Pick up Car riders will be picked up through the staff parking lot by the gym. *Only parents of front door walkers may pick up students at music door entrance (front side door). Parents MAY NOT park cars and walk to pick up students. Please be respectful of our neighbor s property. Thank you for your cooperation.
2 Dress Code: Top: Any color polo type shirt, must have collar Bottom: Khaki, black, or navy pants, skirts or jumpers Additional requirements: They should NOT have a logo. Belts MUST be worn with bottoms that have belt loops. Belt loops must not be cut off. Skirts and shorts must be long enough to pass the fingertips when arms are down by the side. All shoes MUST have a back. Sweaters, wind jackets, jackets MUST be a solid color with NO designs or logos. No hair designs of various cuts or colors (ex: mohawks, dyed hair color, shaved designs) Boys may not wear earrings. Spirit Day s: Spirit Day will be every Friday. Students may wear jeans or jean skirts with a spirit shirt or uniform top Breakfast: Served from 7:00 7:35 a.m. Breakfast is free of charge for all students, all year long. 3 Attendance In order to receive credit in class, students must be in attendance for at least 90% of the days the class attendance is offered. When returning to school after an absence, a student must bring a note signed by the parent that describes the reason for the absence. Excused absences may include: Ø Personal illness Ø Death or illness in the family Ø Quarantine Ø Weather or road conditions making travel dangerous Ø A required court appearance Ø Religious holy days Ø Doctor appointment A note from the parent and/or guardian explaining the nature of the absence must be submitted no later than three (3) school days after the student s absence and must include specific information as to the nature of the absence. Information required: 1. Name of Student 2. Teacher s name 3. Date(s) absence(s) 4. Specific reason for absences(s) 5. Signature of parent/guardian 6. Phone number of parent/guardian 7. Date Warning Notice for Unexcused Absences If your son/daughter has more than one unexcused absence, the following procedures will be taken in order to improve your child s attendance. 1. (2 nd unexcused absence)- Teacher phone call 2. (3 rd unexcused absence)- District Attorney Letter 3. (6 th unexcused absence)- Parent/teacher/Assistant Principal conference 4. (8 th unexcused absence)- Constable Visit 5. (10 th unexcused absence)- File Truancy charges Tardies Students who are tardy must go directly to the office for a tardy slip. Students are tardy to school if they are not in their classroom when the bell rings at 7:50 a.m. Excessive tardies will result in a written notification warning letter followed by deputy home visit.

5 Código de Vestuario (uniforme) Parte superior: Camiseta tipo polo de cualquier color, deberá tener cuello. Parte inferior: Pantalón, faldas, jumpers color caqui, negro, o azul marino. Requerimientos adicionales: Las camisetas deberán estar fajadas. NO deberán tener logotipos. Si el pantalón o la falda tienen presilla, deberán ser usados con cinturón. No deberán ser cortadas las presillas. Las faldas y bermudas deberán ser lo suficientemente largas para que pasen la punta de los dedos cuando los brazos están a un costado del cuerpo. Todos los zapatos DEBERÁN ser cerrados. Los suéteres y chaquetas deben ser un solo color sólido sin diseños ni logotipos. No serán permitidos los diseños en los cortes de cabello, ni el cabello pintado (ejemplo: mohawks, pintarse el pelo de diferentes colores, cabeza rapada y/o con diseños). 6 Asistencia Para recibir crédito en una clase, los estudiantes deben estar presentes por lo menos 90% de los días que ofrecen las clases. Al regresar a la escuela después de una ausencia, un estudiante debe traer una nota firmada por el padre la cual describa la razón de la ausencia. La información que debe incluir la nota es la siguiente: 1. Nombre del estudiante 2. Nombre del maestro(a) 3. Fecha(s) de la(s) ausencia(s) 4. Razón específica de la(s) ausencia(s) 5. Firma del padre/tutor 6. Número del teléfono de la casa o del trabajo del padre/tutor; y 7. Fecha del día en que la nota fue escrita Advertencia sobre Ausencias Injustificadas Si su hijo/hija tiene más de una ausencia injustificada, se tomarán los siguientes procedimientos con el fin de mejorar la asistencia de su hijo(a). 1. Segunda ausencia injustificada Llamada telefónica del maestro(a) 2. Tercera ausencia injustificada Carta del fiscal del distrito 3. Sexta ausencia injustificada Conferencia con los padres/maestro/sub-directora 4. Octava ausencia injustificada Visita del Oficial Distrital de Ausencias 5. Décima ausencia injustificada Cargos legales por Ausentismo Los estudiantes que lleguen tarde a clases Los estudiantes que llegan tarde deben ir directamente a la oficina por un pase de llegada tarde. Los estudiantes llegan tarde a la escuela si no están en su salón de clases cuando suena la campana a las 7:50 a.m. El tener retardos exceso implicara recibir una notificación de advertencia por escrito y la visita de las autoridades pertinentes a su casa.
