2 Present Tense The present tense is used to report what is happening and what is true now. Reports on both specific now (at this moment) and general now (these days; this time period). Structure: simple tense: verb base + ending
3 AR Verb Conjugation-PRESENT Hablar = talk Pagar = pay Replace the -ar I = yo -o I talk Yo hablo I pay Yo pago You = tú (familiar) -as You talk You pay Tú hablas Tú pagas He = él She = ella You (formal) = usted -a He talks You pay Él habla Usted paga We = nosotros -amos We talk Nosotros hablamos We pay Nosotros pagamos They = ellos/ellas You (formal) = ustedes -an They talk They pay Ellos hablan Ustedes pagan
