La importancia de las tareas domésticas Marta Jiménez Ordoño, psicóloga española, nos habla de los resultados de sus investigaciones recientes sobre la importancia de compartir las tareas domésticas. A los padres aconsejo: Es muy importante que los adolescentes colaboren en las tareas del hogar. No sólo ayuda a crear un sentido de colaboración en casa, sino que es bueno también para el desarrollo psicológico del joven. Así, cuando ustedes hacen sentir a su hijo que él juega un papel central en las tareas del hogar, le animan a participar. Participar en el trabajo de la casa puede aumentar su sentido de la responsabilidad y la satisfacción de formar parte de un grupo social. Su hijo también tiene la oportunidad de valorar los esfuerzos de los demás y esto le servirá de adulto. Al joven aconsejo: Aunque te parezca a veces injusto participar en mantener limpia la casa, lo cierto es que puede tener muchas ventajas. Compartiendo las tareas domésticas aprenderás a adaptarte a situaciones nuevas, como trabajar en equipo o negociar. Todas estas cosas te ayudarán más tarde en la vida laboral. Es bien conocido que las personas que saben hacer algo útil y que pueden cooperar con los demás pueden hallar un trabajo más creativo.
