1 Presente Progresivo; Gerundio Regular
2 The PRESENT PROGRESSIVE/GERUNDIO describes an action that is in progress, continuing action or something going on now. The PRESENT PROGRESSIVE/GERUNDIO is formed by combining the verb "to be" with the present participle. (The present participle is the "-ing" form of a verb.) The PRESENT PROGRESSIVE/GERUNDIO is never used to indicate a future action.
3 The PRESENT PROGRESSIVE/GERUNDIO uses Estar since the Present Progressive describes a "state" that you are in. Example: Yo estoy cantando.
4 In order to form the Present Progressive/Gerundio, you must know how to conjugate the verb estar, and know how to form the present progressive/gerundio. Estar yo tú él, ella, ud., nosotros vosotros ellos, ellas, uds. estoy estás está estamos estáis están
