2 Las lecciones de hoy Entender que la mayoría de personas no son agradecidas. Understand that the majority of people are ungrateful. Ser agradecido es RECONOCER Y DECLARAR que todo lo bueno viene de Dios. To be grateful is to RECOGNIZE AND ACKNOWLEDGE that all good things come from God. Al ser una persona agradecida, tengo una conexión especial con Dios y por ende recibo bendiciones especiales de Él. When I am grateful, I have a special connection with God, and as a result I receive special blessings from Him.

3 Lucas 17: Aconteció que mientras Jesús iba camino a Jerusalén, pasaba entre Samaria y Galilea, 12 y al entrar en cierta aldea, Le salieron al encuentro diez hombres leprosos, que se pararon a distancia, 13 y gritaron: " Jesús, Maestro! Ten misericordia de nosotros!" 14 Cuando El los vio, les dijo: "Vayan y muéstrense a los sacerdotes." Y sucedió que mientras iban, quedaron limpios. 15 Entonces uno de ellos, al ver que había sido sanado, se volvió glorificando a Dios en alta voz. 16 Cayó sobre su rostro a los pies de Jesús, y Le dio gracias; y éste era Samaritano. 17Jesús le preguntó: " No fueron diez los que quedaron limpios? Y los otros nueve, dónde están? 18 No hubo ninguno que regresara a dar gloria a Dios, excepto este extranjero?" 19 Entonces le dijo: "Levántate y vete; tu fe te ha sanado."

4 Luke 17: On the way to Jerusalem he was passing along between Samaria and Galilee. 12And as he entered a village, he was met by ten lepers, who stood at a distance 13and lifted up their voices, saying, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. 14When he saw them he said to them, Go and show yourselves to the priests. And as they went they were cleansed. 15Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice; 16and he fell on his face at Jesus feet, giving him thanks. Now he was a Samaritan. 17Then Jesus answered, Were not ten cleansed? Where are the nine? 18Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner? 19And he said to him, Rise and go your way; your faith has made you well.

7 Lo que significa ser leproso Aparte de lo más obvio, el efecto físico de la enfermedad, hay otras consecuencias más serias. Beyond the obvious, the physical effect of the disease, there are other more serious consequences. La pérdida de las relaciones con las personas más cercanas y queridas. The loss of relationship with the closest and most loved people. El aislamiento de la sociedad. Isolation from society. Y en el primer siglo: no había manera de curar la enfermedad. And in the first century: there was no cure for the disease.

8 Contexto de Lucas 17: :1-2 En lugar de ser un tropiezo a los que quieren seguir a Jesús uno debe servir como una persona que anima. Instead of being a stumbling block to someone who wants to follow Jesus, one should be en encourager. 17:3-4 La importancia de la exhortación y el perdón. The importance of exhortation and forgiveness. 17:5-10 El escuchar esto, los discípulos claman: Auméntanos la fe! Jesús procede a enseñarles que la obediencia es el acto de fe más poderoso. Upon hearing this, the disciples cry out: Increase our faith! Jesus proceeds to teach them that the greatest act of faith is obedience.

9 Las lecciones de Lucas 17:11-19 Jesús tienen compasión por los necesitados. Jesus has compassion for those in need. (12-14) Jesús tiene el poder para proveer. Jesus has the power to provide. (14) Ser agradecido es dar gloria a Dios. To be grateful is to give glory to God. (15-18) Otra dimensión de fe es de ser agradecido. Another dimension of faith is to be grateful. (16-19). El agradecimiento es una expresión de fe que te conecta con Dios de manera especial. Thanksgiving is an expression of faith that connects you with God in a special way. (18-19)

11 Conclusión Confiar en Dios signfica obedecerle y ser agradecido por todo lo bueno que viene a mi vida. To trust in God means to obey Him and to be grateful for everything good that comes my way. Salgamos de este lugar diferentes a la mayoría de las personas: seamos obedientes, y seamos agradecidos! Let us leave this place being different than the majority of people: let s be obedient, and let s be grateful!
