El verbo tener Tener is used in several idioms. Conjugate the verb tener and translate the sentences below. 1. I have four cousins. 2. I have to read a book. 3. They have a lot to do. 4. 3 D. Gustar and Encantar Gustar (to be pleasing) and encantar (to be enchanting) are special verbs and are not conjugated using subject pronouns. If what you like or love (like very much) is singular, use gusta or encanta. If what you like or love (like very much) is plural, use gustan or encantan. When gustar and encantar are used to talk about a noun, use the definite article. Two other verbs like gustar are: interesar and aburrir Translate: 1. I like to cook. 2. I love (like a lot) tacos. F. Stem Changing Verbs - El Presente These verbs change in the yo, tú, él, ella, Ud., and ellos, ellas Uds. forms only. They are BOOT verbs. preferir - (e>ie) to empezar - (e>ie) to querer - (e>ie) to perder - (e>ie) to 3. We like soccer. E. El Presente - Yo -go Verbs Write the English translation and conjugate. poner - salir - poder - (o>ue) to dormir - (o>ue) to volver - (o>ue) to jugar - (u>ue) to traer - hacer - Choose the correct form of the stem changing verb. *Also a boot verb (una bota fofa). Los Adjetivos Posesivos Possessive adjectives are used to show possession or ownership and they must agree (match) the person/thing being possessed not with who owns or possesses it: My Mi / Mis Our Your (informal) His Her Your (formal) Tu / Tus Su / Sus Your (informal) Their (fem/masc) 1. Yo tengo libros en clase. Nuestro(a) nuestros(as) Vuestro(a) vuestros(as) Su / Sus 2. Nosotros vamos a casa. 3. Tú tienes pluma. 4. Ellos visitan a primos. 5. Ella da el regalo a madre. 6. Ustedes llegan a casas después de la escuela. 7. Nosotros escribimos a amigas. 8. Los estudiantes comen almuerzos en la cafetería. 9. Nosotros escuchamos a discos compactos. 10. Yo doy la tarea a profesora. I. Ser vs. Estar Both verbs mean. Yet each verb has separate uses.
