The car must be statinary befre wrking n the system. PRESENTATION Thank yu fr chsing a Parrt car stere. Yu can nw take full advantage f a Bluetth CD/MP3 car stere with a built-in hands-free kit. All the features sprted by a tp-f-the-range hands-free kit are available: phnebk synchrnisatin, caller ID display, exceptinal audi quality inside the car, dual call management, cmpatibility with all Bluetth phnes, and much mre. YOUR CAR STEREO'S BLUETOOTH FEATURES This system is equipped with the Bluetth technlgy, which enables the wireless exchange f data between electrnic systems. In the present case, yur Bluetth phne is cnnected t the car stere. Depending n yur phne (*), this synchrnises the phne's phnebk in the car stere's memry, which will subsequently allw yu t call peple directly frm the phnebk, see the caller's name displayed, and s n. Yu can als answer calls, hang up and cntrl the call vlume with the car stere's green and red buttns and the scrll wheel. Remving the frnt panel Press the eject buttn (in the tp right) t tip the frnt panel. Mve the panel sideways t the left. Pull the right side f the panel away frm the car stere and then the left side. Stre the panel in the carry case and take it with yu. Replacing the frnt panel Insert the left side f the frnt panel int the car stere. Then insert the right side f the panel int the car stere. Push the panel up until yu hear a click. Remving the entire stere Remve the car stere's frnt panel and casing. Insert the keys int the apprpriate hles until they remain stuck. Pull the stere twards yu. 6

8 Ntice 5100 Zne C qxp 10/01/ :58 Page 8 REMOTE CONTROL Using the remte cntrl - The n/ff buttn is used t turn the car stere n and ff. - Surce is used t change frm ne mde t anther: Tuner, CD/MP3 and then Phne. - In CD/MP3 mde, the fast-frward and rewind arrws let yu skip frm ne track t anther by means f a quick press. They are als used t simply g fr wards/back wards in a track. In Tuner mde, they allw yu t skip frm ne radi statin t an ther. - The play/pause buttn is used fr playing CDs. - When yu receive an incming call, press the green buttn t answer and the red but tn t hang up. - Yu can als dial a phne number n the remte cntrl. T d s, change t Phne mde (via the Surce buttn r by pressing the Phne buttn directly n the car stere's frnt panel) and then dial the num ber n the keypad. Once the number has been dialled, press the green buttn t call. Nte: the "+" prefix can be btained by pressing the zer buttn fr tw secnds. Replacing the battery in the remte cntrl When the remte cntrl n lnger wrks prperly r yu experience prblems cntrlling the car stere with the remte cntrl, replace the remte cntrl's battery. Ensure that the battery is facing the crrect plarity when fitting the replacement. 1. Remve the battery cver by pressing the buttn. 2. Insert the new battery with the (+) side facing yu. Replace the cver. CAUTION : The battery must be stred ut f the reach f children. If a child accidentally swallws the battery, seek medical advice immediately. T turn the car stere ff, hld dwn the same buttn fr tw secnds. There are three majr features, which can be accessed directly via the car stere's frnt panel: Tuner, CD/MP3 and Phne mde EACH MODE ENABLES THE CAR STEREO TO BE USED IN A DIFFERENT WAY: TUNER (OR RADIO) MODE Press the Tuner buttn t listen t the radi. The fast-frward and rewind arrws let yu search fr statins n a step-by-step basis. If yu hld dwn either arrw, the system will autmatically search fr the next statin. When yu are tuned int a statin, hld dwn a number n the frnt panel's keypad (lng press) t assign a shrtcut number. Subsequently, t g straight t a memrised statin, simply press the crrespnding number. When the statin is memrised, the assigned shrtcut