Conferences, Short courses and Workshops During this year as part of the activities made so far we designed a program for students of our chapter with the aim of improving basic knowledge in the area of economic geology and mineral deposits. 1) January 3th: Diseño Geotécnico de Grandes Taludes Mineros by PhD. Luis Tejada. (Participants: 15). 2) March 20th y 21th: Alteraciones Hidrotermales como Guías de Exploración by Dr. Pedro Gagliuffi Espinoza. (Participants: 40).

Student Conferences In order to improve our knowledge in economic geology, we have organized conferences of last year s students to younger students on topics such as: Porphyry Deposits Epithermal Deposits Skarn Deposits VMS Deposits IOCG Deposits Also, we have read a lot of Papers each week at University.
