1 2008 6v6 Copa Univision Rules 1. Age and Eligibility A. Participation in Copa Univision is open to accept teams composed of a maximum of ten (10) or a minimum of six (6) players meeting the age limit of the specified age division. Players must have been born during or subsequent to the divisional year. Each team must be registered with a national state association affiliated with the USYSA/USSF and must present a valid state/provincial roster. Laminated player registration cards only authorized by State/provincial or National Association will be required as proof of age. Team rosters must be present at the field for the duration of the game. B. Ten (10) loan players will be allowed. Loan players must be listed on team application roster at check-in time. Loan players must be current USYSA/USSF players can only play for one team in the tournament. No player addition will be allowed after team check-in. C. Age group ( Cal South Age Matrix) are as follows: Born on or after U18 (8/1/89) U17 (8/1/90) U16 (8/1/91) U15 (8/1/92) U14 (8/1/93) U13 (8/1/94) U12 (8/1/95) U11 (8/1/96) U10 (8/1/97) U09 (8/1/98) 2. Laws of the Game All the games shall be played in accordance with FIFA laws except for those specific rules that have been modified to accommodate the 6v6 structure. 3. Fields and Game Equipment A. The games will be played on small sided fields. No offside calls. B. Players (including the goal keeper) must wear numbers on the back of their uniforms and these numbers will coincide with those listed on the team s tournament roster. C. PLAYERS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR SHINGUARDS IN ACCORDANCE WITH FIFA LAWS OF THE GAME. NO JEWELRY MAY BE WORN. D. When uniform colors are similar, the home team will change colors. Home team has choice of sideline and no two teams will play from the same side of the field. Home team is listed first on the schedule.

2 E. It will be at the referee s discretion to determine the safety and suitability of player equipment including the wearing of a brace. Hard cast will not be permissible and soft cast are up to the discretion of the referee. F. The home team will kickoff for the 1 st half. The visitors will kickoff the second half. The visitors will pick a side to defend before the beginning of the game. 4. Duration of the game A. All round-robin games will be played under 2 x 20 minute halves with a 5 minute half time. There will be no overtime during round-robin play. A preliminary game can end in a tie. Play-off games ending in a tie will be decided with penalty kicks with no overtime. The final will be disputed under 2 x 25 minute halves, except U9 and U10 which will be 2 x 20 minute halves. In case of a tie, we will go straight to penalty kicks. 5. Game Check-In A. Teams must check-in within ten minutes prior to the start of their first game. Failure to do so can result in forfeit. Referee will check player identity cards (or equivalent) and players equipment prior to each game. B. Failure to have minimum of (4) players within 5 minutes of the scheduled game time constitutes a 0-1 forfeit. C. Any team caught playing with an ineligible player will forfeit the match Substitutions A. Substitutions shall be free and unlimited. Players must enter from the center of the field. Substitutions may be made without the consent of the referee as long as there is no extra player advantage on the field. 7. Competition Format Teams will play a minimum of three (3) games in the round robin phase. Playoffs and finals will be for only the teams that qualify. The following points system will be awarded in the preliminary games: Three (3) points for each win. One (1) points for each tie. Zero (0) points for each loss. If teams are tied after preliminary games, the following tie-breaking system will be used to determine the finalist: 1) Goal Difference 2) Goals Scored 3) Most Shut Outs 4) Least Number of Red Cards 5) Penalty Kicks

3 8. Conduct and Discipline A. Coaches have total responsibility for the conduct of their players, bench, and spectators at all times. B. If referee must terminate a game for misconduct of players, bench, or spectators, the offending team will forfeit the game. At the Tournament Director s discretion, the offending player and/or team may be banned from further participation. C. Alcoholic beverages are NOT permitted at game sites. NO smoking, No foul and abusive language. D. Yellow and red card penalties will follow FIFA rules unless indicated otherwise. Coaches and players ejected will be suspended for the next match as a minimum. The tournament director will review all ejections and determine all disciplinary action. E. Red Cards A player s first red card will result with immediate ejection from the game and will have to leave the playing and bench area. The player will also be suspended for their teams following match. A player receiving two red cards during the tournament will be suspended for the remainder of the tournament. 9. Forfeits A team will forfeit if any of the following exists: Teams fail to check-in at the required place and time. Teams fail to produce laminated player passes or coach s passes. Team fails to check-in with the referee before their first game Teams fail to report to the field with the minimum amount of players within five minutes before game time as prescribed by the rules. Coach gets ejected and fails to leave the field. Coach gets ejected and no other coach or administrator is available. Game is suspended due to the misconduct of players, coaches, administrators, parents, or spectators. 10. No Protests Permitted 11. Inclement Weather or Unexpected Termination of Play Regardless of weather conditions, coaches, players and their teams must appear on the field of play as scheduled, ready to play unless notified by a member of the tournament committee. Failure to appear will result in forfeiture of the match. Only the referee or the tournament director may cancel a match due to weather conditions. In the event of inclement weather, the tournament director has the authority to reschedule matches or cancel the tournament.

