1 Main Office: DRANESVILLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL 1515 Powells Tavern Place Rae Mitchell, Principal Attendance Line: Herndon, VA Dean Cicciarelli, Assistant Principal Ross Baker, Assistant Principal Dreambox Learning Account Update Information September 27, 2016 We have renewed our license for Dreambox Learning which is an online, Intelligent Adaptive Learning program that helps all students achieve better, faster math proficiency. Every student at Dranesville (Preschool Grade 6) has an account. As of this week (Sept. 26), the Dreambox Learning accounts have been updated to reflect the students and teachers. Your child can access Dreambox Learning with the following steps: Go to the Dranesville ES Dreambox Learning site at : which is also linked off the home page of the Dranesville Elementary School website: Students should click on their math teacher s name which may be the same as their homeroom teacher s name (especially in the lower grades Preschool Grade 2) Students should log into their account by doing the following: Grades Preschool Grade 2: Students should click on their name and then on their picture password. If they have not set one yet, they can click on a picture of their choosing Grade 3: Username = Student ID Password: Grade Level core word + birthday date If your child does not know their core word, please contact your child s teacher to obtain it. Grades 4 6: Username = Student ID Password: Student ID + the first three letters of birth month with the first letter capitalized (e.g Sep) If you have trouble logging in, please contact your child s teacher. Dear Dranesville Families, DES Book Exchange This is a reminder that Dranesville (DES) is now encouraging families to donate children s books (in good condition) their family has out-grown for the DES Book Exchange. We are hoping to have a table full of free books available at all our family events. If you have donations for the Book Exchange, they can be dropped off at the DES office at any time. Choosing books will only be available at DES family events. You may also bring books you wish to donate to the Book Exchange table at these events. A Volunteer Sign-Up sheet will be posted at the Book Exchange table at Back to School Night this Thursday. We are looking for volunteers to both sort books and monitor the Book Exchange tables throughout the year. Volunteers will be contacted by DES Literacy Staff to coordinate convenient times for sorting and monitoring the exchanges.
