After a year of making Mosul by ISIS, the archbishop called on "people who have the responsibility" to go to the rescue of displaced Christian communities, whose members yearn to return home. In an interview with the international charity Aid to the Church in Need (ACN), Archbishop said that military intervention is the "best option". "We ask everyone to put pressure on those who have the power to release all people as soon as possible for people to return to their homes and continue their life," he said. Archbishop's comments reflected the frustration of many clerics in the Middle East on the strength of the West to engage in a large-scale action to confront and defeat extremism in the region, an idea that many Church leaders have rejected. Mons. Moshe said that if the West is unable to redouble their efforts in the fight against ISIS, should open its doors to Christians and other minorities seeking asylum. "I call on the international community: If you can not protect us should open the doors for us to start a new life outside our homeland. ( it is a requirement to be registered and active on a weekly basis) You can ask for a total annual contribution letter for you taxes. All donations may be tax deductible. This is why is very important to make your donation using your envelope number. You can request a recommendation letter for the Court or Immigration Services. Please, note that a letter from the Church is of great value even essential for your case. So register now! HOW CAN YOU REGISTER: 1. Come to the Parish s office to fill out a form with basic information. It is completely confidential. See our schedule on page You will be given 8 white offering envelopes with a temporary number to begin. At this point you are only pre-registered. 3. Once you finish these 8 envelopes (it will take you 2 months). Come back to the office with your temporary number. You will be given an official and permanent number so will now be an official registered member for the Parish! Contributing to the Parish is surely a Gift from God and a gift of your labor. We deeply appreciate every single donation, big or small. The upkeep of the Church ( A/C, water, electricity, maintenance, etc) costs a lot. But please, keep in mind that this is the holy place where you receive the Sacraments and from where eventually depart to an encounter with our Lord. So, please, think about giving to the Church generously and joyfully. In addition, we invite you to make use of the offering envelopes, so we have evidence of your participation as practicing catholic. Do not delay, register at the office ASAP! Si usted asiste regularmente a la Iglesia Católica San Agustín o a cualquier otra parroquia, y no está registrado, le recomendamos que vaya a la oficina a registrarse. No espere a sentir o tener necesidad de hacerlo. Esto traerá a su familia muchos beneficios en el futuro que sólo los usuarios registrados pueden tener, basado en su asistencia registrada a través del uso de los sobres durante las Misas Dominicales. Por ejemplo: Usted puede solicitar consejería espiritual y ser atendido con más rapidez y prioridad. El Evangelio también nos compromete a dar pasos concretos; por ejemplo, revisar nuestras actitudes hacia los ancianos de la familia o el enfermo olvidado en casa o en el hospital. Tender la mano y dejarnos tocar por ellos es lo que devolverá la vida y la alegría a la familia y la sociedad tan herida y lastimada por la enfermedad y la muerte.