4 In the event of inclement weather, which the Tournament Committee deems being unsafe for the players and/or the fields for competition to continue; or the unexpected termination of the match, the following system of determining a winner will be implemented: Matches that have complete at least half of the match will have the score stand. Matches that are in the first half of play will be deemed to not have been played. Matches for a given day may be postponed and played the following day if fields are available. Matches may be shortened in order to play all assigned matches. If unexpected termination of play is due to the misconduct of one of both teams, then the offending team(s) will not benefit from the termination. If a semifinal match cannot be begin, penalty kicks will be taken from the penalty mark. If penalties cannot occur then the match will be decided by the flip of the coin. If the championship game cannot be played the teams will become Co-Champions.

Participación en la Copa Univision está abierta a aceptar equipos compuestos de un máximo de diez (10) o un mínimo de seis (6) jugadores con la edad límite de la división especificada. Los jugadores habían deber nacido durante o subsecuente al año divisional. Cada equipo debe ser registrado con una asociación estatal nacional afiliada con USYSA y debe presentar una lista estatal. Leyes del Juego Todos los juegos serán jugados en acuerdo con las leyes de FIFA excepto aquellas reglas específicas que han sido modificadas para acomodar la estructura 6v6. 3. Terreno de Juego y Equipo de Juego A. Los partidos serán jugados en un campos cortos sin fuera de lugar. B. Los jugadores (incluyendo el portero) deben tener números en los uniformes y estos números deben coincidir con aquellos en la lista del equipo. C. LOS JUGADORES SON REQUERIDOS A USAR ESPINILLERAS EN ACUERDO CON LAS LEYES DEL JUEGO DE FIFA. NO SE PUEDE USAR JOYERIA. D. Cuando los colores de los uniformes son similares, el equipo de casa se cambiara de colores. El equipo de casa escogen la línea ninguno de dos equipos jugarán del mismo lado del campo. El equipo de casa están alistados primeros en el horario.

Va ser a la discreción del árbitro en determinar la seguridad y adaptabilidad del equipaje del jugador, incluyendo soportes de rodilla, tobillos, etc., Las enyesaduras duras no serán permitidos y enyesaduras blandas son permitidas a la discreción del árbitro. F. El equipo de casa va dar la patada inicial en el primer tiempo. Los visitantes tendrán la patada inicial en el segundo tiempo. Los visitantes escogerán que lado quieren defender en el principio del partido. 4. Duración del Partido A. Todos los partidos de la primera fase van a ser jugados bajo dos mitades de 20 minutos. El descanso de miedo tiempo será de 5 minutos. Un juego preliminar puede terminar en un empate. Los partidos de liguilla empatados serán decididos en penales sin tiempo extra. La final va ser disputada bajo dos mitades de 25 minutos, excepto los equipos de Sub-9 y Sub-10 (20 minutos). En caso de un empate iríamos directamente a los tiros penales. 5. Registro de Juego A. Los equipos deben estar en presentarse entre diez minutos antes del comienzo del primer partido. El negarse en presentarse puede resultar en una pérdida del partido. El árbitro chequeara las tarjetas de jugadores (o el equivalente) y el equipaje de los jugadores antes de cada partido.. B. Cualquier equipo que atrase el comienzo del partido por más de cinco (5) minutos, por no tener el mínimo de cuatro (4) jugadores, anulará el partido a favor del oponente por un resultado de 1-0. C. Cualquier equipo jugando con un jugador inelegible perderá el partido Sustituciones A. Las sustituciones serán abiertas y sin límite. Los jugadores deben entrar del centro del campo. Las sustituciones se pueden ser sin el consentimiento del árbitro siempre y cuando no exista ventaja de en el campo. 7. Formato de Competición Los equipos jugarán un mínimo de tres (3) partidos en la fase preliminar. La liguilla y las finales serán para los equipos que califiquen. El siguiente sistema de puntos será premiado en los juegos preliminares: Tres (3) puntos para cada victoria. Un (1) punto para cada empate. Cero (0) puntos para cada perdida. Si los equipos están empatados después de los partidos preliminares, el siguiente sistema de desempates va ser usado para determinar el finalista: 1) Diferencia de goles 2) Goles a favor 3) Mas victorias sin recibir goles 4) Menos tarjetas rojas 5) Penales