number is displayed at the same time as the statin's frequency. CD/MP3 (OR DISC PLAYBACK) MODE Press CD/MP3 t listen t a CD. Yu can mve frm ne track n the CD t anther by pressing fast-frward r rewind. T mve quickly frwards r backwards in a track, hld dwn the fast-frward r rewind buttn fr mre than half a secnd. When playing an MP3 disc, the LCD screen successively displays the fllwing infrmatin: title f the sng, album and artist, and always the time elapsed. Yu can als select the track directly n the CD via the keypad. PHONE MODE Press Phne t change the system t phne mde. Once cnnected with yur Bluetth phne, yu will be given infrmatin n yur mbile phne's battery and signal levels. Yur peratr is als displayed (*). Yu can access yur phnebk simply by turning the scrll wheel. Yu can then brwse thrugh the alphabet. Select the crrespnding letter fr the required cntacts. If yur cntacts have mre than ne phne number, press the scrll wheel again t access the numbers and then the green buttn t call. T view yur call recrds, press the rtary buttn. All the calls made, missed and received are displayed. (*) These features depend n yur phne. 8

Yu can fully use all the car stere's features and define the audi settings, backlight and all the Bluetth features. Yu can brwse thrugh the menus using the scrll wheel. Pressing the scrll wheel pens the selected menu, allwing yu t make any required adjustments t the selected feature. Menu descriptin and structure - CD/MP3 : Used t define the way in which yu wish t listen t yur CDs: search, play back ptins, etc. - CD/MP3 MP3 search Intelligent A B C Brwser Repeat mde Disabled Repeat ne Mde aléatire Disabled Enabled TUNER : Sme infrmatin abut RDS: - The RDS (RDS Scan) ptin displays the radi statin's name and searches fr alternative frequencies if the receptin signal fades. This feature is als called "RDS Alternative Frequencies (AF)". - Once enabled, the "RDS Regin" feature keeps the settings f the current statin when searching fr alternative frequencies. Fr example, a radi statin bradcasting lcal prgrammes t a specific regin will nt be replaced by the same statin bradcasting natinal prgrammes when searching fr alternative frequencies. - The "Traffic Prgram" indicatr (RDS TP) determines whether the radi statin can bradcast traffic infrmatin. - If the "Traffic Alert" feature (RDS TA) is enabled and the current statin can bradcast traffic infrmatin ("Traffic Prgram" indicatr enabled), the car stere autmatically switches t Tuner mde when traffic infrmatin is bradcast. - If the "Traffic Alert" feature is enabled and the current statin des nt bradcast traffic infrmatin ("Traffic Prgram" indicatr disabled), the fllwing screen is displayed n the car stere: Prtuguês Deutsch Dutch Italian Españl Français English 9

11 Ntice 5100 Zne C qxp 10/01/ :58 Page 11 BLUETOOTH : This menu lets yu manage all the Bluetth features n yur car stere: phnebk management, assigning f viceprints, display, language. - Phnebk: access t the phnebk memrised in the car stere. - Call recrds: list f calls missed, made and received. - In the Settings subdirectry: The paired devices ptin displays the name f the Bluetth phne with which yur car stere is cnnected in hands-free mde. Once enabled, the autmatic answer feature immediately answers any incming call. With sme phnes, a specific mde must be enabled befre pairing (Pair a phne), s that as many features as pssible can be supprted. Once again n specific phnes, the Object Push feature is used t receive cntacts when autmatic synchrnisatin is nt available. Phnes cmpatible with the Bluetth technlgy use either the Hands-free r the Headset prfile fr transferring the call t the car stere. The Hands-free prfile ffers the mst features. When using yur car stere in Tuner