AC current range is 1000A. To avoid damage to the instrument, do not use the meter to measure the current that might exceed the max. input value. 1. Set the rotary switch to the desired range. If the current to be measured is not known beforehand, set the range switch to the highest range and turn it down range by range till the satisfactory resolution is obtained. If the figure 1 is displayed on the LCD, it indicates that the range has been exceeded and the range switch should be set to higher range. Remove the test leads from the instrument before measuring to avoid electric shock. 2. Press the trigger to open the transformer jaws and clamp onto a conductor. Each time the jaws can only clamp on one conductor. The most accurate reading will be obtained by keeping the conductor at the centre of the transformer jaws. 3. Read the value displayed on the LCD. 4. If it is too dark to read the value on the LCD, press the LIGHT button, and the back-light will be lighten and turned off automatically in 5 seconds. Press it again, the back-light will be turned on again. Do not turn on the back-light if it is not necessary because the power consumption is too much. MEASURING DC CURRENT The max. DC current range is 1000A. To avoid damage to the instrument, do not use the meter to measure the current that might exceed the max. input value. 1. Set the rotary switch to 200A range. Press the ZERO button for several seconds until the display appears Set the rotary switch to the desired range.

5 a. If the current to be measured is not known beforehand, set the range switch to the highest range and turn it down range by range till the satisfactory resolution is obtained. b. If the figure 1 is displayed on the LCD, it indicates that the range has been exceeded and the range switch should be set to higher range. c. Remove the test leads from the instrument before measuring to avoid electric shock. 3. Press the trigger to open the transformer jaws and clamp onto a conductor. a. Each time the jaws can only clamp on one conductor. b. The most accurate reading will be obtained by keeping the conductor at the centre of the transformer jaws. 4. Read the value displayed on the LCD. MEASURING AC VOLTAGE The max. AC voltage range is 750A. To avoid electric shock or damage to the instrument, do not use the meter to measure the current that might exceed the max. input value. 1. Connect the black test lead to the COM jack and the red test lead to the V jack. 2. Set the rotary switch to range 3. Connect the test leads across the source or load to be measured. 4. Read the voltage value displayed on the LCD. MEASURING DC VOLTAGE The max. DC voltage range is 1000A. To avoid electric shock or damage to the instrument, do not use the meter to measure the current that might exceed the max. input value. 1. 6 4. Read the voltage value displayed on the LCD along with the polarity of the red test lead. MEASURING RESISTANCE a. If the resistance to be measured is connected to a circuit, turn off the power to the circuit and discharge all capacitors before measuring. b. Do not use the instrument to measure voltage when the rotary switch is set to the resistance range, otherwise, the built-in circuit will be damaged. 1. Connect the black test lead to COM jack and the red test lead to the Ω Hz ºC jack. 2. Set the rotary switch to the Ω range. 3. Connect the test leads to two terminal of the circuit to be tested. 4. Read the value displayed on the LCD. If the circuit has been opened or the resistance value is over range, the figure 1 will be displayed on the LCD. MEASURING FOR CONTINUITY a. If the object to be measured is connected to a circuit, turn off the power to the circuit and discharge all capacitors before measuring. b. Do not use the instrument to measure voltage when the rotary switch is set to the continuity test range, otherwise, the built-in circuit will be damaged. 1. Connect the black test lead lead to COM jack and the red test lead to the Ω Hz ºC jack. 2. Set the rotary switch to the Ω range. 3. Connect the test leads to two terminal of the circuit to be tested. 4. If the resistance value is less than 30 Ω 10 Ω, the built-in buzzer will sound. MEASURING FREQUENCY 1. Connect the black test lead lead to COM jack and the red test lead to the Ω Hz ºC jack.

7 2. Set the rotary switch to the Hz range. 3. Connect the red and the black test leads to the circuit to be tested. 4. Read the value displayed on the LCD. MEASURING TEMEPERATURE 1. Set the rotary switch to the TEMP range and the current room temperature will be displayed on the LCD with the character. 2. Connect the K type thermocouple to the Ω Hz ºC and COM jacks. 3. Contact the object to be measured with the thermocouple carefully. 4. Read the value displayed on the LCD. When the thermocouple is not inserted or disconnected, the temperature is the current room temperature. TESTING DIODE 1. Connect the black test lead to COM jack and the red test lead to the Ω Hz ºC jack. 2. Set the rotary switch to the range. 3. Connect the red test lead to the anode of the diode to be tested and the black test lead to the cathode of the diode. 4. The approx. forward voltage drop of the diode will be displayed on the LCD. BATTERY REPLACEMENT a. If the symbol appears on the LCD, it indicates that the battery should be replaced. b. Before opening the case, always be sure that the test leads have been disconnected from the measurement circuits. 1. To replace battery, remove the two screws in the bottom of the case. Simply remove the old one, and replace with a new own of the same ratings (9V). 2. Close the case and tighten the screws completely before using the meter to avoid electrical shock.

