2 Nivel Básico FOUNDATIONS OF ENTERPRISE ARCHITECTURE USING TOGAF v9 Explicación breve del curso. El curso tiene como fin entregar la terminología, conceptos principales y entender los principios básicos alrededor de Arquitectura Empresarial y TOGAF 9 al igual que la preparación para el examen de certificación. La Arquitectura Empresarial es una práctica estratégica, que permite encontrar los hilos de relación entre las iniciativas institucionales (definidas como cadena de valor, metas, objetivos, programas, proyectos, procesos, personas, etc.), y la tecnología subyacente que la apalanca, en un modelo que permite evaluar las fortalezas y debilidades, y trazar estrategias de transformación, desde la Arquitectura actual hacia un modelo Arquitectónico que represente una visión futura. El curso utiliza para tal fin TOGAF v9, el modelo propuesto por The Open Group como el marco oficial mundial para Arquitectura Empresarial. La Arquitectura Empresarial es la práctica fundamental para crear convergencia entre negocio y tecnología al interior de las compañías. El curso básico proporciona las herramientas requeridas para profesionalizar la inversión en tecnología, entendiendo como se articula el entendimiento de la organización desde todas las áreas de negocio para dar valor a la organización siguiendo modelos de vertical de industria y TOGAF. Duración. 3 Días Quien Debe Asistir? Individuos que requieran un entendimiento básico de TOGAF 9 Profesionales que estén o vayan a trabajar en roles asociados con proyectos de arquitectura, como por ejemplo aquellos responsables en planeación, ejecución, desarrollo, entrega y operación. Arquitectos que busquen una primera introducción
3 Consultores y Arquitectos de Negocio Gerentes de Proyecto que impliquen cambios en los procesos de negocio Analistas, Diseñadores y Desarrolladores de Sistemas de Información Empleados clave involucrados en facilitar, provocar y difundir cambios y mejoras en los procesos y sistemas de negocio, cualquier persona interesada en conocer los fundamentos en Arquitectura Empresarial. Objetivos de Aprendizaje del Curso. Instruir a los estudiantes en los conceptos básicos de Arquitectura Empresarial y TOGAF 9. Familiarizar a los estudiantes en las características de TOGAF y su metodología. Permitir que los estudiantes tomen la mejor ventaja de cómo usar TOGAF en su trabajo. Obtener un entendimiento en el cuerpo de conocimiento necesario para alcanzar la certificación en la evaluación de TOGAF para el nivel 1 (TOGAF v9 FOUNDATION). Nota: La certificación es separada del entrenamiento y se obtiene pasando un examen en un centro de evaluación Prometric cuyo costo está incluido en el curso. Material. Durante el curso, los asistentes se familiarizarán con el cuerpo de conocimiento de TOGAF 9 Enterprise Edition. Se ofrece el curso oficial de Arquitectura Empresarial - TOGAF incluida la certificación tanto del nivel básico como el nivel avanzado.

Explain why TOGAF is suitable as a framework for enterprise architecture 6. Describe the structure of TOGAF, and briefly explain the contents of each of the parts 7. Briefly explain what TOGAF is 8. Explain what architecture is in the context of TOGAF 9. List the different types of architecture that TOGAF deals with 2. Core Concepts The purpose of this module is to help the Candidate explain the core concepts of TOGAF. 1. The ADM: phase names and the purpose of each phase (high-level) 2. The Architecture Content Framework: deliverables, artifacts, and building blocks 3. The Enterprise Continuum 4. The Architecture Repository 5. How to establish and maintain an enterprise Architecture Capability 6. Establishing the Architecture Capability as an operational entity 7. How to use TOGAF with other frameworks 8. Introduction to the ADM The purpose of this module is to help the Candidate understand the ADM cycle, briefly explain the objective of each phase in the cycle, and how to adapt and scope the ADM for use. 1. Briefly describe the ADM cycle, its phases, and the objective of each phase 2. Describe a typical set of steps, such as those for Phase D 3. Describe the versioning convention for deliverables used in Phases A to D 4. Briefly describe the relationship between the ADM and other parts of TOGAF (Enterprise Continuum, Architecture Repository, Foundation Architecture, Supporting Guidelines and Techniques) 5. Explain the purpose of the supporting guidelines and techniques, and the difference between guidelines and techniques 6. Briefly describe the key points of the ADM cycle 7. List the main reasons why you would need to adapt the ADM 8. Explain the need for the ADM process to be governed 9. Describe the major information areas managed by a governance repository 10. Briefly explain the reasons for scoping an architecture activity 11. List the possible dimensions for limiting the scope 12. Briefly explain the need for an integration framework that sits above individual architectures. 5. Enterprise Continuum and Tools The purpose of this module is to help the Candidate understand the concept of the Enterprise Continuum, its purpose, and constituent parts.

Describe the standard template for Architecture Principles 4. Explain what makes a good Architecture Principle 5. Understand what a Business Scenario is and its purpose 6. Architecture Views, Viewpoints, and Stakeholders The purpose of this module is to help the Candidate understand the concepts of views and viewpoints, and their role in communicating with stakeholders as well as applying them to the Architecture Development Cycle. 1. Define and explain the following key concepts : o Stakeholders o Concerns o Views o Viewpoints 2. Describe a simple example of a viewpoint and view 3. Discuss the relationship between stakeholders, concerns, views, and viewpoints 4. Describe the view creation process 10. Building Blocks The purpose of this module is to help the Candidate understand the concept of building blocks within TOGAF. 1. Define what a building block is, and explain what makes a good building block 2. Explain the distinction between Architecture Building Blocks and Solution Building Blocks 3. Briefly explain the use of building blocks in the ADM cycle 4. Briefly explain the approach taken in the Building Blocks Example given in TOGAF Section Describe the characteristics of an Architecture Pattern 11. ADM Deliverables The purpose of this module is to help the Candidate understand key deliverables of the ADM cycle. 1. Briefly explain the role of architecture deliverables across the ADM cycle 2. Briefly explain the purpose of the following deliverables :

Briefly explain the relationship of the III-RM to the concept of Boundaryless Information Flow 13. TOGAF Certification Program (Non-examinable) The purpose of this module is to help the Candidate understand the TOGAF Certification program. 1. Explain the TOGAF Certification program, and distinguish between the levels for certification
