R-A member Anne Novotny, who is an expert in the art of knitting, as well as a highly sought after teacher, has donated her time and talent to instruct us. Please drink plenty of liquids and eat before coming to donate and refrain from drinking coffee! Remember each pint donated can save three lives! The HCJ Exceptional Children s Program welcomes school age and older students with disabilities (different abilities!) who want to pray and prepare for sacraments in a program that supports their talents and encourages them to grow in faith as part of a community. Come and see what we are about. Registration and first class for new and returning students is at 9:30 am on September 26, 2015 in the Leonard Center dining room. Potential volunteers are welcome as well. (Registration fees are $75 for one student with discounts for multiple children in the same family.)

4 20 DE SEPTIEMBRE, 2015 VIGESIMO QUINTO DOMINGO DEL TIEMPO ORDINARIO Nos invita el evangelio de San Marcos en esta Semana como tema básico, a tratar de imitar la humildad de Jesús, en nuestra vida diaria como auténcos crisanos. Si el Apóstol Sanago en la Segunda lectura, advierte acera de la codicia, en el evangelio de esta dominica, se alaba la humildad como una alternava crisana, ante la disputa que se presenta entre los discípulos sobre su futuro presgio y liderazgo, y esta preocupación es una forma de avaricia. Jesús no menciona la humildad, pero transmite su doctrina sobre que es ser importante, que implica humildad. Ser importante es servir, y mantener una actud sincera de ser el ulmo, con la certeza que los úlmos pueden llegar a ser primeros. Cabe que meditemos en esta semana sobre el adagio que dice que: Quien no vive para servir, no sirve para vivir. El día 27 de septiembre La Cruz Roja estará en el Auditorio de la Escuela de 8:00am hasta la 1:45pm. Todos los mayores de 17 pueden ser donadores, ese día trae contigo algún documento que te identifique; pasaporte, licencia de conducir o cualquier credencial con tu fotografía. Ya no es necesario proveer el número de seguro social. Classes will be held on Saturday mornings from 10am until 11:30am starting September 26th. The Summer Registration fees are: $75 for one child $130 for two children $160 for three or more children in the same family. Our Religious Education Program covers eight years-each builds on the previous year's instruction. Preparation for First Holy Communion is a two year program, but it does not and should not end there. Children should continue their religious education training straight through to Confirmation which occurs in Step 8.
