de 1666,69. En total el ahorro económico conseguido para 2005 mediante la revisión de las facturas energéticas y mediante la elección de la apropiada comercializadora asciende a 25056,75. Finalmente se emplea el ahorro económico anual conseguido en 2005 para realizar una compra de equipos / sistemas de bajos consumos, alto rendimiento y una adecuada relación calidad precio de manera que se consigue una optimización energética del polideportivo pues el empleo de estos equipos en

3 2006 supondrá reducir el consumo de energía al mismo tiempo que supondrá la consecución de nuevos ahorros económicos en las facturas energéticas de En la iluminación y la climatización es donde se dan los mayores consumos por lo tanto es donde mayor hincapié se hace. El ahorro energético mayor tendrá lugar en la iluminación de manera que se pasará de consumir 5400kwh/año con las bombillas originales de 60w de potencia consumida a consumir 846kwh/año empleando bombillas de bajo consumo (fluorescentes compactas) lo cual supondrá un ahorro energético de 4554kwh/año (alrededor del 80%) y un ahorro económico superior a 300 en el año En el caso de la climatización se consiguen ahorros energéticos importantes aunque menores que los conseguidos en la iluminación por medio de el uso de sistemas autónomos para el control de la temperatura en cada zona o habitación, empleo de free-cooling y el empleo de las bombas de calor más eficientes (ahorro del 50%) del mercado entre otros. El gasto en el que se incurre por la compra de la totalidad de equipos/sistemas/bombillas de bajo consumo es de 41340,36. El 60% del gasto está cubierto por los ahorros conseguidos (25056,75 ). Y el otro 40% se cubrirá gracias a los ahorros que se lograrán en el año 2006 gracias al empleo de los equipos/sistemas/bombillas de bajo consumo y a la programación de horarios (ahorro de 29430,48 ). No obstante, una vez cubiertos los gastos anteriores se seguirán consiguiendo ahorros importantes que se podrán emplear para realizar nuevas mejoras renovando otros equipos con el fin último de seguir proporcionando a los clientes el mejor servicio posible.

Director of Project: González Hierro, Francisco Collaborating Organization: ICAI-Universidad Pontificia Comillas SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT Taking as departure point the power invoices of year 2004 of a multisport center is made an optimization (power) considering different possibilities: price of purchase and consumption of energy. In the first place a revision of the electricity invoice is made looking for the greater possible economic saving. For it one studies and it evaluates the power to contract suitable the conditions of the multisport center and also the different possibilities from invoicing are analyzed that offers RD 1164/2001 (in annexed). These possibilities are: consumer and consuming producer. The second possibility is chosen because it supposes an annual saving with respect to first of 6157,80. Secondly a revision of the gas invoice is made looking for the greater possible economic saving. For it one studies and it evaluates the daily volume to contract (Qd) as well as the different possibilities from the RD 949/2001 (in annexed) that allows the attainment of considerable an annual saving. Based on the analyses previous it is arrived to the election for 2005 of a Qd=19000kwh then with him is obtained to a saving of 1610,33 with respect to the initial Qd = kwh. Also the liberalization of the power market at the time of carrying out the

5 optimization of the gas purchase considers negotiating with the commercial that give the greatest discount and quality on watch contribution to the multisport center. The greatest discount that these offers is of 15%. Taking advantage of that discount an annual saving of is obtained if the hiring of Qd=19000kwh is considered. Later an estimation of the ascent of the price of the gas in a 3.5% for the next year is considered (2006) and is carried out an economic study evaluating different possibilities and choosing that with which the multisport center obtains a greater economic saving. It is that with Qd=19000 kwh the multisport center will have an increase of invoice of 2873,01 whereas if the multisport center continues contracting to Qd=22363 kwh would be in favor of a side contracting an excess of daily maximum volume and on the other hand it would obtain an increase in the invoice of 4539,70. Therefore, with the first daily volume the multisport center better will be prepared to face the ascent of the gas. The difference is of 1666,69. Altogether the obtained economic saving for 2005 by means of the revision of the power invoices and by means of the election of the appropriate commercial ascends to 25056,75. Finally the annual economic saving been able in 2005 is used to make a purchase of equipment/systems of low consumptions, high performance and a suitable relation quality - price so that a power optimization of the multisport center is obtained because the use of these equipment in 2006 will suppose at the same time to reduce the energy consumption that will suppose the attainment of new economic savings in the power invoices of In the illumination and the air conditioning it is where the greater consumptions occur therefore it is where greater emphasis becomes. The greatest power saving will take place in the illumination so that it will go to consume

6 5400kwh/year with the original light bulbs of 60w of consumed power to consume 846kwh/year using light bulbs of low consumption (fluorescent compact) which will suppose a power saving of 4554kwh/year (around 80%) and an economic saving superior to 300 in In the case of the air conditioning power savings important although smaller than obtained in the illumination by means of the use of independent systems for the control of the temperature in each zone are obtained or room, use of free-cooling and the use of heat the more efficient pumps (saving of 50%) of the market among others. The cost which it is incurred across the purchase of the totality of equipment / systems / light bulbs of low consumption is of 41340,36. 60% of the cost are covered by the obtained savings (25056,75 ). And other 40% will cover thanks to the savings that will be obtained in the year 2006 thanks to the use of equipment / systems / light bulbs of low consumption and to the programming of schedules. However, once covered the previous expenses they will be continued obtaining important savings that other equipment with the last aim will be able to be used to make new improvements renewing to continue providing the clients the best possible service.
