5 WINDING MECHANISM The Ceramic is fitted with Hour, Minute, Sweeping Second & Date. Its screw-crown has 3 operating positions: 1 Normal Position (All the way, screwed in): This is the screwed down and secure position that The Ceramic should be in at all times it is being worn. 2 MANUAL WINDING POSITION (Unscrewed to the 2nd position): This is the unscrewed position where you can wind your movement to power it up. Wind completely and the Ceramic can keep accurate time for up to 38 hrs. 8 3 DATE SET POSITION (Pulled out to the 3rd position): 9 This is the position where you can set the date. Turn the crown away from you for date. 4 TIME SET POSITION (Pulled out further to the 4th position): This is the position that stops the second hand and where you can set the time down to the nearest minute.

6 WATER RESISTANCY Nixon guarantees the water-resistance of this watch to a rating of 200 Meters. Before contacting any water it is critical that your crown is screwed in completely to ensure complete protection. Please know that the water resistancy is attained using a series of seals which will deteriorate under normal conditions and reduce the water resistancy of your watch. These seals should be checked by Nixon or a certified watch repair shop at least once every two years to ensure the rated water resistancy. Avoid wearing your watch in Saunas or Hot Tubs

8 CARE AND MAINTENANCE If you need any service to your watch we strongly recommend that you send it back to Nixon or find an authorized jeweler that can help you with your maintenance. The individual Serial number that is on the back of your watch is your proof of authenticity. Keep this number in a safe place and track all maintenance in the back of this book. We recommend that you get the movement of your watch checked by a certified watch repair shop every 5 years to ensure it is working properly and keeping time. Seal Service We recommend that you get the seals of your watch checked by a certified watch repair shop every 2 years to ensure it s water resistance is maintained Temperature Do not expose your watch to extreme temperature. (over 60-C/140-F under -10 C or 14 F) Anti Shock Although the Ceramic has an incabloc anti-shock system in the movement it is best to avoid large shocks. Cleaning Rinse watch with soap and water after exposure to salt water or sand and dry with a soft cloth.

9 NIXON LIMITED WARRANTY This elite class watch is covered by a lifetime limited warranty on defects in materials and workmanship. If our technical services determine that the defective part or problem is a result of manufacturing, your watch will be repaired free of charge. After the first two years from the date of purchase, the labor cost of any repair or replacement will be charged to you whether or not the part is covered by the warranty. To benefit from this limited warranty, you must present the certificate at the back of this book signed and dated by the store where you purchased the watch and proof that all maintenance has been kept up. This can be tracked in the back of this book as well and you need to receive a stamp, date, and signature of all technicians that service your watch. No implied warranties, including the warranties of merchantability and fitness shall apply to this product for any period beyond the terms of this written warranty. Nixon is not liable, under any circumstances for any incidental damages sustained in connection with this product. Any recovery may not be greater than the purchase price paid for this product. 14 Reglajes de la correa Cuidado Y Mantenimiento Su reloj se compone de un sistema modular de eslabones. 19 Aufziehmechanismus Wasserabbildung Die Ceramic ist ausgeruestet mit einer analogen Stunden/Minuten/Sekundenanzeige und einer Datumsanzeige. Die Schraubkrone der Ceramic hat 3 Verstell-Positionen: POSITION 1 NORMALSTELLUNG (vollständig, eingeschraubt): diese ist die sichere Position, in der die Ceramic immer sein sollte, wenn sie getragen wird. Nixon garrantiert auf diese Uhr eine Wasserdichtheit bis 200 Meter. Vor jedem Kontakt mit Wasser muss die Krone völlig eingeschraubt werden um die Wasserdichte der Uhr zu garantieren. Bitte beachte das die Wasserdichtheit durch eine Reihe von Dichtungsringen bedingt ist, die unter normalen Bedingungen abnutzen poroes werden und damit die Wasserdichtheit reduzieren. Um die Funktion der Dichtungsringe sicherzustellen, sollten diese von Nixon oder einem eingetragenem Uhrmacher spaetestens alle 2 Jahre kontrolliert werden. POSITION 2 ist die MANUELLE AUFZIEHUNG (abgeschraubt und in der ersten Position): dieses die abgeschraubte Position, in der Du deine Ceramic selbst aufziehen kannst. Ein vollstaendiges Aufziehen betreibt die Ceramic Trage die Uhr nicht in der Sauna oder Dampfbaedern. ca. 38 Stunden lang POSITION 3 DATUMEINSTELLUNG (Tages-/Datumposition): ziehe die krone heraus in die position 3 drehe die krone zu dir weg von dir fur datumseinstellung. POSITION 4 ZEITEINSTELLUNG (Krone ganz heraus): Ziehe die Krone ganz heraus, um die Zeit einzustellen.

20 Bandeinstellung Pflege & Wartung Deine Uhr ist mit einem Modular-Verbindungs-System. Um das korrekte Einbauen zu gewaehrleisten suche bitte einen eingetragenen Uhrmacher auf um die Anzahl der Verbindungs-Module zu veraendern. Wenn Du einen Service fuer Deine Uhr brauchst empfehlen wir sehr dies von Nixon oder von einem eingetragenen Juwelier durchfuehren zu lassen. Die individuelle Seriennummer auf der Gehaeuserueckseite ist der Beweis der Echtheit. Bitte bewahre das Servicebuch und die Seriennummer an einem sicheren Platz auf und trage alle Servicevorgaenge ein. Uhrwerk Service Fuer die einwandfreie Funktion des Uhrwerks empfehlen wir das Uhrwerk Deiner Uhr alle 5 Jahre von einem eingetragenen Uhrmacher ueberpruefen zu lassen Service der Dichtungen Damit die Wasserdichtheit gewaehrleistet bleibt empfehlen wir die Dichtungen Deiner Uhr alle 2 Jahre von einem eingetragenen 38 Uhrmacher ueberpruefen zu lassen. 39 Temperatur Setze Deine Uhr keinen extremen Temperatuen aus (ueber 60 C/140 F oder unter 10 c/14 F) Anti Erschuetterung Obwohl die Ceramic ein Anti Erschutterungssystem hat, ist es am Besten grosse Erschuetterungen zu vermeiden. Saeubern Spuele die Uhr nachdem sie Salzwasser oder Sand ausgesetzt war mit Seife und Wasser ab und trockne sie mit einem weichen Tuch.