7 8. Conducta y Disciplina A. Los entrenadores tienen toda la responsabilidad de la conducta de sus jugadores, suplentes, y espectadores todo el tiempo. B. Si el árbitro debe terminar un partido por mala conducta de jugadores, los suplentes, o espectadores del equipo ofensor anulara el partido. A la discreción del Director del Torneo, el jugador y/o equipo ofensor pueden ser prohibidos de seguir su participación en el torneo. C. Bebidas alcohólicas NO SON permitidas en sitio de los partidos. NO fumar, NO lenguaje asqueroso y abusivo. D. Castigos de tarjetas amarillas y rojas seguirán las leyes de la FIFA al menos indicado de otra manera. Los entrenadores y jugadores expulsados serán suspendidos para el próximo partido como castigo mínimo. El Director del Torneo revisara todas las expulsiones y determinara toda acción disciplinaria. E. Tarjetas Rojas La primera tarjeta roja de un jugador resultará en expulsión inmediata del partido y tendrá que dejar el campo y la área de la banca. El jugador también será suspendido para el próximo juego de su equipo. Un jugador recibiendo dos tarjetas rojas durante el torneo será suspendido para el resto del torneo. 9. Anulaciones Un equipo anulará si cualquiera de lo siguiente existe: Equipos no se registran en su debido lugar y tiempo. Equipos que no presentan los pases de jugadores y entrenadores. Equipos que no se registran con el árbitro antes del comienzo de su primer partido. Equipos que no se reportan en el campo con la mínima cantidad de jugadores y atrasan el partido por más de cinco (5) minutos del tiempo que el partido está programado. El entrenador es expulsado y no abandona el terreno de juego. El entrenador es expulsado y no hay otro entrenador o administrado disponible. El juego es suspendido por la mala conducta de los jugadores, entrenadores, administradores, o espectadores. 10. Las Protestas No Serán Permitidas 11. INCLIMENTO DEL CLIMA O TERMINACION DE PARTIDOS INESPERADO A pesar las condiciones del clima, los entrenadores, jugadores y sus equipos deben estar en el terreno de juego como está programado, listos para jugar al menos de ser notificados por un miembro del comité del torneo. El no aparecer resultará en anulación del partido. Solo el árbitro o Director del Torneo pueden cancelar un partido debido a condiciones del clima. En el evento del tiempo inclemente, el Director del Torneo tiene la autoridad de reprogramar o cancelar el torneo.

8 En el evento del tiempo inclemente, en cual el Comité del Torneo juzgue como inseguro para los jugadores y/o los terrenos de juego para continuar; o la inesperada terminación del partido, el siguiente sistema para determinar un ganador será implementado: Partidos que han completado por lo menos la mitad del partido mantendrán el resultado. Partidos que están en el primer tiempo serán consideradas como si no fueran jugadas. Partidos pueden ser pospuestos y jugados el próximo día si hay campos disponibles. Partidos pueden ser cortados para poder jugar todos los partidos asignados. Si terminación del partido inesperado es a falta de la mala conducta de los dos equipos, ambos equipos no beneficiaran de la terminación. Si en la semifinal no puede comenzar, usaran los penales. Si los penales no pueden ser utilizados el partido va ser determinado por un volado. Si el partido de campeonato no se puede jugar ambos equipos serán Co-Campeones.