r CD/MP3 mde, the unit autmatically switches t Phne mde if smene calls yu. After the call, the car stere returns t Tuner r CD/MP3 mde. The driver des nt need t take any actin. The same applies when yu make a call via the car stere. Pairing: Pairing is the first cnnectin between yur Bluetth phne and the car stere. This prcedure is initiated via yur phne. Search fr any Bluetth peripherals. Once "Parrt Car Stere" is fund, select it and yur phne prmpts yu t enter a furdigit cde. Enter 1234 and cnfirm. After the necessary data has been exchanged, yu are nw Bluetth cnnected with the car stere. With sme phnes, a special mde needs t be enabled prir t pairing fr access t mre features. Refer t Bluetth > Settings > Pair a phne. Synchrnising the phne's phnebk: With sme Bluetth phnes, the phnebk is autmatically synchrnised in the kit's memry. If yur phne des nt supprt autmatic synchrnisatin, yu can als use the Object Push feature n yur phne t send cntacts frm yur phne t the car stere by Bluetth. When synchrnising the phnebk, the Bluetth icn scrlls ver the screen. Refer t yur phne's user guide r ur website fr details n hw t prceed: " at the sectin entitled Technical Supprt, User Guides" Answering / Hanging up : Making a call via the car stere's interface : Tw ptins are available: Change t Phne mde. Dial the phne number directly via the keypad and then press the green buttn. T dial a number with "+" as the prefix, quickly press the zer key twice. Yu can als use the vice recgnitin feature (see belw). Vice recgnitin : Yu can make calls using the car stere's vice recgnitin feature. T d s, cntacts must be memrised in the kit's memry (autmatic synchrnisatin f the phnebk r cntacts sent individually frm the phne). Yu must have first recrded the keywrds: hme, wrk, ffice, and s n, as well as the magic wrd "phne". Once yu have recrded the names, keywrds and magic wrd, yu can call a cntact as fllws: Say: Phne (Beep) Anna (Beep) Hme and the car stere autmatically dials Anna's hme number. Similarly, if Anna calls yu, yu will hear "Anna". Press the green buttn t answer the call. Press the red buttn t end the call. The car stere autmatically returns t Tuner, CD/MP3 r Phne mde. Yu can als use the fllwing sequence fr using the vice recgnitin feature, but withut keywrds: Press the green buttn and the radi r CD is muted. Yu will hear a beep. Say the required persn's name after the beep and if necessary, specify huse, wrk r ffice (if available). T answer a call, press the green buttn abve the scrll wheel. Once yu have finished yur cnversatin, press the red buttn t hang up. Discreet mde: During a call, press the green buttn t switch the cnversatin ver t the phne. Press the green buttn again t return the call t hands-free mde. This feature is nly available n phnes with a Hands-free prfile. Caller ID : When an incming call is received, the caller's name r number is displayed. This feature is nly available n certain phnes. Nte: When recrding the keywrds and magic wrd, park yur vehicle in a quiet place with the windws clsed and the heater/air cnditiner ff. This is necessary t btain a higher recgnitin rate. 12

T d s, enable the ptin in Bluetth > Settings > Advanced settings > Sftware update, and then use a cmputer fitted with Bluetth t dwnlad the latest versin t yur car stere (available frm ur website). Fr further infrmatin, visit ur website: TROUBLESHOOTING In the event f a malfunctin, immediately discnnect the car stere. This unit must nt be used in abnrmal cnditins, such as if there is n sund r unpleasant smells are detected frm the unit, t avid any risk f electrcutin. On n accunt shuld yu try t repair the unit yurself. General: Radi : Disc : The car stere des nt cme n. The car's ignitin is switched ff. Turn the key in the