21 NIXON BEGRENZTE GARANTIE Die Automatic hat eine begrenzte Garantie aufdefekte in den Materialien und in derkunstfertigkeit. Wenn unsere technischenmitarbeiter feststellen, daß das defekte Teil oderdas Problem ein Resultat der Herstellung ist,wird Deine Automatic kostenlos repariert. Nachdem Zeitraum von 2 Jahren nach dem Erwerb,werden die Arbeitskosten jeder möglicherreparatur oder der Wiedereinbau vonersatzteilen zu Deinen Kosten gehen, auch wenndas Ersatzteil der Garantie unterlag. Um vondieser begrenzten Garantie zu profitieren, musstdu die Bescheinigung auf der Rückseite desbegleitbuches ueber den Kauf und die WartungDeiner Uhr vorweisen. Die Rueckseite desbegleitbuches ist dafuer da, alle Wartungendurch einen Stempel, eine Unterschrift und eindatum des jeweiligen Shops zu dokumentieren. 25 Le Mécanisme de Remontage l étanchéité L Ceramic dispose des heures / minutes / trotteuse continue / date. La couronne de l Ceramic se visse sur 3 positions. 1 POSITION NORMALE (Revissée au maximum): C est dans cette position, complètement revissée et en sécurité, que l Automatique doit se trouver dès lors qu on la porte. Nixon garantit l étanchéité de votre montre jusqu a 200 mètres. Avant un quelconque contact avec l eau, il est très important de s assurer que la couronne est parfaitement bien revissée pour assurer une complète intanchéité. Veuillez noter que l étanchéité est obtenue par une série de joints qui se détérioreront dans des conditions normale, réduisant peu à peu le niveau d étanchéité de votre montre. Ces joints doivent être vérifiés par Nixon ou un horloger certifié, au moins une fois tous les deux (2) ans, afin de maintenir le niveau d étanchéité initial. 2 POSITION REMONTAGE MANUEL (Dévissée jusqu en première position): C est la position dévissée dans laquelle vous pouvez faire tourner la couronne pour 48 remonter votre mouvement. Remontez-le complètement et l Ceramic sera exacte pendant 38 heures. Evitez de porter votre zillamatic dans un bain chaud ou au sauna POSITION REGLAGE DE LA DATE (Sortie jusqu en position date): tirez la couronne en position 3 tournez dans le sense des aiguilles d une montre pour ajuster la date. 4 POSITION RELAGE DE L HEURE (Sortie en position de réglage de l heure): Tirez la couronne en position 4 pour arrêter l aiguille des secondes et régler l heure à la seconde la plus proche.

26 Ajustements du Bracelet Entretien La Ceramic dispose d un bracelet avec un système de maillons modulaires. Pour vous assurer du meilleur service technique, confiez votre montre à un horloger certifié pour ajuster le nombre de maillons de votre bracelet. Pour toute intervention sur votre Ceramic 42-20, nous vous recommandons vivement de nous la renvoyer ou de trouver un horloger certifie qui puisse vous en assurer la maintenance. Le numéro individuel, inscrit au dos de votre montre, constitue la preuve de son authenticité. Conservez précieusement ce numéro au dos de cette notice. Mouvement Nous vous recommandons de faire vérifier par un horloger certifié tous les cinq (5) ans pour vous assurer de son bon fonctionnement et de sa précision. Joints Nous vous recommandons de faire vérifier les joints de votre montre par un horloger certifie tous les deux (2) ans pour vous assurer que votre montre reste étanche a l eau (100m) 50 Température N exposez pas votre montre à des températures extrêmes 51 (plus de 60-C ou 140-F, moins de -10-C ou 14 F). Anti-Choc Bien que le mouvement de la Ceramic 42-20, dispose d un système anti-choc Incabloc, il est préférable d éviter les chocs importants. Nettoyage Rincez la montre à l eau et au savon après toute exposition à l eau salée ou au sable et séchez avec un chiffon doux.

27 GARANTIE NIXON Entretien La montre Automatic est garantie sur les défauts de matériaux et d assemblage. Si nos services techniques déterminent que la pièce défectueuse ou le problème est le résultat d une mauvaise fabrication, votre Automatic sera réparée gratuitement. Après une période de 2ans suivant la date d achat, le coût d intervention de tous remplacement ou réparation vous sera facturé, que la pièce soit couverte ou non par la garantie. Pour bénéficier de cette garantie,vous devrez présenter le certificat figurant au dos de cette notice, signé et daté par le magasin où vous avez acheté la montre et prouver que l entretien a bien été effectué. Ceci peut faire l objet d un suivi également au dos de cette notice, en faisant apposer les tampons des techniciens qui seront intervenus sur votre montre. Certains pays ou états, cependant, ne permettent pas l exclusion ou la limitation de la durée de la garantie ou l exclusion ou la limitation des dommages accidentels ou consécutifs, de sorte que les limitations et exclusions ci-dessus ne vous seront pas appliquées.
