2 BÚSQUEDA DE SOCIOS PROGRAMA EUROPA CON LOS CIUDADANOS ª CONVOCATORIA 2017 Este documento recopila las solicitudes de difusión para la búsqueda de socios que el Punto Europeo de Ciudadanía recibe de las oficinas homólogas ubicadas en los países participantes del Programa Europa con los Ciudadanos. The idea is how to design a project that promotes an intelligent, sustainable and solidarity Europe. A network where the partners can contribute to a continuous exchange of common resolutions for particular needs, highlighting the best practices used locally, transferring them to the entire network. Another purpose will be to create the chances of job interchange among network participants. Students and graduates from Vocational school for tourism and catering, tour operators, in addition to the involvement of schools and organizations involved in tourism in the various territories, will participate in the project.

Democratic engagement and civic participation - Network of towns Deadline September 1, 2017 Organization Name Short description Comunidade Intermunicipal da Região de Coimbra (CIMRC) Intermunicipal Community of Coimbra Region (CIMRC) The CIMRC is a public association of 19 municipalities with the following purposes: Promoting the planning and management of the strategy of economic, social and environmental development of the covered territory; Linking municipal investments of inter-municipal interest; Participating in the management of programmes supporting regional development; Planning the actions of local authorities. In accordance with administrative and statistical terms, the Coimbra Region (NUT III) is located in the Central Region (NUT II) of Portugal. The Coimbra region covers an area of km 2, it comprises the municipalities of Arganil, Cantanhede, Coimbra, Condeixa-a-Nova, Figueira da Foz, Góis, Lousã, Mealhada, Mira, Miranda do Corvo, Montemor-o-Velho, Mortágua, Oliveira do Hospital, Pampilhosa da Serra, Penacova, Penela, Soure, Tábua and Vila Nova de Poiares. In terms of population it is the largest region of the NUT II Central Region, with around inhabitants. It is a pioneer and leading region on the construction of an educational, science and technological system of national reference aiming to increase the innovative, productive and exporting capacity of the business community. The Region is committed with the diversity of identities and ways of life through the enhancement of the endogenous potential, mobility and ensuring equity in the access conditions to employment, health, education and social protection. 5 Project Field(s) Description Partners searched Countries Solidarity in time of crisis; Fostering and mobility of citizens in Europe The project intends to establish a permanent Networks of Towns, between Towns which are twined with at least one of municipalities that compose the CIMRC, with a background of good practices of citizen information and support services in order to promote the fostering and mobility of citizens across the territory. The idea is how to design a project that promotes an intelligent, sustainable and solidary Europe. We aim to establish a network where the partners can contribute to a continuous exchange of common resolutions for particular needs, highlighting the best practices used locally, transferring them to the entire network. Spain, France, Germany and Luxembourg Profile We prefer the participation of towns/municipalities which are twined with at least one of the municipalities that compose the Coimbra Region.
