2 CONTENTS / SUMARIO International Construction Award / International Transport Award Trofeo Internacional de la Construcción/ Trofeo Internacional del Transporte On May 19th, the award presentation of the International Construction Award and International Transport Award took place at the Madrid based Hotel Meliá Castilla. It was organized by the Global Trade Leaders Club to bring companies from all over the world who work in the construction and transport sectors, together to Madrid to receive these awards. These trophies were created to distinguish and stimulate companies belonging to such important fields of activity. Ambos trofeos se convocan para premiar a las empresas que trabajan en sectores tan estratégicos para la economía de un país como son el transporte y la construcción. 3 International Construction Award International Transport Award MADRID (Spain) Partial view of the hall at the Madrid based Hotel Meliá Castilla where the Prize-giving ceremony took place. n May 19th, the award presentation of the International O Construction Award and International Transport Award took place at the Madrid based Hotel Meliá Castilla. It was organized by the Global Trade Leaders Club to bring companies from all over the world who work in the construction and transport sectors, together to Madrid to receive these awards. The Global Trade Leaders Club wished to recognise the vital importance of the industrial sectors of construction and transport for country s economy. These trophies were created to distinguish and stimulate companies belonging to such important fields of activity. They constitute a symbol at an international level and recognise the quality of the services provided. The Global Trade Leaders Club was the motor of these awards. The ceremony started with a work meeting held in the hotel conference room, during which the awarded companies and the Global Trade Leaders Club were introduced by their representatives, who highlighted both products and services offered by their companies. The Secretary General of the Club gave a brief introduction emphasizing on the reason behind its foundation: to facilitate business relations amongst businessmen from all over the world. He then handed over the award certificate to all attendants as a special distinction to the managing director of each company. All the awardees were then invited to a welcome cocktail, which was followed by a lunch celebration and which took place in an atmosphere of great cordiality. The lunch was presided over by the Secretary General of the Global Trade Leaders Club, who shared the head table with the following authorities and members of the Diplomatic Corps: His Exc. Al Harthi, Charge D Affaires of the Oman Embassy; Mr. Julio Garcia Jarpa, Minister Counsellor of the Embassy of the Bolivarian Rep. of Venezuela; Sr. D. Alfonso Vegara, Honorary Consul of Singapore; Mrs. Zdenka Kostik Subrava, 1st Secretary for Economic and Politics Affaires of Rep. Checa; Mrs. Dina Melihi, Commercial Counsellor of Morocco; Mr. Ahmad Amiri Bin Abubakar, Commercial Counsellor of Malasia; Mr. Alfredo Samayoa, Commercial Counsellor of the El Salvador; Mr. Dimitar Blazevski, Commercial Attache de Macedonia; Mr. Cezar- Flavian Patriche, Commercial Counsellor of Romania;. After the lunch, the awards forewords were read, and the representatives of the awarded companies were called out to receive their trophies. More than thirty companies from different countries had proved their quality and hard work (factors on which both these distinctions were based) and were awarded with the International Construction Award and International Transport Award. The Secretary General of the Club concluded the prize presentation with a few words of congratulation to all the awardees and encouraged them to continue their effort in favour of such important fields for the economy of their respective countries. His words closed this successful edition of the International Transport Award and International Construction Award presentation.

5 Trofeo Internacional de la Construcción Trofeo Internacional del Transporte El pasado 19 de mayo tuvo lugar en el Hotel Meliá Castilla de Madrid la entrega del Trofeo Internacional del Transporte y del Trofeo Internacional de la Construcción. Ambos trofeos se convocan para premiar a las empresas que trabajan en sectores tan estratégicos para la economía de un país como son el transporte y la construcción. El Global Trade Leaders Club no podía dejar de reconocer la vital importancia de unas empresas que contribuyen en gran medida al desarrollo económico de sus respectivos países. Los trofeos han sido creados para prestigiar propagar y estimular a las empresas que pertenecen a estos sectores. Ambos premios se han constituido ya en todo un símbolo internacional de reconocimiento de la calidad de los servicios de quienes se han hecho acreedores del mismo. El Global Trade Leaders Club ha creado estos premios para ser otorgado anualmente a las empresas que destaquen dentro del sector del transporte y la construcción. Los actos programados con motivo de la presentación de los trofeos comenzaron el día 19 por la mañana con una reunión de trabajo en la que tuvo lugar la presentación de las empresas galardonadas a cargo de sus representantes que destacaron brevemente sus actividades más importantes. El Secretario General, hizo una breve introducción del Global Trade Leaders Club, resaltando que el objetivo principal con el que este ha sido creado es el de facilitar las relaciones comerciales entre empresarios de todo el mundo. Concluido su discurso, entregó el certificado que acredita esta distinción a las firmas premiadas. Concluida la presentación de empresas y la entrega de diplomas, todos los galardonados estaban convocados a un cóctel de bienvenida que transcurrió en un ambiente relajado y cordial y dio paso al almuerzo que estuvo presidido por el Secretario General del Club y las autoridades de ambos sectores, construcción y transporte así como los miembros del cuerpo diplomático de los países de las empresas premiadas. Entre ellos se encontraban: Excmo. Sr. D. Jose Atilio Benítez, Embajador de El Salvador; Sr. D. Al Abbas Ibrahim H. Al Harthi, Encargado de Negocios de la Embajada De Oman; Sr. D. Julio García Jarpa, Ministro Consejero de La Embajada de la Rep. Bolivariana de Venezuela; Sr. D. Alfonso Vegara, Cónsul Honorario De Singapur; Sra. Dª Zdenka Kostik Subrova, Primer Secretario de Asuntos Económicos Y Politicos De La Rep. Checa; Sra. Dª Dina Melihi, Consejero Económico de la Embajada de Marruecos; Sr. D. Ahmad Amiri Bin Abubakar, Consejero Económico de Malasia; Sr. D. Alfredo Samayoa, Consejero Economico de la Embajada de El Salvador; Sr. D. Dimitar Blazevski, Agregado Comercial de Macedonia; Sr. D. Cezar- Flavian Patriche, Consejero Comercial de Rumania. Finalizado el almuerzo, se procedió a la lectura del pregón y a la entrega del Trofeo Internacional de la Construcción a más de cuarenta empresas de distintos países que se habían hecho merecedoras del mismo y posteriormente a la entrega del Trofeo Internacional del Transporte a las empresas que en esta edición han sido premiadas con el galardón. El Secretario General del Club cerró el acto con un breve discurso de felicitación a las empresas premiadas y agradeció a las autoridades y miembros del cuerpo diplomático su presencia y colaboración en el acto de presentación de los trofeos.
