4 RULES AND REGULATIONS ARRIVING WITH LAN (SA1) / ARRIVING WITH OTHERS (SA2) 1. APPLICATION Trips within South America on flights operated by LAN Airlines (LA), LAN Express (LU), LAN Ecuador (XL), LAN Peru (LP) y LAN Argentina (4M) and LAN Colombia (4C). 2. ELEGIBILITY The Net Level (SA1) is for NON-residents of South America in possession of an international ticket with arrival or departure segments operated by LU/LA/LP/4M/XL/4C. On flights from Europe, those operated by IB also apply. Also applies to Brazilian residents with a LU/LA/LP/4M/ XL/4C international ticket within South America showing departures from or arrivals to Brazil. The Net Arriving with Other Airlines Level (SA2) is for nonresidents of South America in possession of an international ticket with arrival and/or departure segments operated by any other airline except: TA, AV, UX, AR, CM, DL, S3, NK, 2K, AF, KL. Passengers in possession of an international ticket redeemed outside South America using LANPASS kilometers and arriving in or leaving South America qualify for the South American Airpass. Passengers being compensated also qualify. Passengers with ID/AD tickets do not qualify for the South American Airpass. 3. FARE CHARACTERISTICS Fares are in American dollars (USD). Minimum number of coupons: 1 coupon. Maximum number of coupons: 16 coupons. The same segment cannot be flown more than once in the same direction. Surface permitted. Fares are for individual passengers. For information on group rates, go to any LAN office. Fares are subject to changes without prior warning. South American Airpass fares earn 100% LANPASS KMS. Kilometers for oneworld or affiliated airline frequent flyer programs also earn kilometers (TAM, ALASKA, AEROMEXICO). South American Airpass cannot be purchased/redeemed with km LANPASS. Fuel surcharges are not included. The fuel charges that apply are those valid for the corresponding market on the day of issue and should be included in each coupon. 4. DISCOUNTS Children (CHD): 25% discount, except in reservation classes P and I. Infants (INF): Children under 2 get a 90% discount and are not assigned a seat, except in reservation classes P and I. Senior Citizens: No discount available. Agency Discount (AD): Not allowed. 5. APPLICATION PERIOD: For travel from April 1, 2012 onwards. 6. VALIDITY Maximum stay: 12 months. Ticket validity: 12 months from issue. 7. STOPS AND CONNECTIONS Stopovers are limited according to the total number of coupons. Connections are considered as a single coupon. 8. PROMOTION AND SALES The South American Airpass must be sold outside South America, with the exception of Brazil. 10. PAYMENT AND ISSUE For the Net Level (SA1), a separate ticket must be issued in connection with an international ticket operated by LU/LA/LP/4M/XL/4C or IB with arrival or departure segments in South America. For the Net Level (SA2), a separate ticket must be issued in connection with an international ticket operated by any other airline except TA, AV, UX, AR, CM, DL, S3, NK, 2K, AF, KL. The ticket will reflect endorsements and restrictions in the following box: NON-END / NONREF/CHG FEE APPLIES/ CONX <international tkt no.> Issue with MCO or PTA is not allowed. Must be issued 14 days before departure of the first leg. If the reservation is made in less than 14 days, the issue time is 24 hours. LAN Airlines (LA), LAN Express (LU), LAN Ecuador (XL), LAN Peru (LP), LAN Argentina (4M) and Iberia (IB) reserve the right to modify time limits. 11. TEMPLATE Issue allowed using the LA(045), XL(462), LP(544), 4M(469) or 4C (462) templates according to the country of issue. Other templates are allowed according to the bilateral agreements of the carriers who participate in the routing. 12. TOUR CODE SA1: Net Level. SA2: Net Level. A Tour Code is compulsory for issue. 13. REFUNDS Refunds are allowed before the journey begins, paying a USD 50 charge. This refund does not apply to the international leg arriving or leaving South America. Refunds are allowed after the journey has started, paying a charge equivalent to the difference between the value of the original ticket less the legs already flown and plus the USD 50 charge. 14. DATE AND ROUTE CHANGES Date/flight charges are allowed on the day of travel or before. A USD 50 fee will be charged every time the ticket is changed. For CHD fares, the same discount will apply to the USD 50 fee. If, when changing the date/flight, the original fare is not available, the passenger can purchase a higher fare paying the difference plus the USD 50 fee. For date/flight changes of tickets that have been partially used, the difference between the value of the new ticket less the original ticket will be charged, plus the USD 50 fee. Changes after the day of travel are not allowed. 15. BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE If the passenger arrives in South America with LAN, their luggage allowance will be the same as for their international leg to South America. If the passenger arrives in South America with another airline, their luggage allowance will be the most restrictive considering the international flight on which they arrived in South America and their domestic or regional legs.
