3 INSTRUCCIONES DE SEGURIDAD No toque las superficies calientes. Utilice las manijas o las perillas. Para evitar el riesgo de choque eléctrico no introduzca el cable de poder ni la unidad en agua u otros líquidos. Se requiere estricta supervisión si se encuentran niños cerca. Desconecte el cable de poder cuando no esté utilizando la unidad y antes del limpiarla. Permita que la unidad se enfríe antes de limpiarla. No utilice la unidad si observa que el cable de poder está dañado o la unidad presenta algún tipo de falla. No utilice accesorios que no sean recomendados por el fabricante. La unidad no está diseñada para uso en exteriores. No permita que el cable de poder cuelgue por el borde de la mesa o el mostrador ni que entre en contacto con superficies calientes. No coloque la unidad cerca de fuentes de calor, gas, u horno. Se requiere precaución al manipular recipientes que contienen aceite caliente u otros líquidos. No utilice la unidad para un propósito diferente al que fue diseñada. La unidad no debe ser utilizada por personas con capacidades físicas o mentales reducidas, o niños, sin la supervisión estricta de un adulto. No intente reparar la unidad usted mismo. Remita toda revisión, mantenimiento y reparación a personal de servicio técnico calificado. RECOMENDACIONES Asegúrese de que el voltaje de la unidad corresponde con el del área donde la va a conectar. Recuerde conectar el cable de poder cuando del recipiente no esté en la olla o cuando no esté utilizando la olla. Recuerde que la función mantener tibio funciona cuando el cable está conectado. Coloque el recipiente interior en la olla antes de utilizarla. Gire el recipiente suavemente de derecha a izquierda para ajustarla. Si le resulta difícil presionar el botón para ir a la posición de cocinar, no lo fuerce. Esta dificultad se debe usualmente a que el recipiente está completamente insertado en la olla o cuando el proceso de cocción acaba de terminar. Coloque la tapa en el recipiente mientras cocina. Mantenga la tapa en posición después de servir para evitar que el arroz se seque o se decolore. Mantenga la parte inferior del recipiente y la superficie de la placa de calefacción libres de materiales extraños para evitar fallas en el funcionamiento. P-2

4 MANTENIMIENTO Retire el recipiente interior y la tapa y lávelos con agua caliente y jabonosa, teniendo precaución de enjuagar completamente y luego secar con una prenda suave. Limpie la parte exterior de la olla con una prenda húmeda. No utilice productos abrasivos para limpiar las partes de la olla. Utilice únicamente una prenda suave o una esponja con agua y detergente. No sumerja ninguna parte de la olla en agua. Lave únicamente el recipiente interior y la tapa. Para limpiar la placa de calefacción y la placa de control de temperatura utilice lana de acero para pulir o retirar residuos. Luego pase un paño húmedo. Permita que la unidad se seque completamente antes de volverla a utilizar. Se debe mantener la placa de calefacción y la placa de control de temperatura libres de objetos extraños, para evitar el mal funcionamiento de la unidad. Asegúrese de llevar a cabo una buena limpieza para evitar la formación de malos olores. Cualquier residuo de vinagre o sal puede causar corrosión en la sartén. INSTRUCCIONES DE OPERACIÓN 1. Utilice la taza medidora proporcionada en el empaque para medir y agregar el arroz al recipiente. 2. Utilizando esta taza medidora, agregue agua al arroz en el recipiente teniendo en cuenta la siguiente tabla. Como regla general, se agrega la misma cantidad de agua o un poco más. Conecte el cable de poder sólo cuando esté listo para cocinar para evitar echar a perder el arroz. Si el recipiente no está en la olla, la cocción no comenzará. 5. Presione el botón. El indicador se encenderá para mostrar que el proceso de cocción ha comenzado. 6. Cuando el arroz esté listo, el interruptor saltará. Después de que salte, deja la tapa puesta por 15 minutos para que el vapor cubra el arroz. 7. Al terminar, desconecte el cable de poder. 8. Cuando haga estofado, el nivel de agua no debe ser mayor al 70% del volumen. P-3

9 IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS When using your electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following: 1. Read all instructions carefully. 2. CAUTIONS TO READ BEFORE USING RICE COOKER: 1. Only use this product with the correct AC voltage outlet.(correct rated voltage see box and label at the bottom of rice cooker.) 2. Be sure to unplug AC cord when pan is not in cooker, or when cooker is not being used. Remember the KEEP WARM feature operates whenever the cord is plugged in 3. Place the inner pot inside the cooker before operating. Turn the pot gently to right and left. 4. If the switch button is difficult to press to the cook position, do not try to force it down. 10 usually occurs when inner pot is fully inserted in cooker or when cooking has just finished. 5. Place the lid on your inner pot while cooking, keep the lid in place after serving to prevent your rice from drying out or discoloring. 6. Keep bottom of inner pot and surface of heater plate free of foreign matter to prevent operating malfunctions. MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES 1. Remove inner pot and lid and wash them in hot soapy water, taking care to rinse completely, then dry with a soft cloth. 2. Clean outside of cooker with a clean damp cloth. Never clean any part of the cooker with abrasive cleaner. Use a damp cloth or sponge with water and mild dish detergent. Do not submerge any part of cooker in water. Wash only inner pot and lid. 3. To clean the heating plate and thermo-control plate, use steel wool to polish or remove any residue. Then wipe with a damp cloth. Allow to dry completely before re-using. You must keep the heating plate and thermo-control plate free from any foreign objects, otherwise the cooker will not operate properly. 4. Improper cleaning of cooker may cause unpleasant odors. 5. Any residue to the vinegar or salt may cause pan to corrode. HOW TO USE 1. Using the measuring cup provided in the package, measure and add rice to the inner pot. 2. Set inner pot in cooker. Place rice and water in inner pot. Close the lid firmly. Turn pan gently to right and left. Close the cover firmly. 4. Plug in power cord. Do not plug in until ready to cook. Otherwise, rice may be spoiled. If pot is not in cooker, cooking will not begin. 5. Press switch. cook indicator tells you cooking has started. 6. When rice is done, the switch will pop up. After the switch pops up, leavecovered for at least 15 minutes to steam rice. 7. Unplug after each use. Grasp the plug, not the cord. P-3

11 8. When you stew, the water level should not more than 70% of the volume. 9. Do not attach the ventilating hole for fear scaling. CAUTION BEFORE STARTING TO COOK, CLEAN THE BOTTOM OF THE INNER POT AND THE SURFACE OF THE HEATER PLATE, THEN TURN THE INNER POT CLOCKWISE AND ANTI - CLOCKWISE SO THAT IT SITS PROPERLY ONTO THE HEATER PLATE INSIDE THE RICE COOKER.