ignitin t the ACC psitin (n). Lrs du remplacement d'un fusible, utiliser un ampérage de même valeur que le fusible à changer. Utiliser un fusible avec un ampérage supérieur peut endmmager le système. Ne pas démnter le système. Le faisceau laser du lecteur est dangereux pur les yeux. Assurez-vus que des bjets extérieurs ne s'insèrent pas dans le système : ils peuvent causer un dysfnctinnement du système, u engendrer des prblèmes de sécurité tels que des électrcutins u une expsitin au laser. Si vus avez expsé vtre véhicule pur une lngue péride à de très haute u de très basses températures, veuillez attendre que le rétablissement de la température de l'habitacle avant d'utiliser l'appareil. Le vlume snre de l'autradi ne dit pas être trp frt : vus devez entendre les avertissements extérieurs. NOTES SUR LES CD Ecuter un CD abîmé u pussiéreux peut causer des cupures pendant l'écute. Tenir les CD cmme illustré ci-cntre. Ne pas tucher la partie nn imprimée. Ne pas faire de marques de tutes natures sur la partie lisible du CD. Ne pas expser un CD à la lumière directe du sleil u à un envirnnement trp chaud. Essuyer les CD sales du centre vers l'extérieur avec un tissu adapté. Ne jamais utilisé des slvants tels que le benzène u de l'alcl. Cet autradi ne peut pas lire les CD de 3'' (8cm). Ne jamais utiliser un CD de 3'', u des disques ayant une frme irrégulière. Ils purraient rester blqués et prvquer des dysfnctinnements. ATTENTION Ne retirez pas le cuvercle de l'appareil. Ne pas réparer vus-même le système. Tutes les fnctins d'un kit mains-libres haut de gamme snt présentes : synchrnisatin du répertire, affichage du nm de l'interlcuteur, qualité audi exceptinnelle dans l'habitacle de la viture, gestin du duble appel, cmpatibilité avec tus les téléphnes Bluetth LES FONCTIONNALITES BLUETOOTH DE VOTRE AUTORADIO Ce système est équipé de la technlgie Bluetth, qui permet d'établir des échanges de dnnées sans fils entre systèmes électrniques. Dans le cas présent, vtre téléphne Bluetth est cnnecté avec l'autradi. Ceci permet, seln vtre téléphne (*), de synchrniser le répertire de vtre téléphne dans la mémire de l'autradi. Cela vus permettra par la suite d'appeler les persnnes directement depuis ce répertire, de vir le nm de l'appelant s'afficher... Vus puvez aussi décrcher, raccrcher, cntrôler le vlume de vs cmmunicatins avec les butns vert, ruge et la mlette de l'autradi. La recnnaissance vcale intégrée permet d'utiliser de nmbreuses fnctins sans lâcher le vlant des mains. AVANT LA MISE EN MARCHE Ne pas mettre le vlume trp frt, cela purrait rendre les bruits extérieurs inaudibles. La viture dit être arrêtée avant tute interventin sur le système. Retrait de la façade: Appuyez sur le butn d'éjectin (en haut à drite) pur faire basculer la façade. Déplacez latéralement la façade vers la gauche. Tirez le côté drit de la façade hrs de l'autradi puis le côté gauche. Rangez la façade dans l'étui et emprtez-là avec vus. Mise en place de la façade: Insérez le côté gauche de la façade dans l'autradi. Insérez ensuite le côté drit de la façade dans l'autradi. Relevez la façade jusqu'à entendre le clic de fixatin Retrait de l'appareil cmplet: Retirez la façade et le cntur de l'autradi. Intrduisez les clés dans les emplacements adéquats jusqu'à ce qu'elles restent blquées. Tirez sur l'appareil. 18

