1 HIGH SCHOOL UNIFORM DRESS CODE In order to improve the school s educational environment, promote a more effective climate for learning, foster school unity and pride, and allow students to focus solely on learning and not on attire, the school has a dress code that applies to all school days and school-sponsored events. REPEATED DISREGARD OF THE DRESS CODE WILL INVOLVE A MEETING WITH THE STUDENT S ADVISOR AND THE STUDENT S FAMILY. UNIFORM TOPS: ALL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS Shirts must be properly fitted; cannot be too tight or too loose. PROFESSIONAL MONDAYS: Light Blue or Yellow Atlas Preparatory Oxford Shirt Oxford shirts must be purchased from Atlas Prep using the Uniform Order Form. Blue stripped or gryphon tie (students must wear either an atlas tie or belt) BUSINESS CASUAL TUESDAY THURSDAY: Royal Blue, Light Blue, Yellow Atlas Polo Shirts must be purchased from Atlas Prep using the Uniform Order Form. NO LONG-SLEEVE SHIRTS MAY BE WORN UNDERNEATH THE POLO SHIRT. GRYPHON GEAR FRIDAYS: Atlas Prep Polo or T-Shirt Shirts must be official Atlas Prep shirts that were either purchased from Atlas Prep using the Uniform Order form or created for a sport/club. OPTIONAL: Atlas Prep Sweatshirts Sweatshirts must be purchased from Atlas Prep using the Uniform order form. Professional Monday: Yellow or Blue Atlas Oxford Shirt Blue stripped /Gryphon tie or belt Khakis with Black or Brown Dress Belt Black or Brown Dress Shoes Atlas Sweat- Tuesday Thursday: Yellow, Royal Blue or Light Blue Atlas Polo or Yellow or Blue Atlas Oxford Jeans (No rips or holes) Black or Brown Canvas/Closed Toe Shoes Black or Brown Belt Atlas Sweater Optional Gryphon Gear Friday: Atlas T-Shirt or Polo Jeans and Belt (no rips or holes) Closed Toe Shoes (tennis or canvas) Atlas Hoodie/Sweater Optional

2 STUDENT UNIFORM DRESS CODE UNIFORM BOTTOMS: ALL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS PROFESSIONAL MONDAYS: Tan, khaki-colored dress pants, without cargo pockets No blue, black or non-khaki colored pants may be worn. No skinny, low-rise, flare, bell-bottom, cargo, wide-legged or overly tight pants are permitted. Khaki-colored dress pants should be straight leg or regular fit, and not made of denim or jean. Khaki-colored dress pants should not be ripped or frayed at the bottom. SKINNY KHAKI PANTS ARE NOT PERMITTED (no stretchy materials; pants must be khaki material). Striped Atlas Belt or Gryphon Belt (students must wear either an Atlas tie or belt). Black or brown dress shoes, loafer or lace-up style NO SNEAKERS OF ANY TYPE including all skate shoes, and all shoes that look like sneakers. Only traditional loafer or lace-up style shoes are permitted. Work boots are not permitted. Open-toed shoes and sandals are not permitted at any point during the year. If you have a question about a new pair of shoes please call the school or bring them by before your student wears them so they may be returned to the store if they do not meet the Atlas Prep Dress Code. 3 STUDENT UNIFORM DRESS CODE MISCELLANEOUS: ALL ATLAS STUDENTS OPTIONAL: Earrings no larger than a dime and watches may be worn at the school s discretion Chains, wrist bands, bracelets, rubber bands, hoop earrings and other forms of jewelry are NOT allowed Hats, head-wraps, bandanas, or kerchiefs are NOT permitted unless it is in accordance with religious observation Dyed hair hairstyles, makeup or piercings that serves as a distraction (at the determination of the school) will not be permitted When students enter the school building, they must be in the proper uniform; they cannot change into the school uniform upon arrival. Students also may not change out of their uniform before dismissal. Doing so will result in a minus five on their paycheck. At all times during the school day, shirts must be tucked in with the collar completely down. If you have any questions about the Uniform Dress Code, please call the school at any time. 5 High School Uniformes y el código de vestir: PARTE DE ABAJO DEL UNIFORME PARA LOS ESTUDIANTES DE HIGH SCHOOL LUNES PROFESIONALES: Pantalones de vestir color caqui o tan, sin bolsillos cargo No se permiten pantalones de color azul o negro. Si no son color caqui no se pueden usar. No se permiten pantalones flacos, No pantalones de baja altura, No flare, cargo, or bell-bottom, No pantalones anchos de las piernas, y pantalones no pueden estar muy apretados. Pantalones de vestir de color caqui deben estar pierna recta o en forma regular, y no hecha de denim o mezclilla. Pantalones de vestir color caqui no deben de estar rasgados, pantalones no deben ser deshilachados en la parte inferior. PANTALONES APRETADOS DE COLOR KHAKI NO SE PERMITEN (no deben ser de materiales elásticos, pantalones deben ser de material de color caqui). Son mandatories los Cinturón Rayado de Atlas o Cinturón de Gryphon (los estudiantes deben usar una corbata de Atlas o el Cinturón de Atlas). Zapatos de vestir negros o marrones, mocasines o con cordones estilo NO ZAPATILLAS DE CUALQUIER TYPO- incluyendo todos los zapatos de skate, y todos los zapatos que parecen zapatillas. Sólo se permiten los zapatos tradicionales o con cordones de estilo. No se permiten botas de trabajo. Zapatos y sandalias de punta abierta no se permiten en cualquier momento durante el año. Cabello tenido, maquillaje o perforaciones que sirvan como una distraccion (es la determinacion de la escuela) no se les permitira Peinados de pelo pintado no se permiten, el maquillaje o piercings faciales que sirve como una distracción (en la determinación de la escuela no son permitidos) Cuando los estudiantes entran al edificio de la escuela, tienen que estar con el uniforme apropiado; En todo momento durante el día escolar, las camisas deben estar por dentro y el cuello completamente abajo. No se podran cambiar el uniforme de la escuela a su llegada. Los estudiantes tampoco puedran cambiarse el uniforme a la hora de la salida. Si lo hacen, se convertira en un menos cinco en su cheque de pago. Si usted tiene alguna pregunta sobre el codigo de vestir, por favor llame a la escuela en cualquier momento.