Para evitar daños en el aparato, no utilizar la pinza para medir la corriente que exceda el máximo valor de entrada. 1. Colocar la ruleta de funciones en el rango deseado. Si la corriente a medir no está por debajo de la corriente establecida, seleccionar un rango mayor y bajar rango a rango hasta encontrar la resolución deseada. Si se visualiza en pantalla 1, esto indica que el rango está siendo excedido y la ruleta deberá estar colocada en el rango más alto. Quitar los terminales de la pinza para evitar daños eléctricos. 2. Pulsar el disparador para abrir la pinza transformadora y colocar la pinza en el conductor. Las pinzas solamente pueden ser utilizadas en un solo conductor. La lectura de mejor precisión deberá obtenerse colocando el conductor en el centro de la pinza. 3. Leer el valor visualizado en la pantalla. Si está demasiado oscuro para leer el valor de la pantalla, pulsar el botón de la luz para que la luz trasera se encienda automáticamente y se apague a los 5 segundos. No utilizar la luz trasera si no es necesario ya que consume demasiada batería. MEDIDA DE CORRIENTE DC El máximo rango de corriente es 1000A. Para evitar daños en el aparato, no utilizar la pinza para medir la corriente que exceda el máximo valor de entrada. 1. Colocar la ruleta en el rango 200A. Pulsar el botón ZERO durante unos segundos hasta que se visualice en pantalla 00.0

11 2. Colocar la ruleta en el rango deseado. Si la corriente a medir está por encima de la corriente establecida, seleccionar un rango mayor y bajar rango a rango hasta encontrar la resolución deseada. Si se visualiza en pantalla 1, esto indica que el rango está siendo excedido y la ruleta deberá estar colocada en el rango más alto. Quitar los terminales de la pinza para evitar shock eléctrico. 3. Pulsar el disparador para abrir la pinza transformadora y colocar la pinza en el conductor. Cada vez, las pinzas solamente pueden ser utilizadas en un solo conductor. La lectura de mejor precisión deberá obtenerse colocando el conductor en el centro de la pinza. 4. Leer el valor visualizado en la pantalla. MEDIDA DEL VOLTAJE AC El máximo rango de voltaje AC es 750A. Para evitar daños en el aparato, no utilizar la pinza para medir la corriente que exceda el máximo valor de entrada. Conectar el terminal negro en la entrada COM y el rojo en la entrada V. Colocar la ruleta en el rango. Conectar los terminales alrededor de la carga a medir. Lectura del voltaje en pantalla. 12 MEDIDA DE RESISTENCIA Si la resistencia a medir esta conectada al circuito, quitar la batería y descargar todos los condensadores antes de medir. No utilizar la pinza para medir voltajes cuando la ruleta esta cambiando el rango de resistencia, de lo contrario, el circuito puede quedar dañado. 1. Conectar el terminal negro a la entrada COM y el rojo a la entrada Ω Hz ºC. 2. Colocar la ruleta en el rango Ω. 3. Conectar las sondas de testeo a los terminales del circuito a testear. 4. Lectura de los valores en pantalla. Si el circuito esta abierto o el valor de resistencia esta sobrevaluado, el valor 1 se visualizará en pantalla. MEDIDA LA CONTINUIDAD Si el objeto a medir, esta conectado al circuito, quitar las baterías y descargar todos los condensadores antes de realizar la medida. No utilizar la pinza para medir voltajes cuando la ruleta esta cambiando el rango de resistencia, de lo contrario, el circuito puede quedar dañado. 1. Conectar el terminal negro a la entrada COM y el rojo a la entrada Ω Hz ºC. 2. Colocar la ruleta en el rango. 3. Conectar las sondas de testeo a los terminales del circuito a testear. 4. Si el valor de la resistencia es menor a 30 Ω ±10 Ω, el timbre sonará. MEDIDA DE FRECUENCIA 1. Conectar el terminal negro a la entrada COM y el rojo a la entrada Ω Hz ºC. 2. Colocar la ruleta en el rango Hz. 3. Conectar las sondas de testeo a los terminales del circuito a testear. 4. Lectura del valor de pantalla.

13 MEDIDA DE TEMPERATURA 1. Colocar la ruleta en el rango TEMP y la temperatura del lugar se visualizará en pantalla. 2. Conectar el termopar K a las entradas Ω Hz ºC y COM. 3. Conectar el objeto al termopar. 4. Lectura del valor visualizado en pantalla. Cuando el termopar no está insertado o conectado, la temperatura es la corriente del lugar. DIODO DE TESTEO 1. Conectar el terminal negro a la entrada COM y el rojo a la entrada Ω Hz ºC. 2. Colocar la ruleta en el rango. 3. Conectar el terminal rojo al anodo a testear y el negro al catodo. 4. El voltaje deberá visualizarse en pantalla. REEMPLAZAMIENTO LAS BATERÍAS Si el símbolo aparece visualizado en pantalla, indica que la batería debe ser reemplazada. Antes de abrir la carcasa, siempre hay que asegurarse de que las sondas de testeo estén desconectadas del circuito de medida. 1. Para reemplazar la batería, quitar los dos tornillos de la parte inferior de la carcasa. Quitar las baterías agotadas e inserter las nuevas (9V). 2. Cerrar la carcasa y atornillar la carcasa correctamente para evitar cualquier daño eléctrico.
