Individual Component Installation 1) INSTALLING STANDARD CAMERA Caution to install COLOR CCD CAMERA outdoors 1. LVC-CY100NM/NP is designed to be protected from water drops which are falling on the upper side of the camera in a range of 15. (water protection level: IPX2) Therefore, be sure to install it in a location which is fit for the above condition when you install it outdoors. STANDARD CAMERA can be attached to the wall, ceiling or shelf using the camera mount bracket. Choose an installation site that can sufficiently support the weight of the equipment to be installed. Attach the camera mount bracket to the wall or ceiling using the three screws supplied. Adjust the camera to target the video location and tighten the bracket handle on the camera mount bracket. 2) How to Install 1 Overview The CAMERA MOUNT BRACKET is used to attach the camera to a wall, ceiling or shelf. 2 Installation Explains the installation of the CAMERA MOUNT BRACKET as well as the installation of the camera onto the CAMERA MOUNT BRACKET. Choose an installation site that can sufficiently support the weight of the equipment to be installed. Attach the camera mount bracket to the wall using the screws supplied. 16

Individual Component Installation Tighten the handle, turning it clockwise, and lock the camera into position using the knob. Adjust the camera to target the video location and tighten the bracket handle on the camera mount bracket. Handle knob INSTALLATION If you want to watch another location, loosen the handle by turning it in a counter-clockwise direction and then adjust the camera to target the new video location. Then tighten the handle, turning it clockwise, and lock the camera into position. Connect the camera cable to the camera. Use the hood when the camera operates with strong sunlight or moisture. Hood 17

Individual Component Installation 1 Choose an installation site that can sufficiently support 5 times the weight of the equipment to be installed. assy case front 2 Remove the screw (M2.6) at the bottom of the main unit by turning it counterclockwise, and then lift the assy-case front as you push it upward to detach it from the case-rear. (* Do not apply excessive force, as doing so may damage the inside assembly.) screw case rear 3 Place the case-rear over the installation site and mark the screw holes with a pencil (indicated by the circles in the illustration). Drill a pilot hole for each pencil mark (5mm in diameter and at least 35mm in depth), and then fully insert the plastic anchors (HUD 5) into them. Installing the Motion Sensing Camera on the wall Installing the Motion Sensing Camera in the corner 18

Individual Component Installation 4 Connect the Camera cable connector (RJ-45) to the case-rear as well as the cable to be connected to the terminal. (RJ-45) 5 Align the two holes of the case-rear to the holes of the plastic anchors, and then fasten the screw. (BH M3 X 30) INSTALLATION 6 Adjust the direction of the lens and the function switch for the Motion Sensing Camera. 1) Use a cross (+) screw driver to turn the screw (a) (indicated by the arrow in the illustration) counterclockwise slightly. The lens body will move. 2) Tilt the lens body down about 10 from the horizontal, and then turn the screw clockwise to fasten it. 3) Adjust the function switch. (see page10) screw (a) 7 Assemble the assy-case front onto the case-rear as shown in the illustration. Fasten the assy-case front to the case-rear with the screw you removed earlier. Screw 19

Individual Component Installation How to initialize the system 1) NTSC system Press the AUDIO SEL button and the main power switch ON. Every parameters will be initialized with NTSC factory settings. 2) PAL system Press the LIVE/VCR button and the main power switch ON. Every parameters will be initialized with PAL factory settings. How to install the standard video cameras to the system Up to for BNC type video cameras can be installed to the system through the BNC loop out connector for CH1 ~ CH4. When the BNC camera(s) is/are installed, the camera(s) which is/are installed to RJ-45 for the same channel should be removed to avoid the conflicts of signals and 75(Ω) terminator plug(s) should be installed to RJ-45 connector(s) to terminate the video properly. If the terminator is not installed, the video becomes very brighter, clipped or de-colored and easily affected by the noise and the video loss detection may malfunction. Notes on Installation and Usage (Camera) 1 Users should not disassemble the camera from the front direction. 2 Always handle the camera with care. Please avoid shocks or vibration as much as possible and take precautions not to cause damage or make scratches on the camera due to careless storage. 3 Please do not install the camera in a rainy place or in highly humid areas. And do not operate the camera in a wet place. Camera Installation Hints 1 Do not install directly towards rising or setting. 27 About Aalrm Alarm input Alarm signals can be input only through the terminal at the camera. Either an alarm sensor whose contact is normally-closed or normally-opened. Alarm output Alarm output is activated either HIGH or LOW in TTL level according to the setting in setup menu. This output is an open collector output with a weak pull up resister to +5V and can be limitedly used for initiating the vcr recording when the alarm occurs. About Video lost The system monitors the video inputs from the cameras and will switch to quad display mode and generate the beep and 'NO SIGNAL' message if a video becomes absent. The beep and the message can be removed by ENTER(RESET) or the new coming of the video. Alarm operation If an alarm is initiated, a video from that channel is popped up and displayed in a full screen video and generates the beep sound and 'ALARM-x' message, where x is a channel number, will blink at the left upper corner. Once an alarm is initiated, the beep sound and the message will last until it is reset manually by ENTER or automatically after elapsing the duration in ALARM RST in setup menu even though the alarm contact is deactivated. If ALARM RST is set to OFF, the alarm operation will follow the sensor contact immediately. If the multiple alarms occur in a certain duration, the full video will switch in 1 sec for the alarm channels. When a sensor becomes inactive during the multiple alarms, that channel is skipped immediately regardless of ALARM RST to show the other channels with the priority. If an alarm contact repeats active and inactive or another alarm occurs while the alarm is in operation, ALARM RST will be applied for the last activation. HOW TO USE 27
