2 2 You are advised to spend 45 minutes answering the questions in this booklet. QUESTION ONE: Interview with Ricardo and Alberto Read the interview below with Ricardo and Alberto. Answer the questions on pages 3 and 5, in English, in the spaces provided. The text has been printed again on page 4 so that you will not have to turn back to this page. Your answers must be based on the information you read. You will be rewarded for providing: all the information requested and detailed answers. Reportera: Contadnos vuestra aventura en el monte. Alberto y yo decidimos salir el viernes por la tarde a una excursión al monte, para volver a casa el sábado por la tarde. Reportera: Y qué equipo trajisteis? Yo traje mi mochila, mi saco de dormir y una tienda. También unos bocadillos, galletas y chocolate. Yo, además de mi mochila y saco de dormir, traje una olla y tenía café y azúcar. Reportera: Qué pasó la noche del viernes? Bueno, llegamos al pie del monte a eso de las seis, pusimos la tienda, nos comimos los bocadillos, pero no pudimos calentar el agua para tomar café, porque no teníamos con qué encender el fuego, así que, como ya estaba oscuro, nos acostamos. Nos despertamos a medianoche con la lluvia. Estaba entrando en la tienda porque Ricardo se olvidó de cerrarla. Reportera: Y qué hicisteis? Cerramos bien la tienda y esperamos hasta la mañana siguiente. No pudimos seguir durmiendo. Teníamos frío y aunque es primavera, llovió toda la noche. Apenas se hizo de día, nos levantamos y como ya no llovía, decidimos subir el monte. No se veía bien el camino después de la lluvia, por lo tanto, nos perdimos. Caminamos en círculos sin encontrar el camino ni de ida, ni de vuelta. Reportera: Lograsteis salir? No, pensamos que lo mejor era no caminar más y nos quedamos en un mismo lugar. También pensamos que nuestros padres estarían preocupados por la lluvia de la noche anterior y saldrían a buscarnos si no llegábamos el sábado temprano por la tarde. Y así sucedió. A las siete de la tarde, salieron mi padre, mi hermano mayor y el padre de Alberto a buscarnos en el monte. Escuchamos sus voces llamándonos desde más abajo y corrimos hasta encontrarlos. Para la próxima excursión, nos fijaremos en cómo va a estar el tiempo antes de partir!