20 Ntice 5100 Zne C qxp 10/01/ :59 Page 20 TELECOMMANDE Utilisatin de la télécmmande : - Le butn marche/arrêt permet de cntrôler l'alimentatin de l'autradi. - Surce permet de passer d'un mde à l'autre : mde Tuner, CD/MP3 puis Phne. - En mde CD/MP3, les flèches avant et arrière permettent de passer d'une chansn à une autre avec un appui bref. Elles snt aussi utilisées pur simplement avancer/reculer dans une chansn. En mde Tuner, elles vus permettent d'avancer u de revenir sur le chix de vs statins. - Le butn lecture/pause cntrôle la lecture d'un CD. - Lrs d'un appel entrant, le butn vert décrche, et le butn ruge raccrche. Vus puvez aussi cmpser un numér de téléphne depuis la télécmmande. Pur cela, passez en mde Phne (à l'aide du butn surce u en appuyant directement sur Phne sur la façade de l'autradi), puis cmpsez vtre numér en utilisant le clavier. Une fis vtre numér cmpsé, appuyez sur vert pur lancer l'appel. Remarque : le " + " s'btient en appuyant 2 secndes sur le zér. Remplacement de la batterie de la télécmmande : Lrsque la télécmmande ne fnctinne plus crrectement u que vus avez des difficultés pur cntrôler l'autradi avec la télécmmande, remplacez la batterie de la télécmmande avec une nuvelle. Assurez-vus de la bnne plarité lrs du remplacement. 1. Retirer le supprt de la batterie en appuyant sur le butn. 2. Insérer la nuvelle batterie avec la face (+) vers vus. Remettre le supprt en psitin. ATTENTION : La batterie dit être entrepsée dans un endrit hrs d'atteinte des enfants. Si un enfant avale la batterie accidentellement, cnsulter immédiatement un dcteur. Ne pas recharger, uvrir, chauffer u jeter sur une surce incandescente. Une de ces actins peut entraîner des étincelles u un début de feu. Ne pas entrepser la batterie avec d'autres matériaux métallique. Ceci peut entraîner des étincelles u un début de feu. Ne pas manipuler la batterie avec une pince à épiler. Ceci peut entraîner des étincelles u début de feu. LES DIFFERENTS MODES DE FONCTIONNEMENT Tut d'abrd, vus devez mettre l'autradi sus tensin. Pur cela, appuyez sur le butn rtateur pur le mettre en marche. Pur l'éteindre, appuyer 2 secndes sur ce même butn. Il existe 3 fnctinnalités majeures, accessibles directement depuis l'interface de l'autradi: mde Tuner, mde CD/mp3 et mde Phne. Chaque mde permet une utilisatin différente de l'autradi : MODE TUNER (OU RADIO) Appuyez sur la tuche Tuner pur écuter la radi. Les flèches arrière et avant vus permettent de vus déplacer en pas à pas pur la recherche de statins. Si vus restez appuyé sur une des deux tuches en cntinu, le système va se caler autmatiquement sur la prchaine statin. Quand vus êtes sur une statin, appuyez sur un chiffre du clavier de la façade (appui lng) pur lui assigner un raccurci. Ensuite, pur vus placer sur une statin mémrisée, appuyez simplement dessus pur la rappeler. Lrsque la statin est mémrisée, le chiffre raccurci attribué est affiché en même temps que la fréquence de la statin. MODE CD/MP3 (OU LECTURE DES DISQUES) : Appuyez sur CD/mp3 pur basculer sur l'écute d'un CD. Vus puvez vus déplacer de chansn en chansn sur le CD en appuyant sur arrière u avant. Pur un retur u une avance rapide, maintenez arrière u avant appuyé pendant plus de 0,5 secndes. Lrs de la lecture d'un disque MP3, l'écran LCD affiche successivement les infrmatins suivantes : titre de la chansn, album et artiste, et en permanence le temps éculé. Vus puvez également sélectinner directement la chansn sur vtre CD depuis le clavier. MODE PHONE (OU TÉLÉPHONIE) : Appuyez sur Phne pur passer le système en mde téléphnie. Une fis cnnecté avec vtre téléphne Bluetth, vus retruvez les infrmatins relatives au niveau de batterie et de réseau de vtre prtable. Vtre pérateur est aussi affiché (*). L'accès à vtre répertire se fait simplement en faisant turner la mlette. Vus naviguez alrs sur l'alphabet. Sélectinnez vtre lettre pur accéder aux cntacts. Si vs cntacts nt plus d'un numér de téléphne, appuyez encre sur la mlette pur accéder à ces numérs, puis butn vert pur l'appeler. Pur cnsulter vtre jurnal d'appels, pressez le butn rtateur. Les appels émis, manqués et reçus s'affichent. (*) Ces fnctins dépendent de vtre téléphne prtable. 20
