The past September 16, Rev. Bruce Lewandowski, Sr. Linda Lukiewski, S.S.J., Sr. Rose Patrice, I.H.M., and other persons that advocate for the migrants rights gathered together on the parking lot of Home Depot, on Roosevelt Avenue, to support the undocumented laborers that are being pressured by the company to leave the place. They come every morning to the parking lot just with the hope of finding work so that they and their families can have food on the table. Linda Lukiewski, la Hna Rose Patrice y otras personas que defienden los derechos de los inmigrantes, se reunieron en el estacionamiento de Home Depot, en la avenida Roosevelt, para apoyar a los jornaleros indocumentados que están siendo presionados por la compañía para abandonar el lugar. Ellos vienen todas las mañanas al estacionamiento sólo con la esperanza de encontrar trabajo para que ellos y sus familias puedan tener comida en la mesa.

5 RETREATS AND EVENTS / RETIROS Y EVENTOS Last month, the Catechists assisting in the formation of the Catholic faith, in English and Spanish, at the Cathedral Basilica of SS Peter & Paul, were blessed and received recognition for the valuable work they do of teaching others the Faith of the Church. On behalf of the Office for Hispanic Catholics, we want to express our gratitude to Sr. Silvia Robalino and to the Catechists Spanish speaking team that faithfully serves the community and the Catholic Church.
