32 THE MIAMI EXECUTIVE MBA FOR THE AMERICAS The innovative Miami Executive MBA for the Americas program, which blends on-campus modules with distance learning, is designed for high-potential professionals doing business in or connecting with the Americas. As such, the curriculum is built around four business themes of particular relevance and importance to those engaged in global business: Global Strategy and Execution Managing Global Operations and Decision Making Global Multicultural Leadership Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology 29 Developing Global Leaders at the Crossroads of the Americas

33 Participants interact with C-Suite executives and learn from case studies, simulations, group projects and other exercises. Delivered in Miami by a world-class faculty that knows what it takes to operate in the cultures and markets of the Americas better than any other, The Miami Executive MBA for the Americas program prepares participants for success in what will be the most diverse, dynamic and interconnected marketplaces in the world. The 17-month program has nine on-campus residencies that are approximately eight weeks apart. The first and last residencies are weeklong, and other residencies are three days long Friday, Saturday and Sunday*. Residencies in The Miami Executive MBA for the Americas are conducted by multifunctional faculty teams that engage students and facilitate peer discussions around the participants real business problems. 30

34 Throughout the program, each participant works on an individual project that addresses the specific business and management challenges and opportunities faced by the participant s firm. The project is tremendously relevant and provides significant value to both the program participant and his or her organization. The off-campus curriculum also includes virtual group projects, individual assignments, simulations, and other engaging learning activities related to upcoming on-campus topics. *Occassionally, classes fall on holidays weekends and there are exams on four Friday evenings. 31
